Anyone else having problems with the massage table not working?

Also, what kind of problem are you having? Is it the Kinky animations or just getting/giving a massage in general?

 

 

I've not tried using kinky on the table, but the other interactions do nothing. When clicking either give or receive, the action doesn't even appear in the queue for either party. I imagine the community lot massage table mod will work, as it uses it's own script and is a separate item, so it probably doesn't have any kinky actions either.

 

Unfortunately, that sounds like normal behavior for the massage table. The action doesn't appear for both parties until the giver is successfully pushed towards the table. Usually, you'll see the action flash briefly and then it cancels silently. It will always fail if either party is tired or having some other breakdown. Sometimes, other interactions get in the way also. You just have to keep trying or use the modded version. The modded version has similar behavior, but is less likely to fail because it generates a masseuse that not only is forced to stay put, but to also stop whatever else he is doing.

 

Now, if neither sim is tired and it never works no matter how much you try, it might help to reset the table and the sims in question.

 

 

 

Odd, as this is the first time I've ever encountered the problem, and I've had the table in all my houses since it's release. I'll have to play around with it some more and see what I can work out.

 

 

Ahhh, that's probably why you've had better luck than usual. There are fewer distractions on a home lot and you usually have control of both sims. I just assumed it was on a community lot.

I don't think it matters. I got a call girl with max athletic and max martial arts and she still gets raped on the regular. Unless there's something I'm missing. Though I'm an experienced simmer I just recently went full all out with KW too so I'm still learning all the ins and outs.

maybe i've found the right setting for the compression of the videos for the kinky tv. It works on my laptop, but I think it's better if someone else tries the package. It has actually only the exhibition channel replaced.

 

If you see lagging or "fast-forwarding" videos, it means that i have to continue with the tests.

 

Obviously, all credits goes to oniki and the animators. I've only registred some video and converted them before inserting into the package.

 

Just delete your scriptcache.package in the sims3 folder and replace the ONIKI_Videos.package in the folder where you installed kinkyworld (or rename it, it's always better to have a backup).

maybe i've found the right setting for the compression of the videos for the kinky tv. It works on my laptop, but I think it's better if someone else tries the package. It has actually only the exhibition channel replaced.

 

If you see lagging or "fast-forwarding" videos, it means that i have to continue with the tests.

 

Obviously, all credits goes to oniki and the animators. I've only registred some video and converted them before inserting into the package.

 

Just delete your scriptcache.package in the sims3 folder and replace the ONIKI_Videos.package in the folder where you installed kinkyworld (or rename it, it's always better to have a backup).

Edit: It worked fine no lag on the game I'm playing...Nice job!! Just an idea maybe you should start on how to thread so people can add their own porn to TV. It was great in Sims 2.

By the way - does anyone have autonomy problems with KW ? I am used for my sims to wait a few sim minutes after a user directed order before they begin to autoselect their activities, but since I use KW, they instantly go on autonomous as soon as they don't have an order. I don't know if it's KW, maybe a side effect of high autonomy, or another mod, though. I'll have to test without KW and compare. It may explain the massage problem...

 

Yes, I have autonomy problems with KW  from last public release too. Same problem i observed in older builds if I set ForceHighLODAI option to true (this option is missing in latest public build). This option affected all my active sims to react autonomously with autonomy disabled in the game. With disabling this option problem disapeared.

Only possibility in the latest public build is for me manually disable autonomy not only in the game, but for all active sims also via Nraas Master Controller, but this is not stable too - problem reappears... I tried disable autonomy with KW option, but without effect...

Maybe it's a male female thing. My male gigolo just had a rapist try him and he's zero athletic and zero martial arts and he just wiped the floor with him. And I did mention earlier my prostitue had just woke up and she still got raped. The plan was since she was going to be doing that life I wanted her to be able to handle herself so I maxed out her athletic/martial arts. I don't know?

I believe in the animation options you can chose fully naked or naked outfit. one of which will give total nude Sims for kinky actions.

More precisely : I have problems with the table whenn there are lots of potential distractions for either of the sims - one will then tend to go do something else and the massage won't happen. Alas, no - the assault fight does not follow normal fighting rules, the chances of winning are based, it seems, on the energy level of the victim only. Athletics, Martial Art and none of the other factors from the normal fight rules (culturist, evil, etc) count.

Umm I encountered a problem recently whenever I try to change animated woohoo positions my sims just freeze and then reset themselves after. 

 

After clicking on another fuck animation the current animation finishes and then freezes, only to reset the sims a few minutes later.

Lastly, where can I find the horse/dog animations without having to masturbate on all fours? The dog dosent always mount the sim.

Lol yep I agree about the heels. I like how the shoes stay on though. Sometimes I just switch it to naked outfit though but I mainly wanted one the removes shoes only. Like when sims come home from work or school just kick off shoes. I know there's a dresser mod that requires you to add same outfit and no shoes but I have my dresser set on reroll for different clothes different day.

Potential bug / unwanted effect : babies seem to react to IsRevealing.

I am not sure it is the cause , but I have a baby sleeping in her parents bedroom. She sleeps well when the father is the only one here - he doesn't wear revealing clothes at sleep. However, when the mother is sleeping (she wears revealing clothes, even sleeps in the nude sometimes, thanks to high exhib skill and autonomy), the baby, if she has low energy, will fall asleep and wake up immediately, then fall asleep again, wake up again, and so on until the mother leaves the room or changes to non revealing clothes.

If the baby is alone and sleeping, she wakes up a few minutes after the mother in revealing outfit enters the room.

As I've seen from time to time the husband wake up at night to react to his wife's nudity, I think the baby reacts to the broadcasting. But it could be completely unrelated to KW.

 

While we are talking naked/fucking broadcasters - not only do they affect all sims on the same lot, wether they can see or not, I also have had neighbors reacting, on their own lot, to sex happening in a room on the active lot. I would suggest making the broadcasters "room only", some day.

 

EDIT : after further testing, I can confirm that a sleeping sim will wake up and react to a naked/revealing sim entering the room, whatever his/her energy level.  It makes life as a couple quite difficult I may have to give them separate beds

I think the reaction to the broadcaster interrupts too strongly current actions.

It may also explain why mixologists and other NPCs in my game are always running around reacting to sims rather than doing their job. It's especially jarring with mixologists, as they may well decide to react in the middle of making a drink and wander away.

I forgot about energy. Yeah, energy probably overrides skill levels, but they still matter. A rapist with a lower skill than a victim won't win the fight. If either is low on energy, I'm sure that affects the ability to fight, regardless of skill.

Well, I told sometime ago of one of my sims , 10 athletism, martial artist 5. She had just won a fight against one of her ennemies (athletics10, too), while tired, with no effort. She then went back home - where she was gang-raped by three rapists withno fight skill at all. This sim spent a lot of her time fighting (vampire vs hunter storyline) and she never lost a fight for energy - see this wiki.

Also - my current sim is a loser - but she won a fight against a rapist who attacked her, something that, according to the wiki, should never, ever happen. Of course, the Wiki's data may be wrong - but I can predict accurately the result of fights, not the results of rapist fights.

 

 

Now for something completely different, still about my naked broadcaster problem above.

It is getting ridiculous ! I've just left the game, half amused, half grumpy, because of the following situation :

Wife is sleeping in the bedroom upstairs, in EA underwear (they have the isRevealing flag).

Her husband is on the ground level. I tell him to go in the garden because I want him to take a photo there. He goes in the garden - then run to the bedroom to react to his wife in revealing clothing.

I tell him to go back in the garden - as soon as the move is finished, he runs back to his wife, again.

After doing this six times, I've left the game. The "run back to laugh at/applaud/praise /deride naked wife" is not an action I can cancel (no order int he list) and I'm quite certain he will do it again and again all night long I'll try to give him specific orders, but he already cancelled some during the day to run to her.

It makes playing a "normal" sim family life quite hard at the moment. I may deactivate or unistall the mod - just to see the difference it makes in sim autonomy and behavior, and give more accurate reports - if anyone is interested in having compatibility between KW and normal gameplay, rather than concentrating on pure Kinky gameplay.

We can't really use the wiki as a reference for the mod, because Oniki can change up default behaviors however she sees fit. The rapist is a specific situation created for the mod, so we can only go by how Oniki tells us it should work. Of course, you could also be experiencing a bug of some sort.

 

As for the broadcaster, there was a bug in EA's method of determining when a sim is outside or in a room. It causes the problem you've described. That was corrected and should be fixed in the next public release. Babies shouldn't be reacting regardless, though. That may have to be looked at.

Actually, it's the point I was making : rapist fights do not work as normal fight. It is not a bug, but a game play issue - a choice of game play that may, or may not, fit what players would like. The number of questions on this specific aspect in the last few pages shows, I think, that many players expect the fights to work as they are used to, and are surprised to see that it doesn't - and even more that their sims seem unable to defend themselves in any way (just like I was surprised to see that home alarms do not react to rapists).

But it is a gameplay choice, not a bug. It may be worth talking about, though, I think, because for many players, training a sim to be able to fight seems the good gameplay answer to counter the rape problem - and feel that something is wrong when it does not. I believe that if you introduce a danger in the game, it is good to introduce a way to prevent the danger.

It depends on what players expect from the rape feature : a danger that you have to control, or the opportunity for more sex scenes.

 

In fact , I am beginning to understand that many of the "bugs" I spot are not worth reporting - because for many of them (including broadcaster problems), they may be choices made to make sure that the kinky aspects of the mod are prevalent on normal game play, and they won't bother players who are interested in making the mod the center of their gameplay, not just an addition to their "as-usual" game.
