Darkening Demise Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Â It's happening! It's freaking happening! Â Damn 2015 has been a good year of announcements so far, FF7 Remake, Shenmue 3, RE2 REmake, FO4. Only thing that could be better is if The Legend of Dragoon get's a remake.
Anatriax Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I'd rather see a sequel to Legend of Dragoon, than an exact remake. Same with FF7. What happens AFTER Sephiroth is killed?People need to get some original ideas, and quit making remakes. 2015 is the year of the remake. Our games are loaded with it. Our movies are loaded with it... Something original, please!!!
Darkening Demise Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Remakes been around for a while, don't get the butt hurt. I rather see a remaster of classics than a sequel that will do nothing but kill off a series. Just look at Dino Crisis 3! I rather get a remake of the original than another of...'those'. Besides what's wrong with bringing back classics that were hits and some revolutionized things to a new generation and older generations to enjoy? It's easy money to build funds for a bigger project. Besides that doubt LOD will ever come back, twas a cult classic and those never really go anywhere....unless you're a slasher film for some reason.
The DarkSlayer Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Well I hope it's the same as the old school RE games. Really miss the tank controls and fixed camera goodness.
Chaos63 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Claire and Leon are my all time favorites, so this is amazing. Couple that with FF7 which is also getting done, and my level of hype is immesurable. Damn japs never cease to amaze. This may sound weird, but I really hope I survive long enough to play this. If I got hit by a bus or something, I would destroy the universe.
Darkening Demise Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Well FF7 is getting a complete change up. With the original creator of Biohazard gone I doubt RE2 REmake will be 90's survival horror but instead COD action packed garbage like RE4, RE5, RE6, RE Rev, RE Rev 2, RE Merc 3D. RE1 REmake was perfect; updated and yet sticking to the roots. RE0 HD REmaster is eh, just a bit of a visual change and supporting new platforms from the GC original. We got to remember Capcom's history here. They were the ones behind that 'game' directed by Michael Bay and written by Paul Anderson (just minus his Milla Jovovich ).

Fans Have been asking for a RE2 remake for at least 15 years now so it isn't like this is something new and as for what happens in FFVII after they beat Sephiroth I'd recommend you watch the FFVII Advent Children movie as it shows what happens after the events of the game.  LoD was a good game but the story was finished with the first game so there was no reason for them to even consider making a sequel to it.

I honestly don't care if they keep the over-the-shoulder style. So long as it at least somewhat resembles Leon's campaign in RE6(which absolutely blew me away) and our duo spends more than 20 minutes together(stupid fucking original), I'll be very happy with the game. At least in this one we can be sure there won't be any "zombies" shooting guns at you and running at full speed. Oh and while we're at it, fuck the live action movies. Having some mary sue beat up Nemesis in a fistfight why I oughta...  edit: also for the love of god keep the Rev/Rev2 "look for stuff" mechanic. No more of that stupid "running out of ammo? well the next enemy you kill will drop 50 bullets" bullshit. It's the cancer that is killing Resident Evil. Â

Darkening Demise Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 This guy was on the original team back in the 90's so I do have hopes because he KNOWS what we want. He was passionate about REmaking RE2! So I'll have some doubt this will end up RE6ish but I also have hope he will do what's right. After all the REmastered REmake of RE1 sold so well it was Capcom's most successful digital title! So I think they know what the fans want now more than ever. Just look at them brigning us the once exclusive to 64/GC RE0 in HD! Capcom is getting their shiznits together. Let's hope it continues.
...0... Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I remeber playing resident evil 1 mid 90s at time was great think resident evil 2 was even better? Love code veronica on Dreamcast. But remakes should stay true to original if its to much modernise for todays generation i have no interest. I was glad they remake Zelda Ocarina of Time on 3DS again and it was super way better graphics still as original only few minor tweaks but now i could play it anywhere i want love it again playing.
sbr999 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Great news Resi 2 is undoubtedly the best entry in the franchise
Smithnikov Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 If they give it the loving that the first Resident Evil remake got, I think I can get behind this. Otherwise....
