bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I did a clean install of Skyrim a few days ago because I was having an issue with freezing (it ended up simply being a messed up armor, derp!). My clean install came from a back-up I placed on my backup harddrive and had nothing done to a single file in it. Since then I've been having an issue with super low framerate (I saw it at less than 20 earlier) and I have no idea what is causing it. I did the manual install of SKSE, I Use Mod Organizer, the main files (Update, Dawngaurd, and Hearthfires) have been cleaned with TESVEdit, Loot gives me no warnings, or just one cause it still says I need to clean Dawngaurd, then I installed my ENB. I know the ENB is the first thing anyone will point too, but, before this new install I had the same ENB active and regularly had a framerate in the 57 to 60 range, now I only hit 60 if I'm in my menu. The ENB I use is RealVision (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/?) I followed the instructions, I followed up with the links provided to the Speed and Stability Guide and followed their instructions (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?) I have absolutely no idea what else to do Other minor annoyances: my character still has static bewbs, and Khajit/Argonian tails are sticking straight out (think I know how to fix that one though)
Aimi Sakura Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 My one also under 20 FPS, coz I run the game with some HD replacers (1K to 4K).HD Textures + Intel HD Graphic = FPS drop to 20.
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 HDT Log? I do have an HDT mod active, where do I find the log? My one also under 20 FPS, coz I run the game with some HD replacers (1K to 4K). HD Textures + Intel HD Graphic = FPS drop to 20. I used Optimizer Textures to compress the textures, I pretty much use only 1K textures and had no issues in the past. Also, I can confirm it has nothing to do with the enb, I removed it from the Skyrim folder (and backed it up of course) and had the exact same issue. Heres my PC rig if it helps CPU: Intel i5 3.4 ghz Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2gb GDDR5 VRam 16 GB DDR3 ram
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 HDT Log? I think I found it, and it looks like I'm getting a lot of this: [01/04/15 11:30:22]ERROR: Illegal hkx file : HDT Belly - Fixed/Keyframed body without binding! Could this be the cause of the slowdown? It would explain why in cities it was dropping to less than 20 (and less than 10 one time). Just gave the game a quick test by playing it directly through steam up to the point where I enter the keep and Alduin attacks, absolutely no framerate issues, so the problem is definitely a mod. Gonna play again through steam with the enb on and see how it performs Ran from the keep to Whiterun, no issues, kind of starting to belive that the HDT mod is the big problem, gonna start going through MO (without the HDT mod) and see how it goes
RezTheFatal Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Load order? Some heavily scripted mods nuke fps, Frostfall and Wet and Cold are two of the biggest culprits but there are others.

I Had the latest XPMS Skeleton installed, heres what I choose for it: 1st person: "No special mod" Quiver/bolts like in Frostfall but bolts at the left hip One handed weapons, daggers, axes on back, two handed on hip Extended Monster Skeletons ECE Sliders Under Havok I choose the very first skeleton rig map (not the bbp one) The HDT mod I use is "HDT Physics Extensions All In One 14.28 version (Edit 6 by Daie)+weapons" from: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/26891-how-to-enable-hdt-belly-distortions-with-sos/page-15
ousnius Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Did you make sure nothing conflicts/overwrites the XPMSE skeleton in your MO data order?
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Load order? Some heavily scripted mods nuke fps, Frostfall and Wet and Cold are two of the biggest culprits but there are others. I actually don't use Frostfall, I didn't know Wet and Cold could be problematic though, I love the idea and I've always had it. I tried Frostfall once but it kept crashing
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Did you make sure nothing conflicts/overwrites the XPMSE skeleton in your MO data order? I always try to make sure that I have as few conflicts as possible, it's damn near impossible to avoid it 100%, but I do things like, if I want the XPMS Skeleton, I delete one from another mod if the conflict arises Oh heres a question, do I delete the Skeleton from Schlongs of Skyrim and leave XPMS, or vice versa?
ousnius Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 The female skeleton has to be the one of XPMS Extended (are you sure you're using the Extended one)? Let it overwrite the SOS female skeleton (does it even come with one?). http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/download/1000140930
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Ok, I'm 90% sure I have the HDT stuff and the Skeleton installed properly, there must be something else, running the game through MO again caused the framerate to dip to 14 Heres the mod list: # This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer.Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthFires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espClimatesOfTamriel.esmRaceCompatibility.esmSchlongs of Skyrim - Core.esmSexLab.esmXvision Children.esmActive Plugins Display.espBetter Dynamic Snow.espCharacterMakingExtender.espAuto Unequip Ammo.espClimatesOfTamriel-Dungeons-Hazardous.espClimatesOfTamriel-Sound.espClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-Level-3.espEnhancedCharacterEdit.espdD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.espEnhancedLightsandFX.espELFX - Exteriors.espBloodyFacials.espFootprints.espSK Child Armor Swapper.espHDT Havok Object.espHeadtracking.espIceBreaker's Improved Reverb v0.025.espSOS - Smurf Average Addon.espLost Magic.espChesko_WearableLantern.espRaceCompatibilityUSKPOverride.espSOS - VectorPlexus Muscular Addon.espSOS - VectorPlexus Regular Addon.espUSKP Patcher for RaceCompatibility.espSchlongs of Skyrim.espSkyUI.espELFX - Dawnguard.espEnhancedWetnessandPuddles.espAdded_Killmoves_All_Weapons+Last_Enemy_Limit_Removed+Player_cannot_be_killmoved.espNo_3rd_Person_killcam-3rd_Person_only-Above-Behind.espWATER DG.espSMIM-Merged-NoDragonborn.espSOS - Shop.espTrueBrows.espProper Aiming.espClimatesOfTamriel-Interiors-Warm.espWATER.espXvision Children - Main.espXvision Children - HF.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espImproved Combat Sounds v2.2.espdD-No Spinning Death Animation.espkillmoverandom-20-P-L.espdecap_chance_10.esp I don't recognize SK Child Armor Swapper.esp, I don't have any RCOTS stuff on

azmodan22 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Chances are that in your .xml file the belly nod is name as NPC Belly. You need to rename that to HDT Belly for the latest skeleton to work. Details are in the SKSE 2.33 download thread.
RezTheFatal Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Footprints.esp is fucking notorious for causing slowdown get rid of it.
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 So yeah, I'm still getting this: [01/04/15 13:47:25]INFO: Physics system loaded : Data\SKSE\Plugins\hdtm.xml[01/04/15 13:48:25]WARNING: Cannot bind bone : NPC Belly - bone doesn't exist Framerate was 14 in Dragons Reach, 120+ when I went into the menu. So is it the skeleton or the HDT? Assuming that one of the two is the issue.

I do have notepad++

Open up all hdt.xml/hdtm.xml/hdtDefaultBBP.xml files you can find in Notepad and replace all occurences of "NPC PreBelly" with "HDT Belly". Make sure custom followers that come with their own skeleton use XPMSE as well (replace theirs with XPMSE). NifSkope is of no use for this. Don't even open it.

bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Well, in cities my fps seems to be between 45 and 60, in the wilderness it tends to be 55-75. I call this a win. I am still getting this: 01/04/15 14:28:35]WARNING: Cannot bind bone : NPC Belly - bone doesn't exist[01/04/15 14:28:35]ERROR: Illegal hkx file : NPC Belly - Fixed/Keyframed body without binding! I'm unsure why, I did change all the .xml files though so....hmmm, do I need to change NPC Bellty to HDT Belly in the characters body type? Well either way, it's running much better now, so thanks everyone for helping me out. Changing the belly type was not something I would have known even needed to be done otherwise
huntylock Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Actually I'm experiencing a rather similar problem, and I think HDT settings might be the culprit here as well. Could you tell me where you found the log (.XML) files ?
Roachboy Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 My Skyrim was unplayable (had upgraded to newest groovetama skeleton, racemenu etc) ... it was like a slideshow. In the log I saw a similar error message (couldn't find bone ... here it was for a shield) ... I changed the htd.xml file and now everything works.
bigglebojiggle Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Actually I'm experiencing a rather similar problem, and I think HDT settings might be the culprit here as well. Could you tell me where you found the log (.XML) files ? SKSE/plugins has 3 hdt files My Skyrim was unplayable (had upgraded to newest groovetama skeleton, racemenu etc) ... it was like a slideshow. In the log I saw a similar error message (couldn't find bone ... here it was for a shield) ... I changed the htd.xml file and now everything works. What did you change in the hdt.xml file? I've changed all 3 to HDT Belly from NPC Belly. I edited 2 files that had NPC Belly and changed them to HDT Belly, I looked a second ago and it still said NPC Belly? What the hell Notepad++?
Roachboy Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I do not know where I got that particular hdt.xml file from ... but when I downloaded the standard hdt package and looked at the hdt.xml included, I noticed that it did not contain any reference to that certain bone that the log file was complaining about, whereas the hdt.xml file in my game install folder did. So I simply swapped the two files. Is it possible that your hdt.xml contains two references to belly? Mine did ...
