Looking for a body type with consistent BBP armor support

Hey guys,

 

I've been using CBBE for a long time now, quite happily. However, today it struck me again: you scroll through your list of armors at the forge, pick one that seems nice, craft it, put it on, and...

 

a ) ... it doesn't fit the body shape (i.e. makes your body shape look different than it actually is)

b ) ... has body parts clipping through the armor at several places (really talking about major clipping here, I don't mind minor clips)

c ) ... it doesn't support BBP (it just looks odd to have breasts with the consistency of concrete)

 

I have the TERA armor collection, CT77's vanilla armor replacer and Bodyslide Armor Merge Mod (BAMM) installed. However, except for CT77's glorious work, one of the three options from above happens on a regular basis. And I really don't like that.

 

 

So, I've decided that I want to try a fixed-shape body for a change (i.e. one without bodyslide). The question is: which one? I hope for your expert advise here, since I never used much else than CBBE.

 

Some requirements on my part:

• Works with the default XP32 extended skeleton (no, not all of them do).
• Full (!) vanilla armor replacer, including BBP weights (basically what CT77 did), skimpy version would be nice.
• TERA armor support would also be nice since it's a cool set.

 

I'm interested in the following bodies:

• Touched by Dibella: Love the shape. Anybody knows how good the armor support is? It does come with a vanilla replacer, but is it complete? How about BBP/HDT? That replacer aside, armor support seems to be really poor, which is a shame (also: no TERA armors it seems)...  Also: what about body textures? It uses a different UV layout than UNP or CBBE afaik...

 

• UNPB-O: How well does it work with regular UNP( B ) armors? Do they drastically change the body shape?

 

• Sevenbase: is there another vanilla armor replacer besides this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34160/? (it doesn't look very skimpy to me and it pales in comparison to CT77's)? Also, TERA armor BBP support seems to be spotty at best, is that right?

 

• UN7B: I don't know much about it, except that it comes with its own skeleton (which is a no-go for me). Is that still the case?

 

 

Basically, my goal is simple: I want a sexy-looking female body, and when I'm at the forge, or looting stuff, I do not want to have to think twice if that piece of armor will "work" on the body or not. It's somewhat immersion-breaking.

UNPB seems to have the most T/BBP or HDT support. The good news is that UNPBO and base UNP armors will only change the breast size when you equip them.

 

I use a base UNP TBBP/HDT body for a couple of my MO profiles and often use both UNP and UNPB armors.

Thanks for the pointer, that's good to know. Which vanilla armor replacer would you recommend? Oh and by the way, UNPB-O, UNPB and UNP all share the same UV texture layout, right?

@OldGuy879: Thanks, but as far as vanilla replacers go when it comes to CBBE, I'm perfectly happy with CT77's skimpy armor collection. It's more like the other armors give me trouble, such as the BAMM package or the BBP support of the TERA armors.

 

 

@All: I'm simply going to experiment around a bit, thankfully MO makes this very easy to do. Of course, project CITRUS would make all of this even easier. Sadly, we are not quite there yet...

I am using UNPB (because other than CBBE that's the only body supported by Devious Devices). While this body is fairly popular it's the only one I couldn't find a working vanilla replacer for that I liked. I am a fan of the Remodeled Armor set, but UNPB is the only body without a full conversion of that (someone started it but gave up). Best choice seems to be Killer Keos's set, but like so many replacer sets it's lacking pretty much all clothing sets and features only armour (seems the people making those sets are usually not interested in clothing). On the plus side there is a working TERA set for UNPB, one of them even supporting pregnancy. Also, a plethora of very awesome individual sets (I usually end up wearing one of these anyway).

Yeah, I just stumbled across this thread (http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10341-conversions-for-unpb-with-bbp/) here on LL, it's outright *fantastic*. If all the armors live up to their promises, then I'm going to stick with UNPB until CITRUS has some armor replacers. Its astounding how much better the UNPB conversion thread is organized when compared to the CBBE/Bodyslide one xD

 

Concerning vanilla replacers: I'm using this one (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34160/?). Since it's not very skimpy, I override it with killer keo's (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34100/?). Seems that both are incomplete, my hope is that by combining them I can get at least like 90% coverage. Clothes are of less concern to me, let's be honest - for actual gameplay they are kinda useless xD

 

 

 

Question to everyone here: which bodies are currently compatible with the latest XP32 maximum skeleton? Because, for example, the HDT body is not.

By the way, after a lot of fiddling with the details (like, body texture, normal map and so on) I've switched from HDT body to UNPB-O. I've got to say that everything looks very nice! BBP is present and working in every set I've seen so far, and everything aligns perfectly with the body, which is especially noticeable on underwear and tight armors - just what I wanted

 

As an additional bonus, there is a levelled list plugin for the UNP version of the TERA armor collection, which didn't exist for the CBBE version (afaik), which is awesome for my existing mod setup that deals with loot and item distribution. Also unexpected but very neat: the idle animation (the one done by red which is found here on LL) matches the breast shape almost perfectly.

 

The UNPBO body mesh itself looks good as well. If I had to choose, I'd prefer more like MCBM or TBD because of broader hips and more baloon-y boobs, but this way it has advantages, too. When wearing clothes, the differences between UNPB (for which the armor is made for) and UNPB-O is *barely* noticeable at all, you have to look real close to see it at all.
