Onadras Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Hello everyone.I just installed beautiful people with obmm using the all-in-one omod Mbp ++ allin1 omod v2.1beta I had no particular problem with it, except for some custom races that looked kinda crappy (btw, wondering how to remove some of them without issues). However since vanilla races and npc still kept having the original ugly faces, i decided to install oblivion character overhaul. The two mods seemed to work together just fine, until i met the first altmer. The poor critter turned around to greet me and i experienced the creepiest thing ever, it made me close the game and hide in a dark corner for a while. You can see in the attached image how their eyes look. I put extra care making sure that everything was done properly, rebuilt patches with wrye bash, checked load order with boss, made sure that oco is loaded last, invalidated the archive with obmm, etc.Obmm indeed warned me about some conflicts between the two mods concerning eyes textures, asking to overwrite mbp files with some stuff from oco. Whether i accept or not, the results are always the same, altmers, dremoras and some bosmers get messed up eyes, while the other vanilla races seem to be unaffected. Is it possible to fix this problem and make the two mods work together without any other nightmarish sight? Thanks in advance for your kind replies.
visby Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I tried for awhile and never could get that to work so I ended up dropping the mods that required Mbp. Bravil under ground has a version that doesn't require Mbp so you can still run that mod.
kingkong Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 for me remove bashpatch than open tes4edit and fix the conflicts between the mods manually ( it can take time dépends on the number of eye textures conflict) after you rebuild your bashpatch.
nakakita Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 It's the eye mesh. MBP overwrote the vanilla one with an 'elaborate eyes' compatible version which allows heterochromic eyes among other things. Deleting the meshes, or re-routing them to a different folder with the vanilla mesh will fix your googly eye problem. You can create overrides in TES4edit marking races/hair/eyes you either don't want, or that have conflicts not-playable. Or just edit the ESP directly. If you make an override, load it after the bashed patch.
Onadras Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 TES4edit is new to me, i have very little clue about what to do and also i'm not quite sure about what meshes i need to remove. Can you give me further details please?
nakakita Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 The eye meshes you are probably going to want to move to revert the eyes are eyelefthuman and eyerighthuman. Both will be in meshes/characters/imperial. As for TES4edit, it works prettymuch like the skyrim version, which has some video tutorials. I can't really explain what to do very well without pictures, but there's plenty of guides around if you look.
Onadras Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 If i remove those files from meshes/characters/imperial it fixes altmers eyes, however everyone else's eyes get messed up instead. I'll give TES4edit a try but i hoped there was a simpler solution.
astymma Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 What I did was make the MBP eyes named EyeLeftHuman2.nif and EyeRightHuman2.nif. I then extracted the base game eyes back into the directory as the original EyeLeftHuman.nif and EyeRightHuman.nif. Now, whenever you see an NPC with googly eyes, open them in TES4Edit, find their race, and alter their eye entries from EyeLeftHuman.nif to EyeLeftHuman2.nif AND EyeRightHuman.nif to EyeRightHuman2.nif. The problem you'll run into after making THAT fix is that occasionally a race will have some eyes assigned to it using base game eyes and some using MBP eyes. In that case you'll wanna pick which eye style you like and replace the other eye's textures with correct versions that work with your preferred mesh. EDIT: Realized I typed FNVEdit instead of TES4Edit... been modding New Vegas too much lol.
Zor2k13 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 From what I understand, beautiful people mods are a big mess and you have to install them just right or something? Also that mod makes people look kinda anime right? What I like most about oblivion character overhaul is the textures and the faces of the orcs and maybe argonians and kats. Best thing to do is make your own merging of these two mods somehow but actually, the different head shapes nuska came up with are an interesting difference compared to anime face mods maybe just give oco2 a chance to grow on ya for a while? Anime face is not always interesting I think:-)
Onadras Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 As far as i've seen, beautiful people just adds several custom races to the game. Idk if there are anime races in some other BP packs, i didn't see any. I installed it because i thought it would've improved the look of vanilla races and npc. Since this wasn't the case, i decided to install oblivion char overhaul and also keep BP just becase, while many of the custom races are kinda sucky, some of them look very cool.Anyway i finally solved the eyes issue following these steps: - extract eyelefthuman.nif and eyerighthuman.nif from vanilla oblivion.bsa archive- rename them in eyelefthuman2.nif and eyerighthuman2.nif, and place them in meshes/characters/imperial- run construcition set and open oblivion_character_overhaul.esp, setting it as active file- go into the race editing window and select highelf race - select the face data tab and set the eyes meshes as eyelefthuman2.nif and eyerighthuman2.nif - repeat the above step for every other race showing eyes issue- save the changes and make sure that oblivion character overhaul is loaded last in the mod listThanks to everyone for your answers, they helped me finding the right procedure to solve this problem.
vxvtaylorvxv Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Anyway i finally solved the eyes issue following these steps: - extract eyelefthuman.nif and eyerighthuman.nif from vanilla oblivion.bsa archive Is that the same as Imperial lefteyehuman and righteyehuman? Edit: nevermind It was

This did the trick, for the most part for me. A lot of eyes are still weird, though. At least they're not blank anymore, I guess.
Anatriax Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I'm trying to make a patch file to fix this problem, but here is the issue I'm running into:I can get the PC's eyes fixed via changing the .nif in CS to %\meshes\character\imperial\eyelefthuman2.nif The problem with that, is all other imperials in the game have messed up eyes, now. PC is fine, NPC's are borked. Suggestions?
fejeena Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Wrong textures for the eye meshes. You can replace the eye meshes of your Race with the eye meshes all NPCs use. ( and you must also change the textures (dds files) ) You can check with NifSkope the UV map Placement of your eye meshes. in the middle of the texture = vanilla eye meshes/textures left side top or bottom = Ren eyes meshes/textures NifSkope UV map 3 textures examples Ren ,vanilla , and ? ( don't know the Name of the diagonally placed eyes) So you must have the right texture for the eye meshes.
Anatriax Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 LAWL I fixed it without even opening CK or TES4Edit: 1) Install Oblivion Character Overhaul 2) Copy and rename the left and right eye .nifs (not sure if this is what actually fixed it or not) 3) Install Beautiful People 4) Open BOSS, create user datas to load Beautiful People after Bashed Patch 5) Create user data to load OCO after Beautiful People voila! All eyes are fixed
