uglykidcid Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 I love the video A.J. I use scoped bows as well. I did or installed something that prevents me from aerial combat in 3rd person. I can't figure it out for the life of me. It used to work fine.
Guest Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 My problem with HDT things is once I try them I can't go back, so now I couldn't play anymore without a moving tail For combat, I have a similar issue too, but I suspect it's caused by excessive slowdowns. In some places it works a bit better, but in other places like around Riften it refuses to attack. I think it's connected to the animations, the fact that flying makes me continuously render the zone and often it stuck me in T position (as stated in flying mod page). It started mainly after I installed Equipment overhaul, the "outfit weapons" sometimes go crazy, they equip/unequip, I sometimes attack with sword animation with an invisible sword etc. my script lag is big big big. Overall, for me flying isn't really playable because I hate the fact I don't collide and the Beta Collision doesn't work properly for me, but it's definetely too charming. A wonderful alternative would be, instead of flying, simply glide: you jump down from a mountain, you keep pressed space and it spreads wings and starts gliding like a hand glider. Same for jump standing: higher jump and at top position it spreads the wings so it falls down slower. Not sure if it's possible. For now I'm loving this feature that when I don't fly I still make that "flap-flap" sound when I jump, it's very nice. I'm going to test the collision of flying, I found that reloading a save with the effect active makes me collide and it's wonderful, I fall down for gravity but space keeps me flying higher (if it was on Fallout, I would say the script is no more running the SetPos on my ref). If animations response is good, I'm more than satisfied, like if I must press space to flap wings, to fly higher...
uglykidcid Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Collision flying has never worked. The author of animated wing is working on gliding. I agree it's needed. T bug is related to FPS. Anything over 60 FPS causes T bug and physics problems. Anything under 60 slows scripts. 60 is the number we are screwed with. I say that because script speed it unfortunately tied to FPS.
Guest Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 A couple of things I noticed with the jump: when I transform myself, the jump increases and it's ok. But when I transform back to human form the jump remains with high values and the only way to restore it is save and reload. Also, it seems it affects the horse riding jump too. Not that it's a problem, it's just to say. PS regarding the T-bug, maybe the high fps are not the only cause. I play with 5-30 fps but I have it pretty often when I ride a horse or in this case when I fly. I think it doesn't update the animation properly when it is still rendering the world
D_ManXX2 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 This is really good. But was wondering if there is any HDt hair mods without any DLC requirements ???
uglykidcid Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 I don't think you are going to find to many modders anymore who support non DLC setups. The DLCs were used by Bethesda to fix a lot of issues so you are basically asking us to write and then support mods that we know in advance are doomed to fail.
D_ManXX2 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Not to mention every single DLC also require another patch to fix I was hoping there was atleast some hair that did not require any more then base game. in order to play vanilla + DLC game you need Skyrim.esm and also every single other patch to fix base game. Anyway if there are none no reason pursuit this.
uglykidcid Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 You miss the point which is by the time you have 100 hours of game play you will be so overwhelmed with bugs you have to give up. The DLC do not just add content they fix bugs. Learnt o merge the patches and you'll be fine. Otherwise you are going to be like me with over 700 hours of game play and having to start over again because Skyrim doesn't forgive or forget when there is a bug. Every small scripting mistake is baked into your save forever. 90% of all scripting mistakes are in the vanilla Skyrim.esm. The DLCs fix many bugs. If you are not using the DLCs you should not be modding because you are compounding mistakes and setting yourself up for CTDs and failure.
