Looking for HDT UUNP Piercing Conversions

I've heard mention of certain piercing sets being converted for UUNP. But I can't find them anywhere, have tried the bodyslide ones for cbbe but they always build out of place.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Start with a UNP set or 7B set and convert them. I've been meaning to get to this but I don't seem to have a lot of time lately.

I'm pretty sure you'll still want to UNPConvert each piece (both nifs, _0 and _1) but I'm not sure if that's really necessary since they don't have an outfit_body in them.

I've just started doing bodyslide conversions for UUNP and did the fox 39 set yesterday (all 11 "outfits"). Still took me a couple hours and each outfit only had bra and panties. So.... someday :)

I tried converting with a unp bodyslide set and they were still off slightly. (Short of nif editing every piercing) I'm stumped.

I have definitely seen some working conversions of the DD soul gem piercings for UUNP (in a screenshot/ random thread mention). But those may have been a private convert, anyone willing to share how they converted successfully or share their converted meshes?

For a UNP bodyslide set you need to first convert to a CBBE shape (I know..... I know.... but hear me out...)

Let's say you have a UNP set and it contains: SoulGemPircing_0, and SoulGemPiercing_1

Open BodySlide, then open OutFit Studio

New Project

Use a Template, select the one for UNP to CBBE (probably have to scroll down to find it)

Next

Load Outfit <--- load your SoulGemPiercing_0.nif

OK

This should load the SoulGemPiercing_0.nif and on the right side of Outfit Studio you see it has a UNP reference shape, and then below that the actual parts of the mesh.

You don't need to edit or move anything .

Just Export NIF with reference body (I know the piercings don't HAVE an outfit_body in them.... bear with me)

Do this for the _1 nif as well.

Now I usually exit OS and BodySlide and restart, but I might just be being anal.

back into OS you go....

New Project

Use Template (this time choose UUNP HDT or UUNP Special. For this I'd just choose UUNP HDT because you're going to delete the body anyways...)

Next

Load Outfit <--- load the _0 nif that you just got done converting to CBBE

OK

This should load the piercing on a UUNP reference body

But you now have a body in the "outfit" that you don't want. The one in the LOWER section on the right (don't delete the reference body which is the very top thing on that side)

highlight the body that's in the outfit and right-click and Delete it. (Are you sure? Yes)

Now you have a UUNP reference body and your piercing

highlight the reference body at the top and switch tab to Bones

#1 Do you see some like L Breast01? If yes, do 1a and 1b below. If NO, then skip to #2

-- #1a  if you see both L Breast, and L Breast01, highlight L Breast01 and right-click and delete it

--  #1b scroll down and do the same to R Breast01

#2 highlight the following 5 bones:

L Breast

L Butt

Belly

R Breast

R Butt

Now WITH THOSE 5 HIGHLIGHTED, switch tab to Meshes

In the outfit (NOT the reference body at the top), right click each part and "Copy Selected Bone Weights"

Now go to Sliders and select "Conform All"

At this point, if doing an outfit, you would check for clipping. EACH SLIDER... minimum.... maximum... move the model around and look for clipping. I would THINK that starting with a UNP shape, the piercings should line up with the nipples. If they don't, THIS is where you have to fix them. MAKE them line up with the reference body. This is definitely the tedious part if you're checking all sliders (believe me I've done it several times now).

Clipping and positioning all set?

Now you can save the project

Save Project As... (BUT WAIT!!! See that box at the bottom left that says to include the reference body? Make sure that is NOT checked for this)

Look over the names, paths, etc, and if it all looks like it should... go ahead and save the project

Done (with THAT set.... how many different piercing sets are there? You need to repeat this for each different nif. Some nifs may simply be retextures to represent a different kind of piercing as long as it's the same shape. Like all soulgem piercings may use the same 2 nifs and just use different textures. I don't know this for a fact as I haven't looked at them yet, but..... that's kinda the directions for UNP to UUNP Bodyslide in a nutshell.

:D

Thanks for that, it helps a lot. Pretty much nailed the lining up issue with converting now, although the piercings get distorted (the actual mesh). Could that be because I had to rotate them a little in OS to get them to line up?

For things like piercings, it's better to clear the slider data (go into edit mode of a slider, choose "Slider -> Clear Slider Data") and then with it still in edit mode, use something like "Shape -> Move Shape" to put the piercing into the right spot without distorting it like conforming slider data does.

Do this for the UNP -> CBBE slider, and each of the UUNP sliders (that modifies the breasts).

And then upload the results for the rest of us who tried following the directions without good effect. ;)

Never had any worth while results :(. I'm not sure why but every convert (piercings only) that I do, the shape comes out slightly uhm.. disturbed.., awkwardly bent. Skew is probably the best word to describe it. Only in game though, in bodyslide/outfitstudio it looks fine.

I also noticed that when I downloaded other peoples conversions (piercings again) I was seeing the same skewed results in game. So I think something is up with my game files. Skeleton perhaps, no idea really. :-/

Well, that's easy enough to test. Send me a copy of your conversion and I'll see if it happens on my pc too.
