swmas Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I was wondering if Feminine Females which was not updated for some time is safe to install and will not overwrite USKP fixes done to the NPCs it affects. If so, is there another similar mod? I was thinking of installing FNIS Sexy Move but I'm not sure how demanding it is performance wise.
gvman3670 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I still have FF installed and use it. Haven't updated stuff in a few months, though.
Sarathis Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Feminine Females absolutely works but it does overwrite some stuff from USKP, mostly minor fixes. I just took the mod into TESVEdit and altered the FF.esp to reflect the changes from USKP. It doesn't take long.
swmas Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Would you share that esp please? TESVEdit looks like Chinese to me. It would take so long to figure out how to do it myself since I only used it to clean my masters and even that took a step by step tutorial on youtube.
Sarathis Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Unfortunately I can't do that. I've made several alterations to my FeminineFemales.esp in order to make it work with Decent Women, USKP, Custom Orc Female Replacer, and my own Female Hairstyles Replacer mod. The plugin has too many dependencies to work in your game, you'd instantly CTD if you tried to load it. You should try to use TESVEdit, seriously. It's not that difficult to understand and the things you can do with it are amazing. All you need to do to fix FeminineFemales.esp is load it and USKP then do a comparison. The program will show you any discrepancies by highlighting them in yellow or red. Don't be alarmed if they are, it's normal. The game can still play just fine with many of the entries highlighted. What you're looking to make sure is that Opposite Gender Anims in each character's entry under Non-Player Character (Actor) remains blank, like so: That's really the only big change that Feminine Females makes. For 90% of the other changes you can simply grab the entry from USKP and drag it over to Feminine Females to add the entry in. Doing that will make Feminine Females dependent on USKP but who cares? No modder really plays without it anyway. So, as an example, if you wanted to keep the WIDeadBodyCleanupScript that makes NPCs disappear after a while of being dead you'd just left click and hold the blank field I circled, then drag it over to the Feminine Females plugin and drop it in the appropriate space. Easy peasy. Once you're finished editing your plugins just hit the X in the upper right to close TESVEdit and it'll show you which plugins you edited and ask you if you want to save them. Hit OK and you're done. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CLEAN, UNEDITED BACKUP OF ALL YOUR PLUGINS BEFORE EDITING! That's just common sense but sometimes when you're excited and in a rush to make changes mistakes can happen. Always have backup .zips of all your mods. Trust me, learning how to make simple changes to your plugins using TESVEdit makes understanding mods in general so much easier. I'm running 201 plugins on a seven year old machine and it works like a dream. The more you know and the more problems you can fix on your own, the better your gaming experience will be.
