ds64 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 http://www.theverge.com/2014/7/23/5932219/tetsuya-nomura-batman-final-fantasy It's so different... and it's remind me of bahamut.IMHO it's quite badass though.
Lobzpooatu Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 That is badass! I want that picture on my wall.
Vykroft Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 He is an awesome artist, but... and forgive me.. I don't like it. BATMAN DON'T USE AN ARMOUR!!!! (sorry I'm a big fan of Batman) I've been hating the full body armour version implemented on the movies since the first Tim Burton film. And yes I know, the actors doesn't have the anatomy (meat) for the role, and because of that, it is required an armour with abs to bypass the problem. But... the true is that Batman, (in Skyrim terminology) use leather... not heavy....
SquallPT Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 He needs to be super agile and wearing a full body armor doesn't help. Looking foward foward for the Batffleck suit
Gloyzer Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Altought I always think that the most logical approch of someone rich and without superpowers like Bruce Wayne should be equip himself with the state of the art in the protection technology, this armor is too much over the top for my taste but it's the typical japanese approach that point to the coolness without caring about other factors. However it look badass XD

But... the true is that Batman, (in Skyrim terminology) use leather... not heavy.... I've seen Batman use full body armor in both the comics and animated series on multiple occasions... He even jacked a peon's armor and used it to clock Darkseid with once.
LordJerle Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Batman Beyond v.2.0?? I'm subbed to that >.>, but no, not what I meant :-P The Superman/Batman early run when they were rescuing Supergirl from Apokalips is when he decked Darkseid. As for the power armor, there's numerous examples, one of which is the Dark Knight Returns, when he faced off against Superman... blah blah blah blah blah... He uses whatever he needs out of what he has available.
Vykroft Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 True, and and true. But is not his "usual" outfit, he use a kevlar suit on a regular basic, and only "upgrade" to heavy armour if it needed. But in that picture you have a FULL HEAVY METAL ARMOUR, and I don't like it...
ToxicKetchup Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I feel like it should have a caution: sharp edges warning on it somewhere.
Kpnut Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I don't like that design. Tbh I wouldn't have recognised it as Batman if I hadn't have been told it was Batman (I saw it on a Jimquisition episode, didn't agree with everything he said but I do agree that that's a bad batman design.) Tbh it looks more like a mech than Batman, everytime I see the image I keep expecting to see a small Batman coming out of its chest.
Eth4rlad Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Although Jim Sterling can be a preachy and overly smug Bastard, i agree with him that this design is simply a horrible Mess. "All Detail, no Depth, all Design, no Style, all complexity but no fucking meaning" And, to me, too Anime. Just too much, as if overcompensating, to the point of being silly. Buckles over buckles, oversized Swords and all that sillyness.
SquallPT Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I gotta admit. Played FF13, can't remember the story. Played 7,8,9,10 and i remember most of it. Especially 8.
ds64 Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 I forgot about this thread... and yeah the artist style is too strong in this one, the result is soo different, what do you expect from Tetsuya Nomura design?about this figure line, it's quite good though, I already have 2 Masterchief figure (original green and gold). Other example of Playarts KAI figures: (some of big pic inside) Batman Arkham City Batman Arkham Origins Batman Variant Flash Batgirl
RaynGrayson Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 The armors in the original post remind me so much of the LIngering Sentiment. If Tetsuya Nomura is nothing else, he's consistent.
