TL:DR Getting started...

Ok,

I'm sure I'm breaking a rule or a general guideline regarding asking for assistance or information about installing all that is needed for the Sexlab Framework. However, after reading innumerable thread regarding the downloading and installing of, in my humble opinion, WAY to many plugins. It becomes increasingly difficult for people like me with Attention deficient issues to get anything done.

So to get to the point... Does anyone have a shortened version of these help threads? What would be even better would be an all in one installer... but I guess that would be to easy HAHA.

If you can help let me know!

Someone needs to make a simple " Click here " To download all required files and recommended plugins button. Even your thread is hard to keep straight since the threads go to sites that are hard to read LOL.

The reason that doesn't happen is because:

- Plugins and the framework are continually being updated at different rates

- Not everyone uses/wants the same plugins

- Some plugins are mutually exclusive to others

- All in one compilations never have support for issues you may experience, while taking plugins individually you can ask about your issues on their respective threads

Sexlab may seem daunting to a beginner but it's very simple when you get started. All it takes is to install the framework and it's dependencies, pick and install the plugins to cater to your own perversions (every mod here clearly states in the first post what it needs to run), update FNIS, run LOOT, play game.

The reason SexLab mods come in so many discrete packages is twofold:

1. They are all separate projects handled by different people and coordinating them into one big package would be a logistical nightmare - as in, someone would have to keep track of it all on a daily basis, and the mod would have to be updated at least weekly. Add to that the fact that sometimes a new version of someone's mod will require a clean save to update properly, and on the user end this means you'd keep downloading this big package and starting a new game with it. Of course, every modder would also have to agree to having his content redistributed like that, which admittedly isn't much of the problem on this site, but will be a problem with some of SL's prerequisites which are handled through external sites (where by "external sites" I mean "Nexus", a community which doesn't like us very much).

2. People tend to be very particular about their smut. Some won't touch bestiality content, some find no joy in using Devious Devices, so on and so forth. For most of us, having this content delivered into tiny neat packages is actually a blessing, because we can install just the parts we care about using for the perfect individual SL experience.

As you can see, what you want isn't really viable. But take heart, friend, for the whole process only looks complicated. In a few days, you'll be juggling mods like a pro ;)

Also, before you start, let me tell you the wise mantra you'll hear many times if you choose to stick around: Use Mod Organizer, it will make your life so much simpler.

To be honest if you can't be bothered to read the various threads about the mods then its pretty much a certainity that either it won't work as you'll do something wrong or you have something that isn't compatible.

So to save what maybe a couple of hours to then spend weeks of constant crash to desk tops really doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

You don't need to read the while thread for a mod, you should however pay careful attention to the Original Post. That post will be updated with the current version of the mod and contain the most critical information you should know about that mod. You should then also read the last few pages of comments on the thread so you'll be aware of the current issues with the mod and can plan in advance on you you will avoid them.

MO isn't the "be all, end all" program that some people may advocate it to be. It's very good but it is not a necessity, and I'd argue it would not make a beginners life simpler :P

I respectfully disagree ;) I can't count the times MO saved me from having to nuke my whole install and start anew. I firmly believe it's worth these couple extra hours it takes to get how it works.
