Kendo 2 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Someone recently asked me to reproduce the Dawnguard content I made for myself that doesn't use the esm, only the meshes, textures, hxk's and animations (it's for crossbows). I forgot how I did it so I opened the Dawnguard esm in the CK (yes, I have AlllowMultipleMasters enabled) and I get an error about not being able to read the file C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\TES Shared\misc\BGSLocalizedString.cpp. I look in C:\ and the _Skyrim folder doesn't exist (it never did). So in the CK I click 'Yes to all' to ignore the error and then this error comes up: "MASTERFILE:LOCALIZATION:Zero entries or empty block size read from strings file STRINGS/Dawnguard_ENGLISH.STRINGS.Strings will be missing." Okay, so I extract the English strings for the BSA and reload the CK. I'm getting the same two lines of errors and the esm will not load. Dragonborn won't either but Hearthfire will. My game is legal and all of the DLCs were bought from Steam. I have modded both the Dawnguard and Dragonborn esms before, but now I'm getting this error and I don't know why. Does anyone know what's going on? There is nothing I could find on Google or Yahoo about this. BTW, the esm works fine in game. All the dialogue is there (in English), the vampires spawn, etc. It works, just not with the CK.

Kendo 2 Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 @Sailing Rebel Thanks. I'll check that out.
azmodan22 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 you are missing these in the SkyrimEditor.ini SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, DawnGuard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa
Kendo 2 Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 you are missing these in the SkyrimEditor.ini SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, DawnGuard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa Actually I wasn't. After reading Sailing Rebel's post I checked. They were there so I scratched my head, saved the ini...and Dawnguard loaded the way it use to. Go figure. The only thing I've changed in my system recently was a new video card. I don't have an explanation. At least it's fixed now. \o/
azmodan22 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I have an explanation ... ... .. .. Skyrim :-)
