9tailedfox Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 My skyrim is working better but today it closed on me and said the renderer was not responding and ctd. What is the renderer and how can i stop it from crashing?

Could be due to an update to the graphic driver, errornous hardware (nothing lasts forever) or your installation of windows is about time to be replaced with a new one.
TheHuntress1970 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Yeah, the system32 folder is a Windows folder. Leave it alone. The renderer produces a file that gets placed in your My Games/Skyrim folder. It won't have any error messages but will have some technical data. I've only seen this when the resolution was messed up and I had to fix it in my SkyrimPrefs.ini file. Is it a particular place that it CTDs? Try doing a new game and see if this happens. Do you always get the error about the renderer?
9tailedfox Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 I followed the papyrus log how to and did everything it said but i still cant get that to work thats why i cant show u the log files and it keeps telling me to update my papyrus so ill obey it

Follow the advice from TheHuntress1970 + check your system logs.if you don't know how to access the system logs: ask google. 9tailedfox Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 Well I played in one of my earlier saves before the crash and it hasnt ctd for a good amount of time so Im thinking i was playing on broken saves, which means i have to start all over from my last save.....

Which isn't too bad but i'm sad i have to redo everything to get to my current place. But on the flip-side i get to play again in which i hadn't played for almost 8 months. The surprise freeze and lag is bearable it does have 190 mods so ill bear with it. Thanks for the help everyone who posted on all my topics and ill let u know if i need anymore help
