Mod Organizer and Body Slide 2

So I'm trying to run Bodyslide 2 through Mod Organizer and it's just not wanting to work with me. It keeps giving me this error:

Cannot load resources from 'file:/d%3a/res/BodyslideFrame.xrc'.

I've followed the troubleshooting instructions on the Nexus's mod page aka this:

#1: How to use the program with Mod Organizer:

1.) Install "BodySlide 2 and Outfit Studio" normally through the Mod Organizer installer (drag & drop the 'CalienteTools' folder out of 'Data')
2.) (recommended) Right-click "BodySlide 2 and Outfit Studio" and select "Ignore missing data"
3.) Right-click "Bodyslide 2 and Outfit Studio", and use "Open in explorer"
4.) Inside of the "CalienteTools/BodySlide" folder, locate "BodySlide.exe", and set it to always run as administrator.
5.) If you have previous versions installed (Caliente's original BodySlide or BodySlide++), make sure to drag & drop "Bodyslide 2 and Outfit studio" below them.
6.) (important) Go to the virtual data tab that's in the tabs to the right, and navigate to "CalienteTools/BodySlide/BodySlide.exe" (make sure "BodySlide 2 and Outfit Studio" is the provider mod. If not, check the previous step again).
7.) Right-click "BodySlide.exe" -> Add as executable.

Note: Do not hook BodySlide through the "Configure executables" tool instead, or it won't work. If you've got any problems, locate the main Mod Organizer executable (Mod Organizer.exe) and make sure its set to run as administrator as well.

And is still gives me the same error. I tried googling all over the place, checked the Mod Organizer forums and saw nothing. I can't for the life of me figure this out. Funny enough if I was to go to where Bodyslide 2 files are I can run the program just fine though the body has a bunch of text saying "no image file" which I guess is because of where it's installed.

So.. any help on this please?

Ok I figured out the hard part. Apparently both "Bodyslide.exe" and "BodyslideWXP.exe" must be set to run as administrator.

I just need to figure out how to make the texture show up in the preview now and possibly load meshes in the Outfit Studio. I haven't tried yet. One thing at a time...!

Okay i think i got it. I managed to fix this by having the skyrim folder on the same drive as the Mod Organizer folder. i had my mod organizer installed on my ssd and my skyrim folder on my hdd, this somehow conflicted so i put everything on the ssd. It works perfectly now. I hope this will fix your issues aswell

Yep, this actually works. MO and Skyrim both need to be on the same drive, in my case H:\

Skyrim + MO are on the same drive, but my MO mod folder isn't, because it's too big.

Hurray for downloading and installing Skyrim + MO on my slow drive again just because of bodyslide2 (bodyslide unp works, btw)..

edit: Installing it next to Skyrim/MO (not in my mentioned mod folder) and still linking it in MO worked for me.

Same here i got different MO profiles on different drives, but none of them work in accessing BodySlide, above fixes haven't helped. Only way i can get Bodyslide to work is on same drive as Skyrim but that drive is almost full, so can't load more MO profiles on it.

Apparently, the new version 1.3.x of Mod Organizer has some problems with launching BodySlide/executables if you have not disabled Windows UAC.

I'm still on 1.2.18.

I had MO on another drive (and Bodyslide worked wonderfully for forever) but I decided to put it all on one drive to see if I could figure out why the fuck the Unofficial Patches cause my game to CTD.

I immediately got the same error, but it will work if I manually load the Bodyslide executable outside MO (which is pretty useless, as my bodyslide armors are other mods) or it still works on the other drive. I think it has to do with the MO install. So I'm going to reinstall MO over the top of the new location on my Skyrim drive installation.

Dug into the windows registry (nothing) and reinstalled MO and nothing has made a dent in this weird error. It's like MO is stuck trying to send the original file location information when it runs it, even when you specifically have MO 'start in' the same folder.

As a matter of fact, I can actually get MO to run Bodyslide.exe without the error, if I direct the 'start in' folder as my old location. So MO is somehow remembering/not-forgetting the old location.

Seems to even have the problem if you rename the executable, so it appears something in MO 'remembers' binary executables by file size or hashes?

It's definitely a Mod Organizer bug...

And great, right after the developer goes on hiatus mostly.

Hmm...

I have solved this by copying the /CalienteTools/ directory to the skyrim folder - and then changing the path within mod originizer to point to this as the binary (leaving the "start in" option blank).

I can launch bodyslide from inside MO now - and the changes are kept to the MO Calientes directories (so it does not put them in the skyrim/data/mesh etc folders).

not the best .. but it works.

What I do is I unpackage the Bodyslide Outfit Studio directly to the desktop.

I then place whatever Mesh I happen to want to work on, on the Desktop.

With the game actually running in a small cell, like Breezehome.

I then Make alterations to the outfit.

With the Destination folder open.

I place the outfit into the game.

Take the outfit off and put back on.

I then see the changes immediately.

If I want to see textures which isn't a big deal actually, I just place those in the normal Game Folder.

Kid you not it works and its a heck of a lot faster when making tweaks to an outfit, no having to exit the game enter the game nonsense.

Just export meshes to the desktop then move them to the correct armor folder...Its cake.

Being the bad girl that I am, I was lazy and didn't read what everyone else had to say.

I've found that a lot of issues with Bodyslide 2 functioning properly through MO can be fixed by following these steps:
1) Remove Bodyslide 2 from your mod list in the left pane. Totally removed. Not just unchecked. Gone.

1a) Open the Edit Executables panel and remove Bodyslide.exe

2) Close MO

2a) Run a clean up utility (CCleaner or Cleanup 4.5.2)

2b) Open MO

3) Launch Skyrim Launcher.exe. Not Skyrim.exe. Not skse.exe
4) Close MO

4a) Open MO

5) Reinstall Bodyslide 2 with whatever options you need. (make sure to get the newest version, instead of installing from an archive you already have)
6) Make sure it's DIRECTLY under your body replacer in MO. I use CBBE, so I place it right after CBBE in my priority.

7) Navigate to the Data tab on the right pane of MO, scroll down to "Caliente Tools", find Bodyslide.exe and re-add it.
8) Open Bodyslide.exe

After you follow these steps, if you load an outfit and you see the textures, not just the meshes? It's working properly.

I need help, like  lots. But i have one Specific question

WHERE THE FUCK Does Bodyslide Output its meshes to when ran through MO?

For the fucking life of me, i can not find them. I thought it was override but nope, I make a new body, click build, open game and yup, they're there, BS works fine. Tho Pressing CTRL on build doesn't me choose a  custom location

BUT I can not for the life me negotiate my files/folders to find the meshes!

EDIT: Fix but another question.

Ok, Usingwindows search for most recent altered files, I found my meshes were going to TrepleenHDT folder with in Mo/Mods. Makes sense... but I thought whenever I created meshes in BS it would create an override folder? Isn't that what's supposed to do? Otherwise how does it know/decide where to actually put the meshes?

BodySlide has no control over what MO does with the files it creates. MO makes BodySlide override the last appearance of the file to replace. Only if it doesn't exist, it will be put into the override folder.

There's only one exception where it doesn't override the last appearance. It is when you run for example the BodySlide.exe that comes with the main CBBE mod, which has its own femalebody NIFs in that same mod folder in MO. It will replace that file in there, even if it's not necessarily the one used in-game (by MO order).

You can choose custom locations with CTRL + batch build, not CTRL + build.

Just get into the habit of using ctrl + batch build, then choose where you want them to be built, I normally build into a working directory then zip that up then use that as a new mod in mo, de-activating the old version.

But yeh it would be nice if you could simply tell body slide build all the stuff here and set a directory or your choosing.

To be honest though quite a few guides on body slide do say they will be built into the override folder, which may well depend on how you set up your body slide/mod organiser install.  Or they are out of date with body slide changing something internally which means it no longer does so.

Keep the ctrl key held down and then use the mouse to click on the batch build button in body slide, it should then open up a file browser type system, where you can move to where you want the meshes to be built, choose the select folder button on this screen, and sit back and wait a bit, make sure the folder you choose is empty to make things easier.

Though if you are batch building more than 1k items, body slide may well crash out with an error :(  Well it does with me anyway.
