Making sex an actual game mechanic

Are there any mods that make sex an actually viable game mechanic and not just porn for the sake of porn? Like there are mods that make it so you can have sex as a way to bypass parts of quests. I want there to be actual pros and cons to it. In those mods there's no downside to having sex, no risk vs reward. Is there anything out there like what I'm talking about?

i don't willingly do a lot of sexual stuff ingame with the exception of licking horses and wearing dd all through the immersive first person view.

but i do agree about it lacking game-esque aspects still. i always wished for a mod that replaces the whole combat and war stuff gameplay/atmosphere with devious play.

Ah, that would be quite an overhaul. I'm sure it's already possible through a combination of mods; there are ways to shag anyone and raise their disposition (and your speech skill at the same time), or join their faction. Pick and choose a bit and I'm sure you could.

Well, we (a company of same-thinking guys) thought about it a lot like 12 years ago - making sex an essential part of a gameplay. Couldn't come up with anything that looked even remotely viable.

 

My current position on this - sex in a game is just a part of immersion. My character needs food, water, sleep, shelter. He/she also needs sex - that's how humans work. Everything else which adds to immersion (enslavement, rape, pregnancy, etc) has a place in a game too. 

 

But unless you're RPing a prostitute - sex shouldn't be that big in a game. Another nice idea would be to SexLabify Vampiric Thirst - since "seduction" there isn't exactly what it should have been, IMO. Along with toning down hunger rate a little, since the game revolves too much around feeding (for my taste anyway). That would be really great and would make sense. I've also tried Succubus play-through - but got really bored soon. Watching your character having sex non-stop is too boring. It's like Frostfall with maximum settings for exposure - you'd be camping every 100 meters.

There's an endless debate, particularly with a few british writers, about game characters/stories being terrible, unrealistic etc and comparing them to films/literature. Yet almost any mention (before you even get to the idea of representing it in-game) of sex causes a mainstream, knee-jerk reaction and judgmental comments about it being perverse or just sad or pornography for teenage boys only.

 

Rounded characters in films often have sex, why should it be a detraction for game characters to do so? And as it's a game shouldn't it surely be a play mechanic to an extent?

This is my problem actually. I don't there to just be a "have sex and win" button when it makes the game so easy. If it replaces a speech challenge then there needs to be some kind of hotness stat to roll against or some kind of downside to having sex like a debuff.

 

For example there could be stats that track your characters attractiveness (for more complexity have racial, weight, and gender preferences for NPCs, or even things like skills could play a role) and that track your sluttiness. Sleeping with people to solve all your problems or getting raped in combat would increase the sluttiness which could harm your speech craft and may make certain NPCs (mara worshippers) dislike you.

 

It doesn't have to be huge overhauls, and I feel like some of this stuff exists in some form, but a system like this would make sex a much more immersive part of the game instead of just being porn for the sake of porn

I had similar idea before, rpg-ish sex mod, but working out the system that would be viable throughout the game is not that easy. I came to conclusion it's such a script hog (tracking all npcs , preferences , all the bells and whistles) for very little return ... Skyrim in its core is very action oriented game, dialogue is secondary. You could hack n slash through vanilla game without paying much attention to dialogues at all. 

 

If you have idea how to make it work I'd like to hear it, cause in all honesty it would essentialy boil down to SexLab Solutions method : use sex in few quests where its viable, rest of time its just random shit thats already covered by lots of mods.

It could be more complex, certainly, by tying into SL Attraction which follows some, maybe all of the things you've mentioned, for example.

This is where More Devious Quests comes in though. Shag around and get a reputation. There's no major practical effect at the moment but if you're RPing then having random NPCs in a town call you a slut (because you chose to fuck someone in an inn to solve a problem) is a bit harsh.

 

My current playthrough (actually called Chastity) is a virgin but spent her first month earning enough money to get out of a high security belt, the reputation earned through her reactions to the occasional vibrations means that a further game month on she still gets called slave in Whiterun, which is kind of upsetting.

 

Galgat's Blackmail in Oblivion had it so that traders might ask if you're "that hero slut" and would not trade with you for a while if you admitted it, this kind of effect would be a good addon for MDQ.

I think what OP wants is currently possible by using various features of various mods, a bit of a balancing act.

 

SL is a sex framework mod, this would need a relationship/attractiveness framework (overhaul of the existing and very simplistic disposition system).

You need to mix several mod for that: With thoose, sex will always be a way to be stronger/resolve quest or a situation, but it will have down side, who can quickly stack.

Sexlab leveling: having sex with a new partner increase stats

 

and to balance thoose good side

 

SexlabApropos: For the Wear and Tear system, having sex exhaust your character, you need to rest. More sex, more debuff

It's not skyrim stamania. 

 

you can add also: Defeat: Battle rape, with wear and tear the more you will be sexually exhausted, more you will be weacker and have chance to get raped, and will be even more exhausted. 

Also have an option to get your stuff robed when raped if you like roleplaying hard.

 

You can add: Dangerous night: Get aggressed when you sleep, as you rest a lot this could be fun, you also have too manage your arousal.

 

you can add Frostfall, for immersion, and with the sexlab frostfall patch, give a new sense to sex: have sex to warm up. - with all the mod above you have to make good choice-

SexLab Aroused does that. Once your arousal level reaches 50, you get skill increase speed penalty - due to concentration problems (which makes total sense ). OTOH, once your character is satisfied, your skills increase 5% faster.

Seeing this post made me think, there is deadly drain. What if, you could give this power to follower with a succubus quest? And then, you can use the dragon shout to disarm foes and command your follower to fuck him to death.

That would be a game mechanic, and not game breaking. Basically, you can chose any opponent and force your follower to deal with him while you deal with the rest the way you see fit.

To do that, your follower would consume the arousal of the opponent first then deal damage with the leftover arousal. Then, depending on her/his profficiency with this type of sex, she would deal more damage/faster. Just like vanilla weapon.

 

Oral is faster but deal less damage and consume a bit more (You get less pleasure with your mouth than vagina)

Vaginal is slower but consume less arousal (you feel more pleasure through there)

Anal deal good damage and (not the most cost efficient, but the most time efficient.)

 

You could replace a skill tree for a sex tree (and devious tree). In perkus maximus and skyre, there is the wayfarer perk tree. I find it pretty useless.

 

I could already see the spells:

--Novice:

-Lust: increase the arousal of the target (support spell)

-Feeling Good: Increase your own arousal

-Desire: Force the target to have sex with you (target arousal must be over 75)

 

--Apprentice

-arousal absorption: steal the opponent arousal (so you can deal damage to their health directly when you kill them with deadly drain)

-Incredible Desire: Force the target to have sex with you (target arousal must be over 50)

-Vaginal Weakness: Make the character takes more damage from vaginal sex

-Oral Weakness

-Anal Weakness

 

--Adept

-Uncontrollable desire: Force the target to masturbate for 5 sec and also Allow you to have sex with her by activating the target (arousal must be over 25)

-Lose focus: Target cannot cast spell because of her arousal for 8 second and her arousal increase

-Arousal Consumption: Absorb the opponent arousal to increase yours and restore your health

 

--Master

-Unleashes desire: AOE around the player, arousal +25 for all then all affected by uncontrollable desire

-Puppet toy: require the user to be at 100 arousal. Consume all the user arousal. The target becomes a temporary ally of the user and can only use Lust and incredible Desire and get to 100 arousal. Once the target as fucked anyone he/she dies. (basically turn the opponent in a 1 time use sex toy to attack an opponent).

 

This would be awesome.

I just crushed my own dream by thinking too much. All this would require an enormous amount of script usage and of tracking the opponents lust. I don't think any computer could support this. The only ways would be either to have a really powerful computer, or to add arousal directly as a character stats, not as a script running in the background. Wich is actually impossible.

I don't know much about scripting for Skyrim but I know some CS and a workaround might be to instead of always running the script on npcs, only turn it on when relevant and instead of tracking it calculate what it would be.

 

Still pretty hard though
