DAMMIT!

I am trying to make a good looking female nord character that kinda looks like a mix between dumb blonde that falls into porno traps a lot and some valkyrie blond butt kicker! but all I can get out of a bunch of properly working mods and oblivion character overhaul 2 mod is those ugly as hell default hair styles and a messed up face! HOW do people get good looking lipstick and hairs and so on to work with oco2? The character creation part of oblivion is misleading with messed up field of view too:-( I am guessing people that make these really different characters use the cs to do it. Maybe there is some limitation in oblivion that won't allow you to add new hairs to the game? hairs not wigs?

Any number of hairstyles can be added to the game. A not-so-difficult CS edit, actually.

An illustrated description of he basic process can be found here. I just can't speak for the OCO system, never tried that one.

'Blockhead' allows for camera movement in the chargen window (hey wait, doesn't OCO2 make use of 'Blockhead'?!).

You could also try the console command fov X  - just replace the variable X with any number higher than the default of 75 for an increased field of view. This should also affect the facegen screen.

Many people prefer custom races that most of the time are coming with a large selection of hairstyles assigned. An alternative to races' fixed assortments of hairs and eyes are the two selector systems by Perfectioncat and VipCxj. Damn Nesux seems down at the moment so I can't hotlink the mods right now. One is named 'PEM_ChangeMod', the other one is 'VipCxj's Hair Eye Set'.

These mods allow the player to select hair and eyes on-the-fly at anytime (outside of the character generation screen), independently from a character's race settings.

LOL I was just about to complain about nexus being down! it ALWAYS happens, I am cursed:-( Whenever I don't want anything from nexus it is there no problem but as soon as I find a reason to play an elderscrolls game BAM! nexus goes down.

The problem for me right now with the body replacer mods is wearing the wrist irons causes my characters hands to be grey in some places. I found a link from google for HGEC compatible versions of wrist irons but OF COURSE they are ONLY on the dam down again nexus! dam nexus always down, I think most of their ddos problems are from people that hate certain moderators like vampire dante whatshisname over there. Maybe if they just fired a few moderators over there the ddos shit would stop.

edit

I forgot to mention I have the apachii weirdo goddess store mod installed, so when I get out of the sewer and get there, will there be some good wigs to use? so far the only wigs I can see in the screenshots are those mop looking things.

There are a limited few wigs in that mod which do look good, but it's already quite old. Antiquated. There are for example wig versions of some of MBP's hairstyles included - those which never really were that great to begin with ('Pretty Cure', the Ren hairs). The standalone Apachii wig mod has a few better wigs as this plugin is a bit newer. There is also the L-Wig mod.

Yeah, a few of the Growlf wigs are also included in the 'Goddess Store'. Even Chaki has made use of the one with the four-foot-long braid.

Speaking of which (or is it 'of whom'? Guess so. Frigging language barrier.): Here you will find some more truly beautiful wigs. And more...

Lastly there is SleepyD's small collection mod. Location of the wigs' container is a backyard in the IC Market District.

I need to make an x117 version of the Chaki Rikku wig! Far superior to the Rose Sims 30 I'm currently using for Kitty (no offence, GSB!).

Or so I thought. Converted the wig, exchanged the mesh of the one I was using before with the new version... Just to see in-game that it suffers from the exact same flaw that was bugging me for ages: A clearly visible seam on the headband, slightly off-center. Boohoo.

Then I went back to the Movomo conversion and had an idea. I used the function 'Mesh > Smooth Normals' on the branch with the headband and updated the tangent spaces. Badaboom - the seam is practically gone! It's still there but nearly invisible. Should have thought of using this function before.
