KainsChylde Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I made a little patch for Wendy Gilbert and Willow that allows Wendy to use the bunk beds in Willow's bungalow. Both mods require NVSE, so I had to use the NVSE Editor to get GECK to load them. All I changed is a formlist. RickerHK uses one for the beds Wendy can sleep on, so I had to add Willows bunk beds to it.I uploaded it to Nexus for shits n giggles, and now I'm getting users saying its triggering their NVSE update prompt. Did I do something wrong? Or is this an unavoidable side effect of using the NVSE Editor and users just need to update? Here's the link, if anyone wants to take a look. It obviously does nothing but CTD if you don't have Wendy and Willow installed. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56698/?
DoctaSax Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 It's probably a mod requirement that has an update message. In itself nvse doesn't warn people about updating as far as I know.
KainsChylde Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 Direct copy & paste of what the user said: had to uninstall the patch. it was causing my in game nvse message to pop up before i could press contiune I've had 16 downloads and only one complaint, so it may be a once off. It works fine for me, but then I made it.
DoctaSax Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 If all you did is change a formlist, it can't possibly be your fault. Although I appreciate how annoying it is to have a bogus bug report as a first post.
Odessa Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 They probably installed a bunch of other mods, and one of the others has a version check that says "You need NVSE 4 but you have NVSE 2, get the upgrade from nvse.silverlock.org", and decided the obvious solution was to complain to you .
