cbvbadlarry Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 okay here is my problem. every time I turn into a vampire lord I see my characters normal body with wings. I tried removing any and all mods relating to the vampire lords, I also tried verifying game cache twice to no effect. the problem is there is no .nif for the female vampire lord in my skyrim folder and verifying does not retrieve it for some reason. I am asking for someone with the vanilla vampire lord meshes to go into their skyrim/data/meshes/actors/vampire lord/character assets copy their female vampire lord nif file and post it for download.
myuhinny Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Unless you are using a vampire lord replacer or mod that adds a vampire lord to your game folder there will never be a nif file for it in your game folder unless you extract it from the dawnguard BSA because all files for skyrim dawnguard and any other DLC are stored in their BSA files.

I don't have any mods that say they do this.

I don't have any mods that say they do this. You sure your not using Shaydow's vampirelord overhaul? definitely, I only have 3 mods that do anything to a vampires model. MNC, vampire lord retexture by Dr fring (makes them even more gross) and vampire ugly face remover. I have taken out all of these with no success.

myuhinny Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 When you did a clean install did you wipe out your whole game folder? When uninstalling a game steam only uninstalls what it installed anything else gets left behind and will appear in your game because it was still in your folder. DLC1VampireBeastRace is this a race mod or the DLC race if it is a mod I bet if you turned it off those errors would disappear.
cbvbadlarry Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 I think it was caused by a file I unintentionally clicked when installing beastess. I had checked 'beastess vampire' and when I removed it I started to ctd on transformation. I am trying to re verify game cache right now. to answer your question I did not. if this does not work I will spend all day tomorrow doing it again. EDIT: time to reinstall properly
