KainsChylde Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 When I enter the Vikki and Vance casino in Primm, every NPC and every moveable piece of cutter in the room is sucked into a big pile right next to the door. I cannot escape this pile even with tcl, and can barely move out from the center enough to reach the door. Has anyone else experienced this? Any clue how to fix it? zippy57 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Sounds like the physics engine is just freaking out. Try coc'ing into the cell and using the console to MoveTo while both in the cell and outside it.
Guest Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 It was a "common" bug in FO3, inside a sewer tunnel in DC. You had to COC out because TCL wasn't working. I tried hard to see if there was a solution but I never managed to find it. I even tried to disable every single object (and it was a BIG pile ) but it didnt' change anything. It must be something pretty deep... god, I didn't think it could happen in NV too, first time I've heard of it in Mojave
CoxcombCornking Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I had this issue once, when using a "Realistic Interior Lighting" mod. The one that added wall switches everywhere. Victor's shack became a clingy, rattling nightmare. Disabled mod. Everything back to normal. Believe it or not.

zippy57 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Just open up the console, click something like a wall that isn't part of the black hole that has suddenly been created, and then type player.moveto and the ID clicking the wall brought up at the top of the screen.
KainsChylde Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 Well, I removed a few mods to see if I could find the culprit, and when I loaded the save I'm in the floor up to my chest and can't open my pip-boy. This save is clearly borked, so I've deleted it and started a new character. I'm gonna fast-track to Primm and see if the problem persists. Thank you all for trying to help. I'll report back once I get to Primm and let you all know what happens.

I've tried coc from both inside and outside the building. As for moveto, nothing I click on is acceptable. Console just spits out something along the lines of unacceptable parameter. Guest Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 can you tfc around? what can you see in the rest of the room? EDIT: if you reload and you are on the floor (couple of messages above), your height is zero. That could be a consequence of a custom race, are you using a custom race?
KainsChylde Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Attached is the dogpile from the outside with TFC. Searching the room with free cam, nothing not static is left in the room. All the garbage, all the cups and glasses, random weapons, everything is in the dogpile. I think those things at the foot of the pile are the speakers from the walls.

I was able to finally enter V&V with all NPCs wandering about as they should... but oh my god I've gotta share this. That's every clutter item (including the wall speakers) still in a pile in front of the door. I laughed so hard at that I almost choked. Now to start re-checking mods one at a time until I find the culprit. This is gonna take a while.

The culprit was this bad boy right here: MojaveReborn.esp That is a merged mod I made of several location overhauls. There are 3 "reborn" mods on nexus; Goodsprings, Primm, and Novac. I merged the three of them together with another plugin that cleans up the Mojave Outpost and the road leading up to it. Either one of those had an issue I never noticed or I screwed up the merge.
Guest Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 it is somewhat charming, that "dogpile" I asked about tfc because I didn't understand in the description what was happening, but I supposed creatures and miscs were spawned in the same location. nice to know it was your merge, because probably in my FO3 the cause was the same, I was playing with a merged patch of all the mods and surely I screwed something... And, speaking of what... even if OT... check on FO3 nexus, home page, Fallout Zero... now that seems really interesting
galgat Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 The navMesh being deleted sounds pretty logical, but it could also be that someone changed the navmesh, and did not finalize it. I would go for mod cleaning with FNVEdit, and maybe some load order changes. Pretty funny I guess if it is not happening to YOu! I hope I never run into that problem. I try never to merge anything, but if I did I think I would make really sure they were clean mods.
