Sanguine's Debauchery+ CTD

Recommended Posts

So I just downloaded this, including all the prerequisites, and I believe I did it correctly (extracted everything to the Data folder, used NMM for the stuff that I could); I also ran FNIS after installing everything like I told it to (it showed the Reading Sexlab thing it was supposed to), and ran BOSS afterwards which showed no problems.  It still crashes to desktop on start.

Needless to say, I'm stuck.  My system is Windows 8.1, and my copy of skyrim came from STEAM.

Is there some kind of crash log I can put up here for additional info?

Yes there is, from the READ ME BEFORE posting thread ;)

FIRST THINGS FIRST, CHECK YOUR PAPYRUS DEBUG LOG!

As a script heavy mod, many of SexLab's most common errors are printed out in this log file and SexLab attempts to print out errors to the log in a descriptive manner to explain why it will not start an animation.

The debug log is disabled by default, in order to enable it, open your Skyrim.ini file, located in /My Documents/My Games/Skyrim/

Add/edit the following to this file:

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=1
bEnableTrace=1
bLoadDebugInformation=1

So i'd suggest doing that.

When you say it crashs to desk top on start how far are you getting? Do you crash immediately after the Beth Logo or once you try and load a save game/New game?

If its immediately after the beth logo then you have missed a file that is required by another mod or you have a skeleton issue (these are the only times I've ever crashed immediately after beth logo and have been fixed by finding missing file/fixing skeleton issue)

I'd also suggest moving from BOSS to LOOT as it has become the successor to BOSS and works more reliabley (has to be run a few times to begin with as i recall)

If you crash immediately after loading your game you are most assuredly missing master files in your load order or have an improper SKSE install.

My SKSE is not improperly installed.  I'm well aware that that's a problem for many people, but It worked perfectly for dozens of hours, including several 5-7 hour sessions, before I tried installing SD+

Furthermore, I would appreciate it if you could look at the debug files I uploaded before you throw out unhelpful one-liners.  There are more possibilities than just missing master files, such as mod conflicts, and I would greatly appreciate it if someone with more software experience than I could look at the raw data.

Your logs aren't able to run long enough to show any errors, there's nothing in them, just the start up. The chance is extremely high that you're missing master files. Do you have all the mods required by SD? I know it needs Death alternative, and a couple of others. Boss also doesn't place most of these in the correct load order. I use Loot, it's got more up to date masterfiles. If you've got TES5Edit, you can run that and it'll show you right away which masters you're missing.

Ashal was pretty much on the money with much fewer words and didn't deserve to be snapped at.

I wasn't intending to snap at him-if it sounded like I was, I apologize.  I was simply stating that as someone with very little software experience, one-liners do not help me fix the problem.

Second, thank you for pointing out the problem with the debug logs.  I didn't realize that the logs themselves had no useful information in them.

Third, I just downloaded the latest version of TESVEdit, and this popped up at the end of the log.  I'd appreciate it if someone could translate it for me;

Looks like something with devious devices is in the wrong place in the load order. It should go somewhere around:

Sexlab.esm

Devious devices-assets.esm

whichever other s you have like aroused.esm

integration.esm (and if you have it, expansion.esm) need to go at the bottom of your esm list.

Probably what's happening is Devious Devices integration is over Devious devices assets and that's causing a problem.

Modding can be frustrating from time to time lol. Do what me and Suckit do, when you're tearing your hair and eyeballs out from something not working right, go play some 'pinball' :D

Alright, I think I figured it out-and thank you very much, fizzybut, for giving me the lead I needed.

I went to look at my load order to see where Deviant Devices - Assets was located, and it didn't show up at all.  After re-downloading into 7-zip and extracting to the data folder, I went searching for the DD-A esm file, and I couldn't see it.  When I went into the 00 Core file, I found it sitting there.  I cut-and-paste it out of the 00 Core into the Data folder, and when I went to look at the load order, it showed up again.

Apparently (for me at least), you have to specifically take the .esm file out of its source folder and put it into Data with the rest of the .esms

I'm going to go run LOOT and TESVEdit, then I'll try playing for an hour or two.  If it works, I'll let you know.

EDIT:  Looks like it works.  Thank you all for your help-I think we can mark this one off as answered.
