Yes, painful transitions that weren't worth it... I remember after switching from Autodesk's 3dsmax to Softimage's XSI, Autodesk bought Softimage. Okay, it was still worth the switch to play with ICE in XSI, but the merger was so sad to me, seeing a fantastic competitor to Autodesk go under its wing.
