Ob is eternal but...

Just seeing what happens at shitri...,meh , whada' hell, for the first time I won't curse it, skyrim* section bugs me. What's the fuss about it? And judging that Ob section is hollow...And modders are only concerned about moding skyrim, and what happened at Ob mod section, leaves me thoughts about that it's not worth to post stuff for Ob, because less people gonna care.

That was to be expected, at least Skyrim has partially implemented obse so maybe it will crash less often. Skyrim is like big patch for OB then why not use it?

I think Oblivion still have faithful players. I left Skyrim for now and back to translating Oblivion mods.

For example Margarete Lena V3.

Later gonna check Moderteam nad 3DM if there are any new cool mods for OB

Well I'm sure I will get Skyrim, eventually, but from my quick sampling of it, I'm not terribly impressed with it atm...

While they may have fixed some of the flaws of Oblivion they've introduced a lot of new ones as well, such as unimesh armours, no custom spells and a terrible, terrible interface.

It's not a patch for Ob, they have nothing in common. Eevery jewthesda game is different, even if it's a sequel. I don't care much about that. But there's even more strange things, people get exited about things that are not in there, like "npc were sitting on a rock clothless near a river", everyone went nuts like wooooo, hhhhssshhhaaa they undress themselfs, it's teh epic scripts!! And in "reality" they were just sitting motionless doing nothing for eternity, no scripts, just nothing. Dunno what happened with everyone, or I'm just watching everything with other eyes, or I'm a lamb who became a goat and went other way.

And the game isn't even fun to play, yes they have new landscapes, but they are odd and 50% of them are mountains. Other stuff is boredom, and it's pretty much console game. I'm not saying that everyone shouldn't play it, but seeing that people say that skyrim is somesort only worthy game in elder scrolls, and that we should forget about Ob and fallout...makes me sour.

Well it's still kinda new and the CS came not long time ago, so many could start to make their mods now.

But I agree - Skyrim isn't that good as everyone talks about it and only good graphics can't make a game good if there're other things, which turns Skyrim down.

Some already came back to do stuff for Oblivion and I think, that more will come back, when the overhyped time for Skyrim is over.

I don't have the time and knowledge to make myself some serious mods but I still try to give a helping hand for planed Oblivion mods, which I like. Oblivion is still better then Skyrim! *hides himself*

And what flaws it has? Quick toggle spells? Spell creation? Only thing skyrim has is new sparkly art, their dual wield thing needs more work, and acess to spells and other stuff is just rediculous. I think I understand now, people always go for new stuff, even if its worse in some sort.

So, in other words - people are forbidden from enjoying and being impressed by skyrim because you are not? ...Makes sense.

As a side not, I've yet to see a single person that've said that we should "forget about Fallout and Oblivion". Skyrim is new, and has a lot of features and possibilities that these titles did not have, naturally people will want to check it out.

At any rate, Taking the bathing as an example, it is something that proves that the default skyrim includes support for scripts that will allow NPCs to undress/redress, meaning - as some people have already said - less crashes and more stable gameplay when the mods start rolling in.

Also, if all the moders would've just kept moding for oblivion, waiting for Skyrim to "become interesting", then who would mod skyrim?

*I'm not saying that everyone shouldn't play it*, you missed a line, and look more carefully, I'm sure you will find that people only worship skyrim. And there's a note of agression in your words. None of my words said something bad about people, I only said things about a game in delicate manner, you want to brawl about a game, not with me, and it proves that you worship it too, plus I even said good parts about it. And fuss about naked bathing npc,- none of those words offend forums users, just explained how it was. *If you can't weight things correctly, don't speak then.*

There is a clear line that you say that "I'm stupid" - "...Makes sense."

Don't get butthurt It's only a game, and I'm just asking why people act in a certain way.

Brawl over words? Hardly. You questioned why people are hyped over skyrim, along with a few reason directly conencted to your own personal preferences, and I gave an answer to that.

"And the game isn't even fun to play, yes they have new landscapes, but they are odd and 50% of them are mountains. Other stuff is boredom, and it's pretty much console game."

This is excluesively connected to your own personal preference, as is not quite what I would call "Delicate" and is hardly what I would call a valid reason to trash a game. Yes, you can say "I do not like this game" there is nothing stopping you from doing that, but I take a lot of offense when you trash a game by roughly saying "This is a bad game, because I say so."

Interface of skyrim, if you don't see it, is 100% concole thing. It's not my personal opinion, it doesn't go well with mouse and keyboard, and they showed first look of the game on a console, jam shows console too. And as I said before, if you are butthurt about your beloved game, just go other way. And if you don't brawl, why you respond then? Gonna pick my every word and repaste it to say that you don't brawl again? Start with an alphabet. I'll wait.

I really do not think the interface is that much different than oblivion, unless you're running the release version of Skyrim. The problems that resided around the inability to use the mouse and keyboard was adressed in the first patch, that came out some week after the release date.

As it is a game that I do indeed think is great, I won't trash it with invalid arguements, and no, I'm not butthurt - as you're hardly making a point.

If my game disc wasn't killed i would have still done new stuf for oblivion. Skyrim tools only came out a few days ago the first real mods will start coming out about next week. So only time will tell what new stuff we will be getting.

As for oblivion itself hard to tell. If new modders start releasing new major things for it it could pick up pretty again. I am not sure how far that Russian Ovehall is but if that got released maybe it could bring new stuff out.

I think there's a number of japanese moders still working with oblivion as well. Once people have had the actual chance to try out modding for Skyrim some of them might get back to oblivion as well.

As oblivion offers a more colourful "atmosphere" than Skyrim.
