Wow now I see how mainstream the music I listen to is, when I hear the kind of stuff you guys listen to!

But well, speaking of mainstream, here is what I've been listening to a lot lately:

I guarantee you no one is thinking "Wow, xzcecs's taste in music sure is mainstream." It's definitely not mainstream to me. I've never heard the songs you just posted, nor that Ptolomaea song you posted along with the Lana del Ray tune. We like what we like, right? For example, in addition to lots of other music, I like Broadway show tunes (and Oliver! is my favorite Broadway musical).

Redefining the mainstream, one song at a time

Oh, when me and my sister were teenagers, her favorite band was Megadeth, and even though I don't listen to metal myself, I happen to know a lot of their songs, because of her. She went to their concert in São Paulo when she was 16, the poor thing got lost and was quite traumatized by the insane crowd, much like in this video!😅

None of us know each other in the slightest, but it's pretty cool to hear the different kinds of music everyone likes.

From brazilian singer Caetano Veloso, in the 70's, during his exile in London from opposing the military dictatorship. Also, translate the name of the album, "Transa", from portuguese 😅

I had to go to youtube myself and search for his stuff because the vid you posted is not available to me (maybe a geo-gated copyright thing). Without your links, as with the links of others, I'd have no idea this guy and his music even existed. 👍

Strictly Ballroom, another of my favorite movies.

EDIT: @xzcecs, this is what I listened to for Caetano Veloso.

Wait.....this one isn't one of your favorites?  A couple of months late.    However, there are so many songs that are great from Oliver (see spoiler)

Everyone has their own Style and Taste in Music, none of them are wrong just different, be yourself and play what you enjoy.

It's also about expanding horizons, when you are exposed to something you would normally not select, or even hear, you take the time to listen to the music & Lyrics you may just find enjoyment in the selection.

Variety is key, if the world were Homogenous it would be a very boring existence.

:thumbsup:You probably knew this but, the women in Africa who wear those rings on their necks, wear so many that it elongates their necks to the point they can never remove them.

This makes my back hurt..

Nope, though most gamers (and game makers) wouldn't shy from Monty Python references, most prefer reaching back to 60s musicals.

Can ya say "Copyright" boys and girls? It's the word of the day! Copyright.

Just kidding, I love Mordin that song is always over too fast.
