B0ss plz Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 First off, regarding my last post, I have resolved it but I don't know what this specific crash has taken it's place. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/50981-is-it-me-windows-10-or-my-ssd/ Now, about 5-10 minutes in game, a sudden freeze crash happens. At first I thought I did something wrong, so just restarted the game. But the second time this happened I knew Skyrim will be further unplayable until I resolve this. To be more detailed about this freeze, the game suddenly stops and after a few seconds the screen jitters, slowly increasing then stops. The second time this happened I couldn't ever Alt-Tab or even bring up the task manager. I was forced to restart my PC. Is this common, a way to fix it? Or do I have to list my mods and all that stuff?
RedMonika Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Does the freeze/crash happen at the same place or are you saying that you can just stand still for 5-10 minutes and it will crash on you? You need to be as descriptive as you can to get help. Even posting a copy of your load order would possibly give clues too. For the most part if you're hitting the exact same spot then just by your description I would think that it has to do with textures or if you're entering a town/city that it's a mod. We just don't know until you give us more detail.

Sounds like it could be what happens when you overstress your GPU's memory, it happened to me sometimes on my old card when I tried to play GTAIV at too high settings.

Type msinfo32 in the windows search tab for load order either go to C:/Users/Yourusername/appdata/local/skyrim Example C:\Users\Nice Meme\AppData\Local\Skyrim You can just copy paste that and replace yourusername with the computers logged in name and theres a plugins folder if using MO its in your MO folder under profiles.

Yes, ENBoost is a memory patch that fixes bugs in the game's memory management that can cause crashes and other issues. It is needed by everyone for a stable game. The STEP guide has detailed instructions on installing ENBoost.

Zerosleepless Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 If i were you i'd remove the HighResTexturePack and it's Unofficial High Resolution patch and replace them with something else The official hirez dlc looks like sh*t and is reported not to play well with other mods , i highly recommend you uninstall it. try combining these instead: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/? (I recommend downloading lite option ) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24909/? (retexture for weapons,armors and creatures) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39190/? (Awesome retex for caves and mines) These are the general ones but you'll find retexures for absolutely anything in the nexus (food , clutter, clothing......) I don't know if you have realistic ragdoll and force but if you do then remove it YOU NEED to clean the following esps with TES5Edit: Update.esm Dragonborn.esp Dawnguard .esp Hearthfires.esp DO NOT clean skyrim.esm , the unoffficial patches or any other mod.
