TES5Edit Question

If this is the wrong spot to ask, someone tell me!

I did ask this on the TES5 forums but my experiences there have not been pleasant.

What does it mean if, after I "clean" a mod with TES5Edit, there IS no change in the mod size, and there are no "dirty" records found by TES5?

Does this mean I didn't, in fact, produce a dirty mod to begin with?

As I mentioned, I asked this question a while ago on their own forums, and the answer was quite rude, but the gist of it was "No one is that good.  Everyone's mods are dirty."

Which of course wasn't an answer to the question, and didn't help.

I almost never use TES5Edit because they are so... let's not say nasty, but yeah... Usually when I clean a mod, I do so via the CK itself, since Bethesda made that possible anyway.  However, a mod-buddy recently suggested I try TES5 again, so I did so.

But, as usual, see above -- there are no changes to the mod size, and no records are ever removed.

So, if anyone's good with TES5, help or advice would be appreciated!

TES5Edit cleaning only detects 2 'issues'.

UDR and ITM edits.

You can read the specifics about them here:

http://www.creationkit.com/TES5Edit_Cleaning_Guide_-_TES5Edit

But yea, very few mods actually benefit from TES5edit cleaning as very few of them actually make these mistakes now that modders on average are aware of them and avoid bad practices within the ck.

The more difficult type of stuff like wild edits etc... are not detectable via an automated process and still need to be looked at manually. Some people like to do this in TES5edit as it keeps a nice tree view and contains many tools and features suited to help make this task easier.

Well since TES5EDIT is a skyrim tool it should of been posted in the skyrim technical support thread. http://www.loverslab.com/forum/39-skyrim-technical-support/Questions pertaining to any game like oblivion skyrim fallout NV/3 have their own areas and own support areas/threads. The general support thread deals with things that are not game related.

If that's the case, could a moderator please move this to the right spot?  If that's possible.
