snsd4203 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 1. 4k quality clothing with perfect bone weighting with no weight seams. 2. Quest mods based on lesbian loves. Other than these I don't know :/
Guest Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Lets not joke about actually paying for mods. This whole debacle should die out soon enough. Contributing directly to a mod author with feedback, money, or shared content is fine, but mods for games should never be paid for.
shunter Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I'd probably pay for mods that I felt deserved my money. I don't know why people getting so uppity about paying for mods. Imagine if Bethesda allowed modders to simply sell their mods without Valve or Beth itself getting involved. This is just an idea I had now and I haven't thought this through, but I think it could work. I'm aware of all the implications and of the can of worm you open once you discuss about dependencies and everything else... one of the reasons I think Valve's idea will never work.
Shadowhawk827 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I'm on the fence here. I do mostly agree with TowerWatch here. My one piddly mod on the Workshop will remain free, period. On the flip side (and mostly to play devil's advocate), why shouldn't people have the option to get paid for their work? Let the free market decide. My prediction is that TowerWatch is right and this whole thing is going to collapse. The only mods I see people being willing to dish out a FEW bucks for are the mega mods like Interesting NPCs, Falskaar or Wyrmstooth where they add significantly to the game. Even then, it had better be new and bug free. Either way, it's nothing to get bent out of shape over. As said, the free market will straighten itself out here when people realize nobody will pay money for a recolored iron sword.
gregathit Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 There are already enough threads on this: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/46129-paid-mods-for-skyrim/
