An Ambitious Mod Idea (and a shameless plea for help)

I'll be upfront, I've never made a mod before. I've never even programmed a computer before. That said, I have no idea how difficult this idea of mine is, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I highly doubt I'll be able to do it alone, though, so I'd appreciate as much help as people are willing to give me. Success means we'll have a mod like no other. If that grabs your attention, then please, keep reading.

 

The Proposal

 

I've always had a love of immersive mods. My favorites are follower mods that feel like real people, like Vilja and Inigo. I also have a love of kinky mods that let me play out my darkest fantasies. One such fantasy is to be a slave to a cruel yet loving master or mistress. And while there are wonderful mods like Sanguine's Debauchery, which allows you to become enslaved against your will, I still feel a certain level of immersion is lacking. Wouldn't it be amazing if someone could combine the immersive feeling of followers like Vilja with the slavery of SD?

 

I plan to create such a mod, a follower that is a leader. Your leader. Your master.

 

It will start with a short quest, a simple mission your PC can choose to embark upon, but one that will lead to a trap resulting in their enslavement. They will stripped of their equipment, tortured into submission, and finally sold to their new master.

 

This master (or mistress, I won't leave anyone out here) will be as realistic as I can make them. They will have personality, flaws, merits, strengths, weaknesses. They will have a goal in mind, and will lead the way as they put you to work in helping accomplish that goal. They will be as cruel or as kind as you desire them to be. They will reward good behavior, and punish disobedience. They will be as much a true master/mistress as I can make them.

 

The Plan

 

-A lengthy questline, with as deep a story as I can write (and I'm a pretty good writer). You will learn all about your new master, and maybe even grow to care deeply for them. At the end, you will be given the option of seeking your permanent freedom or submitting entirely to your master's control. The choice is yours.

 

-A ton of custom dialog (hopefully voiced by talented members of the community!). Your master/mistress will be location and quest aware, commenting on everything from the weather to the people. They will engage in conversation with NPCs (and perhaps allow you to do so as well). Be a good slave, and your master may even ask you questions about yourself. Be a really, really good slave and you will be rewarded with secrets and insights to your master otherwise unknown to you.

 

-As with SD, you may escape and attempt to flee. But be warned, your master is not about to give up their precious property so easily. Even if it takes a few days, they will track you down, and if you don't win the fight you will be enslaved once more, suffering the consequences for your disobedience.

 

-Your master dresses you to their own preferences (but based on your PC's stats). Depending on what armor mods you have, he will choose one at random that you will be forced to wear.

 

-A cruelty/trust scale, wherein good behavior pushes your master towards trusting you, while bad behavior pushes them to treat you cruelly. Imagine gaining your master's trust so that you are permitted to travel on your own for a certain amount of time, or wear what you prefer. Disobey, however, and you may find yourself gagged and harnessed, and forbidden from leaving your master's side.

 

-Sliders that will determine exactly how cruel your master will get. In the MCM, you will be able to go from slightly cruel (forcing you to dress in rags, eat only what they give you, etc), to extremely cruel (force you to march naked, whip you, beat you, rape you violently, lock you in a cage at night), and everything in between.

 

-Your master demands sex on his schedule, not yours. With mods like SexLab Aroused, they can and will grow more and more amorous over time, eventually leading to sex at their command, even in public.

 

-You will work! Your master will have odd jobs for you to do throughout your travels together. You will carry all his equipment, and supply it to them whenever asked. You will cook for them, buy goods for them, repair their armor and weapons, chop firewood...and maybe, when money is running low, even whore for them as well.

I've never done anything like this before. I've been on this forum off and on for three years now, and the most I've ever done is spout ideas and post requests. But I want this. And I know there's people out there that want this, too. I know it can be done, I've seen elements of this in other mods. If I can just put those elements together, I know I can make something amazing.

 

But I can't do this alone. I'll read tutorials, I'll watch videos, I'll take it one grueling step at a time. But I need help. Even if it's just a point in the right direction, a link to a needed resource, a suggestion, praise, criticism, whatever. I need you guys.

A huge part of the rewrite of SD over the past year aims at doing just this :)

 

I want to set the foundations in generic slavery in order to make it possible to create a mod like what you are describing, with custom quests and dialogues centered around relationship with one master.

 

SD already handles (sometimes partly, but that can be improved):

 

- master tracking you down and enslaving you after you have escaped

- master preferences for bondage gear / master deciding when you can dress yourself or not

- cruelty / trust scale (slider is missing to set the scale but that can be added later)

- master demands sex on their schedule

- slave has to work to earn their keep (for now, slave has to cater to the master's needs - food, gold, sex)

 

I would encourage you to save yourself the time in developing most of that mechanics and build your customized master quests as an add-on to SD+.

 

What I can offer is help with extending SD+ to support what you need it to do.

 

On the other hand, I completely understand if you want to start from scratch and not have to rely on SD+ as a requirement (plus its own requirements and requirements :) )

Start from scratch? Dear god no, not if I don't have to.

 

The last time I played SD, those improvements were not part of it. I'm so happy to hear it's been expanded so much, and in pretty much exactly the direction I was hoping for. I think you're right, I'll rework my idea into an addon for SD, rather than a standalone mod.

well iam on the oposide of that kind of stuff, i usally end up beheading anoing "followers" like you discripe them.

have you ever looked add sexslaves? the andrew comes close to what you discribe. iam shure you can ask aqqh or fishburger when it comes to code and the rest is basicly dialog and ai packs.

 

well voice acting ofc, vija and inigo fell alive becouse of there custem voice.

I'm sorry to add just this tiny piece of information but I would consider to not do any voice acting. If you don't have the proper equipment (studio), the sound might not be rewarding... and if you want an immersive, lively mod, you don't want to have a character speaking in  VoIP quality your story lines. I don't think you would be happy with that result. Voice acting has been an idea many times before, but there are many reasons why people are 100 % happy with "Fuz Ro D-oh".

I'm sorry to add just this tiny piece of information but I would consider to not do any voice acting. If you don't have the proper equipment (studio), the sound might not be rewarding... and if you want an immersive, lively mod, you don't want to have a character speaking in  VoIP quality your story lines. I don't think you would be happy with that result. Voice acting has been an idea many times before, but there are many reasons why people are 100 % happy with "Fuz Ro D-oh".

 honestly why have voices when there's your imagination  :D .  the japanese don't have as much in their games for the same exact reason. this makes fus ro doh ideal

Though to be properly immersive, I suppose the master would have to be the one making all the decisions, including which quests you go on etc. Is that what you had in mind? When you say he'd have a goal, what sort of goal were you thinking of?

Oooooooh! This sounds delightfully splendiferous! I always figure that loyalty will grow when you learn what hardships your master/mistress has gone through. What made them as they are and whether you feel they deserve some release in their life or not in the end. Why are they who they are and why do they get off on what they get off on. It's just interesting to learn about other people like this.

Well, as a loose plot idea, I was thinking he'd be on his own quest, perhaps one of revenge (though that might be a bit too cliche). He'll lead you all across Skyrim, requiring you to aid in various tasks as he gathers information on the whereabouts of his targets. Eventually you'll grow closer together as he trusts you more and more (provided you earn that trust) and he'll tell you more about his past and so on. Finally there will be a perilous choice: save him from certain death but remain his slave, or leave him to die and regain your freedom. If you choose the former, I think it should be a romantic decision, something you do out of love and respect of your new master. After that, he'll take a semi-back seat, allowing you to choose which quests you go on, but always with the understanding that he's in charge and you take orders from him. Maybe some questlines will be his idea, and he'll command you to engage them.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the idea. I'm frankly intimidated as all get out, but eager to give this a solid try.

 

I hope I can write the character with enough depth to answer the questions you pose. As I said above, my initial idea might be too cliche to hold anyone's interest for long. I'd rather strike out on something a bit more original, but I'm having trouble thinking of an alternative. I'm open to suggestions, though!

Take the first step ... open CK, create one NPC for your master and place him in the world.. then create one empty quest with that NPC and the Player as Quest Alias.

 

This is the basic structure of your mod.

 

You can build everything else on top of that, one piece at a time.

That should keep you busy for a while :)

 

As for the quest, start with something small - meet the NPC, say hello and exchange a few lines of dialogues... maybe even a scene.
