Zquad1 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Hey everyone I have an issue that should be easily fixable but for some reason the solutions has totally evaded me... How do I make White colors on armor to not be soooo bright?? I have messed with the Emissive color, Emissive Multiple, Glossiness, Specular Color, Specular Strength, & Lighting Effect 1 & 2 in Nifscope to no avail Please can anyone tell me the trick to tone down the brightness of white on armors?
darkconsole Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 yeah, i haven't quite figured out the trick to this either. i usually end up making it a shade of grey instead of white.
Zquad1 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 WOW!!! thanks to BOTH of you guys that did the trick I changed the Texture color of white to an off white, & for the ENB I turned off the Lens effect which was giving me a nasty flair effect causing not only the white to be bright but made it even more brighter. You guys ROCK!!!
myuhinny Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 You can also throw the .dds file into something like gimp with .dds plugin so it will read .dds files and use the brightness/contrast and change the brightness of the texture file. All you have to do is adjust it then overwrite .dds file leave gimp open and go into game look at how the outfit looks if it is still to bright go back out and use the undo option then overwrite .dds file and repeat at a different setting till you get it to where you want it. Then you can close gimp if you close it before and it needs more work you will have to get another copy of the file to overwrite the bad one.
Zquad1 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 @ myuhinny........You know that's....EXACTLY!!! what I did.
