Thinking of coming back

After aaaaaaaaaages way, was wondering if anything really new has come to skyrim. Is it worth firing up blender once more and making crap again?

Or is it same old same old?

Thanks in advance

Nothing all that revolutionary yet, seems like Skyrim is either way more restrictive or simply doesn't have all the geniuses that Oblivion did.

So no real new content? just the dlc's. it kinda looks to me that its slowly dying, maybe people are in wait for the next bug infested Beth game lol.

Well as much as I'd like to see you doing stuff again demon, no, Skyrim hasn't been through any startling metamorphosis that I can think of.

If folk like t3nd0, xp32, Lifestorock and Apollodown are prepared to continue spending their time on developing new things, well that doesn't seem like a dying scene to me.  There's great quality of life stuff like the recent HDT equipment mod and Familiar Faces cropping up lately too,  among other things. I'd say it's in ruder health than this creaky old engine really deserves to be.

If you're that jaded though, I dunno - what would it take to lure you back?

Oh, and while I'm looking forward to another Fallout, TES has always been my main squeeze, so it looks like I've got a very long wait before I leave this one behind.

Pretty much this, seems like the OP is a little bitter for some reason.

Skyrim is doing just fine as far as the modding scene goes.

Stability is better than ever thanks to 1.7+ of SKSE and coding breakthroughs like SSME, precache killer, Shesons memory patch and others.

SkyrimNexus, (whilst still a terrible community) still has dozens of quality mods posted daily, the latest gem (IMO) being the best attempt yet at a fully immersive and functional 1st person view mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57859/?

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think Skyrim is dying out at all.  It seems to be going strong.  In my own, very personal opinion, there's not a lot going on in the console world.  A lot of big titles coming soon.  For my taste, there just hasn't been big games that pull me away from Skyrim.  As the big titles I'm looking forward to, Dragon Age 3, The Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy 15 to name a few, these are my types of games.  I do love Fallout, but no mention of this.  So that leaves me with Skyrim and Fallout NV.  Out of the two, Skyrim is getting all the attention.

New animations, new bodies, new weapons, new armors, new homes, etc.  There's a lot going on.  Anyone who claims Skyrim is dying is most likely playing it non stop to the point of exhaustion or is into other stuff more.
