dark36 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Right now im having the weirdest problem. I must have broke something so NPC's are not using the body i created through the Bodyslide 2. Im using Temptress race so i manually put everything inside Temptress race's folders even though im using MO. I have tried Copying the contents of Temptress races into the usual data/mesh/actor blah blah to no awail. They are just using the standard CBBE models. Does anyone have any idea what i messed up or how this can be fixed?
Muda Muda Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I think the temptress race use the standard cbbe bodies and it owerwited your custom body. You can fix that by : -Rebuild your body in Bodyslide 2 or if you saved a preset, build your body with that. -Copy the femalebody_0 and femalebody_1.nif you created in bodyslide 2 (data/meshes/actors/characters/characters assets) to your temptress race folder (data/meshes/temptress/actors/characters/characters assets) and owerwrite the files. (make that if you want the temptress race use your custom body created in bodyslide 2). -And test in-game if the body is the same as you created in bodyslide 2 :-)

The character im using is a Temptress but her models are fine. Body i created through Bodyslide is working but it doesnt work for NPC's. My character is fine, npcs are using standard CBBE body. Im trying to change NPC bodies but so far i couldnt change any body type.

And the same can be said for your default body in actors/meshes/something something. Then perhaps, do you use Mod Organiser? If so, there might be a body in the overwrite folder that's overwriting the default body. Only thing that comes to mind atm. Also can you confirm your bodyslide save directory for when you build/ save a new body?

dark36 Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Did you installed Bodyslide 2 manually or with Mod Organizer ? Through MO. Though i should mention that i copied my Temptress folders contents to normal game folders. I even replaced the Caliente body mods files with my Bodyslide generated ones. I just cant see it happening. Only thing that overwrites my body files should be the Fair skin textures which doesnt change my femalebody 0 and 1. I could be wrong but last time i checked it wasnt overwriting those files.

After that, re-build your custom body in bodyslide 2 and test in-game if the body is the same. For fair skin, you're right because it change only the body textures and not body mesh.

BodySlide works just fine with MO. In fact, if you use MO, it's recommended to also use BodySlide through MO. The Nexus description has an installation guide.

I guess something is overwriting the bodies of the NPC's but i checked the mods for what they are overwriting, nothing overwrites my body type. I also cannot edit anything in Outfit Studio because for some reason it gives me XML error. I wonder if they are related.
Vavilov Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Hi, i don't know if this can be useful but it work for me. You can use EFF and Bodyslide together on the named NPCs. Just recruit them, but you can also use the clones of named NPCs, and use the option TATOO. There will be between the tag the "bodyscale" option. At this point you change the character as you want at least for the body, but non for the face. this method does non work for generic nameless NPCs like bandits.
Muda Muda Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Did you use another body mod like UNP or 7base or have you installed CBBE and Bodyslide 2 correctly ? What mods do you use ?
Vavilov Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 i don't use cbbe but only "bodyslide" with EFF.
Akzyra Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Skyrim base folder gets loaded first and overwritten by mods in MO. May be your problem. And BS2 if launched in MO, will generate correctly. The files will overwrite inside of mods if the file exists already. In your Case the new files will be put inside of "mods\CBBE". COuld you post the error you get?
Vavilov Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ok, now.... 1 - create a clone of "gul" 2 - recrute with eff, "tatoos" tag and bodyscale... 3 - 4 .... 5 - 6 the changes work on the clothes) not sure on the belly with mods that affect that node) 7 - a new clone or the original are not affected by changes (but their default cloting yes) i use bodyslide only to change the base body meshes in the data folder, all the rest i put it manually. Bodyscale in the Eff must be an effect of racemenu i think.... imm.zip

Thank you for the ideas guys.No problemo and i just thought of many things. In your first post, you said "I have tried to copying the contents of the temptress race into the usual data/mesh/actor blah blah to no awail. They are using the standard cbbe bodies "right ? Have you checked the"owerwrite"folder in MO or the path of the body you created in bodyslide 2 when you click "build"? Do you use the latest version of cbbe and bodyslide ? Have you installed cbbe with MO or manually ? Have you checked the folder structure of the temptress race mod ? I said that because it's not the same as cbbe mod.

I did check the overwrite folder there wasnt any problem on that part. I was using correct Meshes with my Temptress, Bodyslide meshes were working properly but they for some reason werent working for NPC's. Also Temptress race's meshes should not affect the rest of the npc's. It wasnt overwriting any of the body mesh files. Also just to be extra sure, i tried placing the bodyslide generated meshes into my Temptress folder so there wasnt any chance for it to overwrite them. But one problem persists. I couldnt find any Fix for this. Outfit Studio. Could not load XML file. Because of this i cant edit anything. I did search the Bodyslide comments and hreads throughly but still found no fix for it. Im sure im making a stupidly basic mistake. I noticed the Slider preset i created is only 7 or 10 kb. Rest of the Slider presets are 70 or 50kb. Given the long list im thinking its normal but i've got no idea why this happens.
Muda Muda Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 If i understand correctly, you want to load your slider preset created with bodyslide 2 in outfit studio right ? I said that because you can only edit your slider preset in bodyslide 2. Read this topic and you will understand why you can't load directly your slider preset in outfit studio. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/47064-outfit-studio-preset-doesnt-load/ And for the slider presets with 50-70kb, i don't think these files are slider presets; it's maybe slidergroups or slidersets files and the presets you save are in sliderpresets folder. And also, when you copy your files to another folder, did you click yes to overwrite/replace ? Did you click "build" after you saved your preset in bodyslide 2 ? When you click"build"button, the body you create are saved normally on this path(data/meshes/actors/characters/character assets/femalebody_0 & femalebody _1.nif). Or if you installed cbbe with mod organizer(after click"build"in bodyslide 2),just copy your custom body files to cbbe mod organizer folder.
