How to Dragonporn

So, does the Dragonporn site actually provide any downloads, or is it just a showcase where links to mods can be found? Someone pointed me to DP in the place of Nexus for finding mods, and every mod I've tried on the site just gives me a link to the Nexus, which I cannot use.
So, is it just a blog to post cool stuff, or are there actually downloads?

It's just a blog. The problem is most of the available mods are on Nexus.

So I've noticed. Oh well. A friend is willing to download the mod I want and send me the files.
Now if only Nexus would grow the hell up and unban me... Oh, who I am kidding, that'll never happen.

Edit - Or not, the file I wanted is 88mb.

So! Any recommendations for a good skyrim mod site? LL is nice and all, but I find it... Lacking in decent looking armors that aren't ridiculously skimpy.

What you could do if you have a friend willing to do this, is to create a 'private passworded' account you share with them on one of the file sharing sites like Mediafire and have them upload there.

 

You should be really nice to the friend willing to do this for you.

Oh, I am. We've known each other for years, and I told him not to worry about it. Found some obscure mod site with an armor that more or less suited my needs for the time being.

So do you now what happened to the files links at DragonPorn?  They had their own service at one time.

If they banned you you obviously broke a rule there. The only other advice is try and use something like proxie to bypass the bann and don't break any more rules. And download stuff and stay away from commenting on mods or insulting users that is sure way to get you banned again.

 

They never ban you if all you do is download stuff. So what was the reason they banned you in the first place ??

I think those were from a Japanese modding site and Dragonporn was asked to remove the links. Kind of like how Nexus had to remove any japanese mods they had.

Or you could just reset your ip. Instant ban lift! Unless they're using mac addresses now.

I won't lie, I said some stuff I shouldn't have and deserved punishment, but an instant and complete ban for a few rude comments was a bit overkill.
But I'm not here to whine about that. Done with Nexus anyway.
