tschutschi Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi there First of all I hope this is not against some rules and second I'm wondering if it actually works. As the title says I want your Skyrim as it is, all the mods, your character, ENB, everything. You would archive the whole thing and put it on www.share-online.biz. Since I own Skyrim and all of the DLC's, you obviously wouldn't put these vanilla files into the archive. Of course it should be 100% working/ no CTDs. It should be heavily modded and look fantastic. I don't care if there are any sex mods or not. Great looking character is surely a plus. If the vanilla armors are replaced with mods, that would be great. For your kindness and efforts I would gladly donate a few bucks. If by chance you happened to replace all vanilla armors with some awesome mods, I could spare 50$ for you. Or if you wanted to do it for a thx I don't mind either lol If you are interested, share some screenshots or contact me PS: yeah i'm too lazy to build my own skyrim for the 20th time cheers
Rayblue Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 We can't because doing so by building a compilation would make a lot of mod authors angry. Sorry.
Vivi Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Besides most of our Skyrim folders are above 100gig...
Uno Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 My theory is you're drunk due the recent new year celebration Nah, what Rayblue said.
RitualClarity Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Yea. sort of a grey area. It isn't distribution of someone else's mods yet in some sense it is. Now there are problems with all Skyrim mods eventually. Even if they work now. Updates and deterioration of the mods will eventually make it so you will have problems. There is also the hidden effects that the user of the created files won't see at least right away or ever as they might not play that way. The best is to modify the game yourself. Yes it is work however you will gain the understanding of the process. Good step is to use Gohper's tutorials for MO (and use MO). You will never really have to reinstall the mod and if something goes wrong or you decide isn't right.. just unclick that installed mod no problem. If it has problems with some other mod.. raise or lower it down the list to get it just right. It is the advised mod manager for Skyrim very well supported. Speaking of support. This community is strong with support for ... those that are willing to work and not be lazy seriously there is a MO thread that you can access and get all sorts of good info to set up your game. I have been running on the same install for about 3 months and just delete or add move and arrange whatever I want for the next game I play. No mus and no fuss now that I got a good working understanding. Oh and yes after about 70 hours of play I ran into problems on a perfectly running game... . Took me about an hour to trace that issue down and fix it and then another 15 minutes to clean the saves to make it able to be played on. This is a good start for base Skyrim I use these for the base game.
RitualClarity Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Besides most of our Skyrim folders are above 100gig... Mine is ~ 40 gigs and I am running a lightly modded game currently.. lol.
Skyrimfloo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Most good mod setups are too huge to be properly shared.I'd say take a look at STEP core and also pick an ENB. Ig you got those two sets of mods, you'd have a good start.
DurtyNelly Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Mine is 45GB. And while it doesn't crash now, it's early days in my playthrough and will probably start PMSing later on. lol. But yeah, what everyone else said. I totally get that it's a tedious process and after doing it 20 times or so can be exhausting.
fizzybutt Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 PS: yeah i'm too lazy to build my own skyrim for the 20th time cheers My suggestion is to get MO and quit deleting your Skyrim :3
RitualClarity Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 PS: yeah i'm too lazy to build my own skyrim for the 20th time cheers My suggestion is to get MO and quit deleting your Skyrim :3 Yep Get MO. Start with a basic start like Gophers collection of mods. There are a few choices. then add from there. With MO you can just keep adding and then just click those combinations you want. It might take a bit more to learn but it is well worth it in the long run. Everything is virtual r/t your Skyrim install. No Skyrim files are changed. Nice and safe. I do get it is annoying. I almost decided to stop playing modded game and did so for a few months. I still haven't installed Fallout and it's tools and such yet. Takes too much time to set up etc. I understand. I think we all understand here at LL.
RitualClarity Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Oh sorry for the double post. .. Perhaps ask for MO load order? Then you can see what everybody has installed for their solid game. Then just download and install them one by one in that order. Could save some time and problems.
Rayblue Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Either pick out the modlist inside a MO profile or upload the list to Modwatch.
guk Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Modding the game yourself is more fun than playing it anyway.
gvman3670 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Yup, if you just used Mod Organizer you wouldn't have had to do 20 reinstalls. Just sayin', man. I did a bunch of rebuilds then switched to MO and haven't had to since then. This was several months ago.
