Weird feet in ground problem with RaceMenu 3.4.4

I say weird because nobody else has mentioned it.

Anyway I'm getting bare feet in ground, (i.e. an offset problem). This also applies to foot ware which hasn't been HDT High heeled. Example :-

The solution I found is to change in Race Menu Body Scales -> 'Legs to body Proportional (depricated)' from 1.01 to 1.07. However this setting doesn't seem to be applied on the reload of a save. The 1.07 value is there in race menu on a load, but I have to set it down a notch then back up to 1.07 on each load to get it to do it's thing.

With race menu 3.4.0 it doesn't do it, and in fact if you load a save which was using the 3.4.4's 1.07 setting, it will set so the character is now hovering above the ground. (i.e. a 1.01 setting seems right for 3.4.0 and 1.07 is a bit hovery, but it is also applying any adjustment made to that setting where the 3.4.4 seems to be ignoring it - probably because it's marked as depricated?, but seems needed).

ps

Skeleton is XPMS 3.21 in case that helps. Also using MO so no crap hanging around - I think.

"Leg to Body Proportion (Deprecated)"

You need a dictionary what "Deprecated" means?

Do not use it because it does shit. That is taken over math from the original ECE files and it is buggy. This is why it is set to "Deprecated".

Umm. Sorry I wasn't actually thinking it was a XPMS 3.21/Racemenu 3.4.4 problem. I was just outlining the situation. I also do know what deprecated means, (even if I can misspell it at will). However in this case a 'deprecated' setting does actually fix, (temporarily), a problem I'm experiencing. Not really sure how I could have outlined the problem in any other terms but thanks for your response, (and skeleton).

In general English usage, the infinitive "to deprecate" means "to express disapproval of (something)". It derives from the Latin verb deprecare, meaning "to ward off (a disaster) by prayer". Thus, for one to state that a feature is deprecated is merely a recommendation against using it. It is still possible to produce a program or product without heeding the deprecation.

So yeah you can still us it even if deprecated, but you produce sunken feet.

1. change calf lenght

2.save preset

3.save the game and exit

4.load the game

5.load preset

6.save game and exit

7.load game and the feet will not be underground anymore

I did not go through the same steps as OP but I have a very similar problem. My feet are fine for the most part with hdt heels but there is one specific instance that causes my feet to sink into the ground and I can reproduce it. It is when I use the succubus wing transformation from PSQ. I have arousal based transformation set so wings sprout at 100 arousal and they disappear when arousal falls below 50. Wings coming out has no problem, but when wings retract from arousal falling below 50, that's when the problem occurs. It's as if my hdt adjusted height was set as the new 0 height, but it did not actually adjust the hdt offset. So my new 0 height with heels on IS the hdt adjusted height, and if I take heels off, feet sink even lower into the ground.

Only way I've been able to reliably fix is to just save and reload the save. Some animations do apply the offset back but I'm not able to determine which ones exactly. I do know there were some instances this was fixed on its own without reloading save. Any ideas on a consistent way to fix this without having to exit the game?

also forgot to add this problem is 100% reproducible if I load a save after loading the initial save (ie if I die or something and the game reloads a save). when every save after the first save is loaded, I will respawn at "ground level", while wearing heels with heel offset from HDT. The biggest problem with this is how this actually messes up my positioning in animations because of the new 0 offset height, all my animation positions are adjusted downward with their default values, and if I go about fixing them while I'm in this sunken state, when I reload the save and my height is adjusted back to normal, the animation adjusts I made are saved and I will be offset upwards when those same animations play. so ideally looking for a way to fix this problem within a loaded game so I don't screw up all my animations

you had a stack dump while having a heel effect removed, or it's the body you use that isn't where it should be

go to heel mcm menu and try some heights until feets are on the floor

load tesedit

copy paste an armor, rename it to height x, give it sbp 45 or 46 or 47... and remove the armature

under object effect copy paste heel effect x (copy paste one and give it x if there isn't one)

equip that armor in game

and try something that use heel effect while you are at it to check you can load more than one of those effects
