Huntchez Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I do not know if it is the website or my connection, 9/10 probably my connection. Anyway, downloads tend to 'complete' prematurely, leading to incomplete and broken or corrupt downloads. I have no problem downloading from anywhere else, with the exception of some Minecraft mods.. I tried using DownThemAll here, but the downloads never seem to start. I assume I am doing something wrong? How do I fix this so I can use DTA to get mods here?
myuhinny Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Try a different browser. I use chrome and have never had a problem downloading. Clear internet cache run malware/spyware remover and virus scan to be sure nothing is on the computer that is causing it.
Reine Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 From what I've seen, DTA doesn't seem to like playing well with any website that uses a countdown timer leading up to a download(sites like Rapidgator/Uploaded/Etc.). Just tried to download a mod myself using it, and it refused to start. Perhaps try a different download manager, or pray that your browser can complete the download.
Huntchez Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 All seems to have failed. Internet Explore, Firefox, Chrome, MaxThon. Maxthon seems to have gotten the furtherest, but failed as well. I will simply wait until I can acquire a better connection.
myuhinny Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 It could also be caused by your service provider not sure though.
perrymwt Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I've had the same problem, but recently the downloads started working for me. I believed the problem to be solved. See this http://www.loverslab.com/topic/30366-still-cant-download-without-problems/ for more details.
Huntchez Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 I really don't see the answer in there besides having an admin help, which is nowhere seen in the thread. Not a firewall problem either as I uninstalled all those and disabled my Windows Firewall. I used ASC and MWB to clean off any harmful crap on my desktop, but came up clean. I will simply conclude it is my internet. I am using my phone as a modem for internet.
zxcvb999 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 i've never managed to download any file with downthemall here. ISP fail is rather unlikely. problem with counters far more legit.
