Can this PC build run most graphic mods?

Hi,

 

I recently bought a new PC and was just wondering if I should worry about installing too many graphic mods? I was thinking of the 4K texture mod pack: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/?

 

And probably also an ENB.

 

Part list:

 

i5-4690K 3.5ghz

MSI GTX 970 4GB

16GB of DDR3-1866 Ram

128gb SSD

 

Should I install Skyrim on the SSD with the mods? I only have about 60GB left on it though.

I currently have a gtx 970 and an fx6300, I run the game with as many high res textures I could find and a performance heavy ENB (Project ENB fantasy preset).

 

Indoors I get 50-70 fps, outdoors I get 20-40 fps.

 

As for the SSD, it is not necessary but if you have the space on one I would highly recommend it. Before I switched to an ssd I would have load times that were several minutes long, the HD textures make load times horrible.

Well i have almost exactly half of your specs and i'm currently running a total of 539 mods including a plethora of retextures.

Major textures are 2k , Characters/armor and clutter are 4k.

Also i'm running Air enb ..... so yeah i think you can comfortably run whatever you like .

 

Honestly i think is  unnecessary , i personally can't tell the difference between 1k and 2

Hell yeah bro, i got half your ram, gtx 960, and an i7 (basically a tiny step above your i5). I run skyrim with many retextures and highest settings with no probably. That gtx 970 and your 16gb of ram should be enough to handle any game in today's market with ease

i Have..

 

i3-4130 @3.4ghz, with 8gb ram and a R7 260x 2gb card. i have the Skyrim 2k hd(lite package, but can handle the full aswell) all possible armors and weapons atleast at 2k, aMidianborn textures and a enb running full time and keep a 55-60 fps smoothly. grass mods  drop me to around 40 fps depending on how heavy they are.

 

i would surely hope you can too.

Ill take a look at how much SSD room I have left after doing some updates for windows before deciding whether to install Skyrim on it or the HDD

forget the hdd, just install some softwares on it if 128 go isn't enought

and saying you should have x or y fps with this or that is stupid, it depend on your load order

 

was having some stutters, so i load the performance monitor to find the problem

 

 

not that bad with that config

gpu is not at 100% usage, too much textures swapping probably, that cost me 3-5 fps

but the cpu bottleneck that's history

in fact, those stutters, that was because it was time to reboot the pc

but do not forget, his 128GB SSD is very fast fully! she is simply too small.

if he so how I begins Skyrim mods full to use, then he has no more room for anything else.

my Skyrim is already 63.9 GB great!

you don't need a nasa pc to be able to run skyrim

 

and a 64 go skyrim don't mean anything

if a texture is 100 mo, and you load the same one from 4 different folders, you just waste 300 mo of ram (and this reduce your fps of course)
