[WIP] Monster Hunter Tri Weapons Mod

-What is in my mod?-

Currently I have added every weapon from MHT(except lances which I will not add) and made crafting trees that emulate those in MH itself. This adds a lot of unnecessary clutter so I have also made a Lorecraft edition and Guilmonex made an edited down version with no trees to reduce clutter. To get Wyvern Shards you need to kill a dragon. Combine 2 shards in the forge under miscellaneous to get a Wyvern Gem. I was planning on doing armor then monsters after the weapons but Coda has beat me to that.

This is the first mod I have ever made for a game It only contains 2 weapons(Note: Now contains more Weapons-See Updates): Bone Switch Axe(I loved the switch axes from tri) and the Jaggi Sword(It is a dagger weapon type but uses sword animation) ported from MHT.I thought it would be awesome to have some MH weapons in Skyrim so here they are. I literally just got a 3D editing program a few days ago so all of this was all new to me and pretty hard. My buddy EdgeBade(he now made a mod as well go check it out) helped me test the weapons and helped with using the creation kit. They don't look amazing in 1st person but then again they don't need to, they are for fun and awesomeness(Yes AWESOMENESS!) They are currently accessible in Dragonsreach(Note: Now only the original 2 weapons are in Dragonsreach found in a chest directly right of the entrance). You can craft and upgrade them as well. To upgrade a weapon you need to go to Eorland and buy a whetstone from him.
I will be bringing more weapons into the game later probably starting with the SAxes and either sns(will be doing swords only)(Note: Obviously untrue as I am doing shields now xD) or Long sword.

Updates 1-18.9



Update1:

My mod now contains a Alatreon SAxe. There are 2 models Sword and Axe form. They are craftable and upgradable. The sword mode is slightly slower but does more damage and has an "elemental phial" enchantment while the Axe uses a "Dragon Element" enchantment. It also now has a "Sword" version of the Bone Switch axe which Guilmonex made along with him helping me clean up and make the alatreon sword mode look better.

Update2(.1):


I have now added the "Crystal" SAxe one of my favorite SAxe's. They both have Dragon Element enchantments. It also contains a small update to the Alatreon saxe sword form and fixed tempering recipes(Thanks to Guilmonex).

Edit:
It now includes a "closer to real thing" sword form thanks to Guilmonex.

Update3:


My mod now contains the Barioth SAxe. Both forms have an "Ice Element" enchantment(sword having a stronger one but less charge and axe having a weaker one with more charge like always). It is another of my favorites looks wise from MHT(though the low sharpness always annoyed me). It also now has a chest with all the weapons in it and they are no longer scattered around the floor(Note this causes any weapons you previously had to be duplicated).

Update4(.1):


I have now added the High Bolt Axe in my mod. They have a Thunder Element enchantment and the Sword form has Element Phial making it just a stronger enchantment.

.1: It now contains the adjusted versions of certain weapons that are closer to the real weapons on MH(Thanks to Guilmonex)

Update5(.1):


I have now added the regular Bolt Axe and changed the recipe for the High Bolt Axe to include it(More of an upgrade) Though I havent adjusted the damage to match or removed it from the box it was done mostly as a start for when I start to do those things.

Update6(.1):


I have now put in both Inceadeus and Demonbind and that leaves me with 2 SAxes left(Excluding Sinister Saints which I'm not sure if I will do or not). They both have Ice element enchantments because there isn't really a water element in Skyrim and ice was the closest I closest I could think of.

Update7:


My mod now contains the Agnaktor branch and the Barroth branch SAxes. I also have redone some of the recipes and enchantments(Bone SAxe now has a true PowerPhial enchant that increases 2Handed though it isn't visible trust me it does). I have also gave dragons a part of a "Dragon Gem" in which you must collect 2 from killing a dragon and forge them into one and that is used to upgrade a Saxe from one tier to the next. I am still in the process of fixing all of the recipes so I will still be allowing access for all of the weapons in the dragons reach chest but expect that to change soon with it only containing just the Bone forms.

Update8:


I have now added all of The_Only_Janitor's Great Swords(With his permission) to my mod so delete his esp if you have it. All I have done so far is add tempering recipes but plan to do more(Their normal maps don't seem to look very good and I will remake them for example). I removed all of the SAxes that I have essentially finished from the chest (So what is in there are the Crystal SAxes, The Bari SAxes, and the Bone SAxes though those two will always be in there). Finally I also have added the "Sinister Saints" SAxe though it isn't in the chest and needs to be forged.

Update9:


I have made some changes to the weapon damages to make them better reflect their ranks from MH to skyrim and have also edited some of their enchantments. Along with that I have finished up the alatreon path and barioth path leaving just the Crystal path to finish up. I have also renamed the "Dragon Gem" to "Wyvern Stone" to avoid confusion with a "Deadly Dragons" mod item of a similar name(Thanks to Valkyre for telling me about that mod and I encourage everyone to try it out if they haven't)



Update10:


The Pirate J SAxe is now added! For all of the American MH players who never got to use it (me included) now you get to! I didn't have time(well when I took the screens though I do now) to get better screen shots of them so here they are.
Note: I didn't add the Crystal SAxe or change any damage to current weapons just added one.

Update11:


I've finished all of the SAxe's that I wanted to do so now all that remains in the Dragons reach chest is the Jaggi Dagger and the Bone SAxe forms. I also Renamed all of the weapons to their true names (i.e. Demonbond Switch Axe is now just called Demonbind). I also have "fixed" the Ravager GS by pulling out the "claws". I also re did it's textures and doubled its size(I plan on doing this to all GS's by tomorrow so you can expect non laughable GS sizes in my next update)

Update12:


I've doubled the size of all of the MH Great swords so they look like how they should now (Ridiculously huge and awesome just like in MH). If I missed/Double doubled one please let me know though I think I did them all correctly. I also added some transparency to the GS that needed it and redid the normals and textures on 2 of the GS(Epitaph and Rusted). I plan on redoing all of the normals to include a specular so they aren't all shiny.



Update13:


Redid the GS textures and all their normals to include a specular map so they are no longer all "shiny". I also added the red color to the djho GS and red to vulcanis and added some transparency to a few other weapons that needed it.



Update14


Ive added the Icicle spike short sword. I also moved the Jaggi sword to Studded and all of the short swords will be put there as to keep each weapon type in a separate category from each other.

Update14.1


I have added the Hunter Knife and Assassins Dagger along with the Hydra knife(Though it has some shadow artifacts being created due to its hilt so I plan on editing its mesh to remove them in the next update so just live with it for now)

Update14.2:


I have added 4 shortswords and fixed the Jaggi one so that the bottom frills no longer spas with shadows. The swords I added were:
Azi Dahaka, Bone Tomahawk, Bone Kris, and the Ludroth Nail. Please note they all have different recipes but all do the same attack for now though that will change in the future just keep that in mind when forging.

Update14.3.1 aka Special Update because someone asked


I have added the "Dancing Hellfire" (currently craftable under Daedric but that is subject to change) Longsword It comes in 2 forms:
Two Handed and One handed
I would like feedback on which form is best for the LS so I know
what to do all of the next ones after I finish the shortswords.

Also contains an edited Alatreon SAxe with better UV mapping(Courtesy of Guilmonex)

Update14.6


I have finished adding all of the SNS Sword models so what was added was:
Eternal Strife, High Lagia Sword, Divine Exodus, Rusted Sword, ROyal Claw, Hypnos Knife, and Alatreon Sword.

My next update will change the damage and recipes of each weapon and will emulate the true upgrade paths from MH.

Update15


I have added most of the Short Sword Paths. All that is left is the bone path and crystal path.(click here for what are in those paths) additionally I still need to add enchantments on all of the Short Swords that need them and drop each of their damages by 2 points for better balancing.

I have started work on importing the LS's(I guess I technically started when I did hellfire but that was a request). I added 2 in this update:
Wyvern Blade and Reaver
Along with that I changed the LS's crafting section under Iron.

I have added 5 LS's:

I have made no progress on continuing the Short Sword paths though I did fix a few minor bugs(Thanks Damoriva)
I have added 2 more long swords:
Tessaiga(My new favorite LS <3) and Lightning Works

*Please note: I know Tessaiga is big(I scaled the hitbox so its as long as the sword as well) and I know it will clip I know that and I wouldn't have it any other way

Update15.3


I have added the "Crystal" path of short swords and given elements to all the weapons that I have finished paths for and needed them. I haven't dropped their damage down 1 or 2 yet so expect that in this next update.
I also dropped the size of Tessaiga to a more "true to MH" size and added Tenebra.

Update15.4


I've added the bone path for the short swords and added the enchantments along with that to finish them all off. I also dropped all of their attack damage by 2 so the scale will remain the same and the strongest one isn't as strong(Though it is still OP).
I still have a little work to do on the crafting recipes and any suggestions on those would be liked.

I have also replaced the current Alatreon Short sword mesh with Guilmonex's "attack" form mesh.



Update16


I have now begun work on adding in the Hammers and will also start adding the LS paths/enchantments. Currently I have only added 3 Hammers craftable under Steel:
Iron Hammer, Iron Striker, and War Hammer.
*Please note the MH handle positions do not match positions in game at all and thus handle editing will be needed to get them to fit correctly. I have edited the Iron Hammers handle to fit but I don't know if you would like that so I stopped. Also having to edit the handles will cause them to come out slower again so don't expect 3 a day updates.

Update16.1


I only had time to add the Hammer's today (and I fixed up the bludgeons handle so it fits pretty well though while natural standing the hand isn't holding the bottom handle well).
I was planning on adding the LS paths and elements today but I don't have time to do it so that will be for tomorrow.

Update16.2


I have added 3 new hammers:
Vortex, Numbingbird, and Red Bludgeon. I have also decreased all the GS's a little bit and repositioned the Chak Chak to be held in the middle. Ive also started the base of all the LS paths but haven't changed anything so there are all the weapons there they just don't have any stat changes and their recipes aren't corrected.

I have started adding shields. All I have done so far is add the hunter shield. It has a glitched polygon that I need to fix and no handle that I will also be fixing later on. Over the weekend I will start the Hammer paths and fix the shield bugs(take the handle from another shield). I may also start fixing the norm bug found on some weapons

Update17.1


First off it seems that last shield was actually the lance shield my bad so that will be renamed next update. This update I have added the Knight Lance shield(don't like how it looks though)
I tried to match shield position with that of MH's for both shields but it causes a slight bug when drawing and sheathing them so I might put them back to the center.

Update17.7


I have added 3 shields: Sharq Attaq, Baltzenger, and Azure Crest. I have also added the last GS that was missed the Japanese only "True Cutter Sword". There was also some changes to the short swords making the ones that are maces maces and axes axes(excluding lagiacrus axe/sword). I have made no progress on the Hammers but will do those tomorrow as I probably won't be starting the next shield set yet.

I have fixed all of the weapons that were effected by the bug that made the normals not work. I have also added real recipes to the hammers fixed their damage and enchantments and am now done with them.

I also have given glow to the Ceadues weapons and have created a script heavily based on the transmute spell which allows for the switching of one form of a switch axe to another. See my image on front page. There shouldn't be any bugs with it but if there is let me know and I will try to fix them.

Update18.8.1


I have fixed the switch axe transformation script allowing you to switch from one form to another. Just be sure to remove any sword forms you may have before casting.

I have added the final SNS Shield(Devine Exodus) which marks the point of me adding every weapon I originally wanted to add (w00t). I've also corrected the color of the babel spear and added red to the elder babel spear. I have also changed the armor rating of all lances to be balanced/correct and gave the ones that needed them enchantments.ENCHANTMENT!. In my next update I will finish them up with their recipes and hopefully start the SNS Shield paths.

I have added recipes to all of the Lance shields and added the "attack' form of the Alatreon shield. All that is lift are the SNS Shield recipes and to redo the SAxe recipes.

I am now starting the final stages of my mod and I would like to thank everyone who has downloaded it again :).

I think I have fixed the weird shading on the jaggi short sword(finally). I have fixed a few recipe problems and added recipes and correct damages to all of the SNS Shields. All that is to apply to them correct enchantments and I will be basically done with the mod.

I have fixed a minor bug around the eternal strife/hate shield. (thanks to saviorx32s for pointing it out)



 


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:


Sword and Shield swords(1h) are craftable under Studded
Sword and Shield shields(Lte) are craftable under Hide
Long Swords(2h) are craftable under Iron
Hammers(2h) are craftable under Steel
Switch Axes(2h) are craftable under Daedric
Lance Shields(Hvy) are craftable under Leather
Great Swords(2h) are craftable under Dragon

I have created a "simple" script that basically trades all of the current switch axes in your inventory for their other form. It works by sending your current SAxes into a hidden container and sending the alt form back to you(this causes a problem if you start with a sword and try to change that into axe as there is no axe in the container at start(see bold). There is no animation and it removes the Switch axe if you have one equipped. Now keeps your upgrades! But before you use it sell/get rid of any current sword forms you may have. It could cause conflicts and give you one sword over another making you lose your upgrades.

Lorecraft Edition


All of the original weapons and paths here and they can be toggled on/off via books located right next to the Skyforge(see picture). For this edition to work you need the Lorecraft.esm and bsa files downloadable HERE. After that you need to deactivate/delete the current switchaxe esp you have and replace it with this ones.

New "Lite" ESP edited by Guilmonex

For those of you that don't like having all of the paths and clutter caused by the raw(original) mod here is now a "lite" version that only has 1 of each weapon.

Yes!! More Switch Axes!! I want all of them!! XD

 

Can you also make the sword mod of the switch axes? :P

 

Do you have a specific switch axe in mind? I don't have time to do all of them fast but if you could limit it down to 2 or 3 ill try to get them in.

If by the sword mod you mean the one that put all of them craftable and upgradable along their real MH paths? Then yes I do plan on implementing something like that once I get enough of them working to do it.

I like the Alatreon Axe the most.

 

Instead of the upgrade path' date=' the sword mod I mean is the sword form of switch axe. I think it is no easy way to make axe and sword interchangeable, so just make separate model.

The Alatreon Axe form is perfect but swordform from your picture looks strange.

 

It should be like this, and the blade part extend like the pic below.

 

The sword part somehow transformed when its in sword form. That a "hole" between the blade and axe part, Can you enlarge or move the tail part of the blade to "cover" it? I hope you can notice the difference I said. :)

 

I really want to do that myself but I only got nifskope, can't do anything further on the meshes

SwitchAxe is my favorite weapon, so I watch them in detail and notice those little things. :D

 

Alatreon axe is the most tricky one, once you finish it, the other should be a lot easier. :)

 

One last thing, see my screenshots. The purple part of the edge, it push out the sliver part.

SwitchAxe is my favorite weapon' date=' so I watch them in detail and notice those little things. :D

 

Alatreon axe is the most tricky one, once you finish it, the other should be a lot easier. :)

 

One last thing, see my screenshots. The purple part of the edge, it push out the sliver part.

Uh you mean something like this?

 

 

And I realized that so I reupdated it by adding your mesh but I recreated the stats and recipes though because I didnt realize you added those in.

Almost there! the top part can be twice longer and push out the lower part also. :)

 

 

Don't work? strange' date=' I tested that myself and is working fine.

 

For the recipes, I just added the forge recipe of boneSword, and changed the tempering recipes to working ones. In the tempering recipes, the "has perk Arcane smithing" should be the second condition, if it goes on top of the "isenchanted" the weapon can't be tempered at all.

 

 

 

I'm so excited to get this mod runing in my Skyrim, can't wait for the final version! :D

Here is a screen cap of the axe tell me if it looks good or if it needs a little more changeing and thanks for the tip about the order of the 2 conditions I dont know how that happened but ill be sure to fix it for later ones! :D

I think that's good enough! Just need some adjustment on its UV.

 

Oh' date=' I find something new from the mesh. There are two hidden purple parts in there. Can you make them show up "properly"? or at least make the "eye" part appear.

 

 

 

 

Okay I pulled out those parts that you found and heres what it looks like in-game tell me what you think before I update the mod. I dont really know if I like them or not but the part that you circled does look good

Are those purple parts glow when it is in dark place?

 

 

The crystal axe is also good!

Can you separate the sword, axe and handle into individual parts? cuz I want to adjust them.:)

 

 

Ps. Hate to give you more work, but umm...just want it better and closer to the original form.

The red area: scale the edge tip a bit larger and the other one straighter like its sheathed form.

The pink and green area: the extend direction of the edge can be a little upper.
