Zydar Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I know there is a dialogue option to beg for coins introduced by either SD+ or Sexlab Dialogue, but I was wondering if its possible to extend it to food and water as well? I'm not only talking about when being enslaved but also while still free as well. The idea is, instead of relying on containers to feed yourself you could beg to NPCs to feed your character instead. They would then take the food from your inventory (if any) or they would take one out of their own. If neither you or them have any food/drink, then the whole affair would fail. Alternatively, the success for being fed could also be based on percentage chance instead of the availability of items. So upon success an food item will spawn in their inventory which will be fed directly to our character. To make things interesting, they would have a chance to demand sexual favor first before feeding you. After being used, they also have a chance to walk away w/o feeding you (either because they're bad or they just don't have the items). This could be affected by their arousal level. As a tie in to SD+, the more you beg the more likely your slavery level increase (or the more submissive your character has become) and that will affect your dialogue in your next enslavement. This is assuming that you play with Realistic Needs in your gameplay. I thought of something similar for Frostfall, but perhaps SexLab Warmbodies and tempting the NPCs to sex will be enough for that. UPDATE: Seems like I need to read more on this forum or explore more of each mod. Skyrimll has already implemented this in SexLab Dialogue but with some prerequisite of course here (enslaved once, wearing a collar and at slavery level 1).
StayFrosty Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I would love to see something like this also, though not tied to RND dependancy or Slavery, would be excellent
Zydar Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 I would like to try my hands on modding and I might try making one based on this. But I will just leave this here in case anyone would like to do it first.I'm not sure but maybe a good starting template is something like SexLab Paycrime? I'm still just dipping in my toes so far into learning how to mod and this might take a while. UPDATE: Seems like I need to read more on this forum or explore more of each mod. I will still try to learn some basic modding tho just in case.
DeepBlueFrog Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 That's correct You can already use Dialogues to beg for food, drinks or sleep... even for skooma if you meet the right conditions. I am still tweaking the system to allow for more flexibility so the conditions may change eventually.
Content Consumer Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Ooh! How about begging for clothing? These tattered rags of mine are in pretty poor shape, do you have a spare set of cloth, sir or madame? Now, that could be considered a pretty strange thing to beg for (and, of course, it is), but I had an idea... Begging for items dependent on NPC class. I'm thinking that you could probably beg for gold coins from everyone, but only beg for food from food vendors or innkeepers. Beg for a bed for the night from an innkeeper. Ask for a spare iron dagger from a blacksmith. Ask for spare clothes from a clothier. Got any reading material, Mr. Bookseller? This would have worked better in Oblivion, where there were multiple merchants of various types spread throughout the game... in Skyrim, only allowing for begging for clothes from clothiers will limit you to one single shop in the entire world. And I don't know of anyone outside the College of Winterhold who is a dedicated librarian/bookseller. Ah, well, I continue to lament the decreasing size of "major" cities in every ES game. Still, depending on your speechcraft, you might be able to beg for more stuff... higher speechcraft, and you can spin a sad tale about how a bandit stole all your money, and you just need a stout leather jerkin and good iron sword to go get revenge. It's an investment in your future, Mr. Blacksmith; after I return with the goods, you'll get back your equipment, and a bonus besides! Hmm... Now I want to write dialogue for this.

That sounds like a good extension for the begging feature in Dialogue. I like that idea of begging for other items... I will have to give it some thought... Even if not begging for specific items from specific classes, you could give items from those classes anyway. I mean, instead of begging for iron daggers from blacksmiths and food from food vendors, you could just beg for anything... Please, sir, I'm very poor, can you spare anything? Apothecary: Random ingredient General merchant: Random item Blacksmith: Random weapon or armor Mage: Random enchanted item Food vendor: Prepared or cooked food Farmer: Random raw food (vegetable) Miner: Random ore Priest: Random healing potion Spell vendor: Random scroll Tailor: Random clothing Fletcher: Random bow or arrows Lumberjack: Random amount of wood All other classes: Random gold I dunno, this is prone to possible exploitation... for example, it's better to beg from a miner, because you might just get a piece of ebony ore. Perhaps add a random chance for it, dependant on the item value... that is, if a Miner is set to give you a random piece of ore, first determine the ore, then look at the ore's value, then say "whoa there, this is expensive damn ore" and hijack the script so the miner ends up saying "nope, you get nothing, piss off you dirty beggar you." Or better yet, tie it into personality... somehow. A "generosity" stat can be made for every single named NPC in the game, and you could base it off personality (i.e. begging from Bolli nets you a decent amount, but begging from Grelka nets you nothing). Modified by relationshiprank, maybe. It's a hell of a lot of work, but somewhat interesting...
DeepBlueFrog Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 It would make sense to cap the quality of what is given to the beggar. Even someone loaded and generous would hardly give a piece of ebony for mining purposes I see begging as a quick way to get back on your feet when you are down on your luck... not a way to get glass and daedric freebies..

Thats realistic at least. You could have some kind of percentage chance of getting something nice. In the real world we don't see people handing out large bills to the homeless all the time, but we do see the rare cases online.
DeepBlueFrog Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I'm happy to say the next version ofDialogues will support begging for items from Innkeepers, Merchants, Priests, Farmers and Tailors
Guest Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I'd really like to see this kind of mod integrated/comptaibile with Maria Eden.
