The most ridiculous way to make Skyrim unstable

My personal recipe:

1) Install a lot of fancy hairstyles, eyes, scars, tats - everything you can find.

2) Install RaceMenu Precache Killer and forget about it (for more frustration)

3) Enjoy the brand new CTD-land on your PC!

One SKSE plugin. ONE LITTLE FILE. My ol' good graphic card was like "I'm tired of this hi-rez bullshit, man. You should play vanilla Skyrim"

That was terribly stupid. I blame the education system.

Share your stories, please. I'm not the one and only dumbass in the universe, right? Right?! :s

P.S. Sorry, my English is bad.

Install a lot of script intensive PIs. E.g. build a house, but just not the basic one, but one that has been heavily pimped, maybe even in beta version. Additionally get yourself a highly demanding new quest with lots of story threads that run in the background simultaneously.

Get yourself lots and lots of new NPCs. Make most of them your followers.

Enjoy Skyrim freezing and crashing ever so frequently! :D

Install script-heavy mods...and then forget they are script-heavy and uninstall them by just deactivating them. :D Scream when the game works for ages, and breaks just before the final quests to become the Guildmaster of the Thieve's Guild. Be stuck in the city area of Riften, but able to leave the city or enter interiors without a CTD. Your character now must live on the streets, and never leave them. (RIP, Sparrow. :( She who as almost Guildmaster...)

Also, don't pay attention when starting a new profile in Mod Organiser, miss the part where hasn't carried the DLC files over for some reason, apply all of the patches (for the files you DON'T have in the load now) and then try to play. That stops you pretty quick.

The reset world console command. It sets Skyrim to a sandbox world, where Helgen is intact, it's pre-intro with no main quest or start-game events happening and there'll be no dragons.

half your load order is followers and armors for all the different body types. i had 9 different body types and 56 different followers (when i say 56 followers i mean the amount of esps. some were follower pack. the most having 15 followers in a pack.) and 52 different armors. all with 8k face textures. the other half of my load order is the usual heavy scripted sexlab and norrmal non xxx quests along with little fixes here and there. had all my followers in one building/cell. welcome to the 15-30min loading time for that cell.  all being rendered with a heavily modified enb preset. that was showing .02 fps. i don't crash anymore thank god lol. but makes me think i bricked my desktop lol.

Easiest way is fuck up your skyrim.ini settings. :P no mods involved. Just vanilla play through :D

2) Install RaceMenu Precache Killer and forget about it (for more frustration)

Newest Racemenu don't need the precache killer it was already integrated :P So that is why your game was crashing

1.  Install STEP

2.  Add at least a 100 other mods that look exciting, some of which do the same thing but with different colours

3. Populate the world with lots of respawning bandits, monsters, and NPCs that don't do anything but clutter up inns, basically the population of China in an area the size of a farmer's field

4. Spend an evening drinking alcohol until you lose your inhibitions about uninstalling mods you don't like anymore, just as your save is going places.

5. Try to enjoy the stuttery, freezy, glitchy ctd nightmare, marvel as npcs moonwalk everywhere, gasp as you get 50 fps in one direction and 10 in the other

6. Abandon game and start anew, making vows to not do 'that' again

7. "oh that looks cool, let's download it"...you start doing 'that' again

8. repeat to fade

Put boots/shoes on that need HDT but forget to install had while back few those frustrations and pull my hair out why u crashed lol.

Ones we where all newbees but trial and error eventually prefent all this frustration(or forever nub :P )

Also had ones installed maybe 60 followers scattered all of skyrim and every time i came near some of them i crashed took me few days to figure it out some follower mods just don't work with others and to many also CTD(this was all before shesons memory patch) could work now but dunno never tried it again.

If you watch tutorials and read readme's or listend to advice of experts it's not that hard to mod your game.

But Skyrim is badly programmed so no matter what you will always have at some point problems eventually and it's not your fault just bethesdas crappy programmers fault.

It's probably a bit of both ED. I doubt many of us can honestly say we haven't pushed things beyond breaking point or done something daft, often repeatedly.  I've lost count of the number of times I've said "oh that's never happened in my game" in a superior tone, then it at some future point it happens.

But yeah, if Skyrim was locked in a room all on it's own it  would still manage to start a fight with itself. My first ever game crashed when Alduin turned up.

Oh. Now I feel myself even more stupid.

When I played Morrowind with mods, everything was so simple...

I does prevent the immediate nervous breakdown, but those sliders don't exactly slide any more, and if you try to shuffle through styles too quickly, all you'll see is your desktop. Precache killer or no, lots of those hairstyle choices makes chargen unstable.

It gets real frustrating when you're slowly crawling across the slider for the perfect hairstyle you found just before last time it crashed.

I probably have one of the more crappy computers here (seriously) and with racemenu I'm running almost 700 hairs...

What? ... I like variety  Damn sg, ks and apachii (only running apachii because of the npc overhaul now).

I have learned however to take my time when going through all my hairs and overlays. I've optimized just about everything I can without running the risk of muddying it up too much; I live with the freezes  >.<

It's when I try to put in interesting npc's, 3dNPC's and immersive patrols (with dual sheath and enhanced blood) that I go boom. I can't do it, at all

Let's see. My recipe? Loads upon loads of script-intensive mods, alphas, betas, and 10+ versions of the same mods all together in different bashed files that you forget about. Re-naming and backing up the wrong files and destroying the entire loadout. A graphically intensive ENB that takes everything out on my system as well as 4K textures, not to mention all of my usual re-textures that are also HD.

Load Skyrim.esm after dlc. Not sure if it's possible, but it's a guarantee ctd. ;)

Pinup Poser tends to "rekt" my games. It makes my save files impossible to directly load.
