Fair Skin Wrist Seam

Hi Guys, 

 

I've been trying to get Adorable Face to work for the Tania race, and finally managed to get the face textures working. 

 

However, I have a pretty huge seam color mismatch going on in the wrist area. I've double checked and I copied all the files over correctly, and I made sure the body .nifs were referring to the correct textures. Any ideas why? I think the Tania body (un7b) uses new hand meshes, but I dunno if that's the issue.

 

Oh, and I should mention that the relevent textures here are from Fair Skin. Adorable face uses those. Thanks!

If the hands don't match the body you will get seams you need to use hands made for that body type otherwise you will get seams. UNP use UNP hands UNPCM use UNPCM hands 7BASE use 7BASE hands and so forth.

Yeah it's weird because I'm using the hands that came with Tania race. And I tried replacing the body and hands with 7Base hands and I still got seams. I'm probably making a rookie mistake in here somewhere...

 

Edit* I feel like it might be calling hand textures from somewhere else, but I have no idea why that would be. I tried replacing my npc female non custom race hand textures and got the same result.

The default is to use UN7B bodyand SG versions of Tania textures, add ECE-More Body Sliders increase in regulating the body's option, Tania eyebrows is the 24st , and Tania eye color to replace the broen, if you want to use the other body, please replace yourselves.

 

Hm, if you didn't already test it: I'd go for Bodyslide, take a Unified HDT preset of my choice, create body + hand + feed meshes (they will always match perfect when build this way), copy it into the custom race folder and than copy the Fair skin files for 7B into the custom race folder. If that doesn't solve the problem, something else must be replacing the files.

Hmm, I'm a bodyslide noob and not sure what you're saying to do there, but I'll fiddle with it. 

 

Weirdly enough, I did a fresh ningheim install and still had seams, so I might have some weird conflict somewhere that is pulling hands from somewhere.

Bodyslide is easy to use, even with Mod Organizer. And since its last update, the Unified UNP package is included already. Don't worry, creating a body mesh with Bodyslide is very easy.

 

As for the seams with Ningheim: the picture might be a little small (or my eye sight to bad), but that looks like a seam plus discoloration. Since all those race mods use their own folders, I'm not sure if anything could overwrite those files if you did not put them there. Meaning:

 

-> vanilla filetree: data\meshes\actors\character\character assets\ & data\textures\actors\character\female

-> race mods: The Ningheim Race\meshes ... & The Ningheim Race\textures

 

Maybe you copied something into the race mods, but did not put the files in the right sub-folder? Ningheim uses separate folders for body / sekelton / head.

this only apply to the head

 

 

 

 

 

either you copy paste your textures in the custom npc folder, and load them x time in game (to get more ram ctd)

either you make that npc load your textures (body and hands that's the esp, head that's the nif in data\mesh\actors\facegendata\espname\id of follower.nif, because tintmask)

That's whats so confusing to me. I didn't put anything into the race mods, because I only downloaded ningheim and silmeria after i was having issues with tania. So I didn't add a single thing into them, just downloaded them and then loaded them, and they had the weird hand issue. Here's my loadorder if that's any help. Try it without Demonica. Most of your mods are armors & general overhauls, I guess. But Demonica is a completely different thing from the UNP / CBBE stuff you find around here. Yatol is very familiar with Demonica - maybe better input comes from this direction of the community

Oh, but this seam happens even without any armor equipped.

reinstall the npc mod and check in game if that got rid of whatever wasn't done right
