I remember a music video that features musical and lyrical elements inspired by Russian/Soviet folk culture. "Kalinka" song is released in a dance-pop style, and mise-en-scene in the footage brings me good thoughts about my eastern neighbours. It’s not polite nor wise to view a whole nation through the lens of a one-man dictatorship, do you agree with me? My heart rejoices at the sight of smiling girls dancing in black evening dress & corset-consisting costumes.
