Here is the Adult Content Guidelines for the Creation Kit forums. Looks like we can't link to Lovers Lab from the official forums, thus, I assume, from within the Skyrim Workshop either.

Full Creation Kit Forums now live: http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/184-the-creation-kit/

Edit: Copied this off the general forum rules:

"Recently there's been something of a rash of mods featuring adult content popping up, as well as many that are obvious attempts at toeing the line as to what's acceptable. We have no desire to police or limit the mods you produce on your own time. However, these adult content mods cannot be advertised on the forums here. We have to apply the same standards that we apply to your other posts to the kind of content in the mods you advertise here. You can't post links to sites featuring adult content in Community Discussion, for instance, so we can't allow it in here just because it's part of a mod."

Well at least that's something them saying we know you can and will make adult mods and we dont care just dont advertise them here. I can live with that :D

This is a rather funny way of wording that their policy..."You are allowed to link to mod sites which may also contain child killing and nudity mods elsewhere on them, but you may not link to the mods directly on that site. And you must always direct a user to a disclaimer page before the user enters your site warning them that such content exists on the site, that they are not affiliated with Bethesda Softworks, and that Bethesda Softworks doesn't condone nor is it responsible for any of the content on that site."

So technically you could in fact link to the main skyrim directory here on LL but can not link to said nude, adult oriented, or kill-able children mod.

I just thought it was funny that they purposely pointed out their own policy's loophole.

That x10.

I fucking love Bethesda.

No, they said that if the site is dedicated to adult oriented mods, you can't link it. I think Lovers Lab pretty well fits the description of a forum site dedicated to adult mods.

It would be worth asking if entering the URL (but not making it a link) is acceptable. They repeatedly say no "linking to" but nothing about not naming the site or giving the URL in a non-link fashion.

It sounds like saying "lovers lab" or "loverslab.com" is fine as long as neither is actually a link.

Hm...

We don't like this sort of content as it creates problems for us' date=' so you'll have to be a little forgiving when dealing with our rules.[/quote']

Actually they are more in the area of "We know you make these adult mods, and we don't like that, because those mods tend to cause trouble, but we chose to ignore it".

And is it my paranoia, or is there a "for now" between the lines? :/

AFAIK that has been their policy for several years for Oblivion, so thats not really new nor does it say anything except that they don't wont porn on their board (which is no surprise).

I don't see any positive (they couldn't prevent such mods even if they wanted to anyway) nor negative aspects here.

What I took away from it is that you can post links, provided it moves to a page disclaiming, and covering their ass. My take would be set up a disclaimer page about content as a portal to this site, but I still wouldn't put up our link there, to be honest. If someone asks for a site dedicated to adult mods, then send a PM or e-mail to let them know what the content is, and where it's located, then refer them privately.

It's discreet, and respectful of BethSoft's desire not to be associated. Still cracks me up that beheadings and executions are alright, but sex isn't. America's sense of "high morality" is all screwed up. Gratuitous violence is alright, but sex is evil. *le sigh* No wonder the world is so screwed up.

Sex sells! And it sells the better the more prudish the society is. It is the animal magnetism of the forbidden, nothing new.

To turn the ostensible disadvantage of enforced prudery in public into an advantage, to satisfy the interested and more, one has to find new strategies of marketing off the beaten tracks of linking - that way is mined, guarded and patrolled, for there and nowhere else they'll expect us. Think different, use their resources against them and do the opposite of the expected! The horny America is waiting for sex or something.

That would be a tie-in to the attempted media storm over oblivion getting nude textures very quickly after release.

On the other hand, it's people enjoying their game, and probably even selling copies.

They'll find it on their own.

I figure Bethseda's making the smart move by covering their asses legally, as this way they can't be held liable for corrupting the youth with dem boobies and genitals.

when I am in there House I do not mind obeying there rule's, as long as they let me keep my house the way I prefer it. Intrusions on my personal affairs is the only thing that really ticks me off.

I see this at least as straight forward, and up front.

It has always been this way, and there are young people that will be playing this game [how be it they might not ought to, but they will be doing so]. I want to protect them as best we can.

I want to hear this speech said by Colin Firth with Beethoven's 7th Symphony 2nd Movement (the King's Speech song) playing in the background.
