dracotom Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hello, Is there a way to know where to find specifc meshes in the Skyrim directory like head mesh for Khajiit by exemple? Or maybe it's like the textures, you need to place a specific texture name in a specific directory for change it?? In this case, there is maybe a tool for know what name to use in specific directory?? I hope, i'm enough clear... In advance, thank you.
blabba Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 If you look in Skyrim-meshes.bsa using a BSA unpacker tool the names are all fairly straightforward and should tell you what you need. Khajit Head meshes are located in character/character assets I believe.
myuhinny Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 One good BSA unpacker is found here on LL and is called FOMM (fallout mod manager) it is what I use for extracting files from fallout NV oblivion and skyrim BSA's. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/17895-fomm-custom-build-0141110/
dracotom Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Yes! Thank you, i can see the directory for all the meshs!! One other question, if i want to change theses meshes, if i put an edited mesh in my skyrim directory with the same name and same place, does the changes will be effective like the textures???
gvman3670 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Yes, if you change the meshes you should effectively change them in game. They do need to be named the same as the original, though. And if the mesh is different (enough) you'll need to change textures as well or it'll be a mess.
