That thing bothering me...

So I went on a mod download rampage that lasted for months already. I downloaded a lot of neat stuff that made my game look perfect to me but now I don't know what to download anymore, it may be a good thing but downloading new mods is a part of Skyrim for me and now I'm not inspired anymore...at least not enough to download anything new.

So here I am asking for inspiration! Post your favourite mod of all time, the most beautiful and perfect to your eyes. It may be a dress, a weapon, a house, whatever!

Mine probably is Bijin Warmaidens (Specially Lydia) or Insanity's Ebony sword

I'm really down with immersion mods and mods that affect gameplay. A good mod to me changes up the experience so the game feels less on rails after the 10th+ playthrough. Stuff like Skyre, Realistic needs, Alternate Start, frost fall, etc. I just like the idea of the player having even footing to npcs so I can't just go around "Dragonbornning."

Indeed, in fact I have those mods too and I just can't play without them. They are like a Skyrim feature

From those mods one I really liked is Wet and Cold - Holidays, it adds a lot of "colour" to the cities and can gives you for some reasons many feelings.

And well, combat things and such too... but I'm one of those who try to enjoy everything in the game and not just the combat part, since mods can make the game so perfect

I'm not sure what my favorite of all time is, but to suggest one that isn't already a hugely popular staple that everyone already knows about, check out the Aesir Armor. It's an amazing, badass, fully lore-friendly set of ridiculously customizable armor, and comes with a long, epic, and super challenging dungeon to find it in.

Try this one for a refreshing change:

This is actually pretty good! I downloaded this instantly... and asked myself why I was playing without it

Yeah I know this one! It's pretty badass ^_^ Though it doesn't fit very well with my current character Lydia or Poet may actually enjoy it

Hunterborn

Some so called immersion mods get in your face and can be quite obnoxiously loud, which is kind of ironic really. But Hunterborn is one of those that just sits in the background ticking away, quietly doing it's thing, and before you know it you've entirely forgotten that you ever needed to mod that side of the game in the first place.

It's had the most quietly profound impact on the way I play the game. The caveat is that you need some other significant mods to be running alongside it to really enjoy it's full potential. But to anybody that likes their immersion, that's a given anyway.

Post your favourite mod of all time,

I'm not sure about the "of all time" part but...

The Dark Mod

I meant Skyrim related

I know this one! And I actually wanted to download it so bad > w < I can't find an italian translation though and I don't want to split my game in many languages

Ah that's a pity. Maybe put in a request on the mod's page, maybe the author will be happy to collaborate with you on getting it done by sharing the relevant source files. That often happens.

It's still a huge work to do ; c ; I tried to open that file alone and when I saw the work behind it my laziness took advantage. There are a lot of italian modders though, if more people want it tanslated I'm sure someone will do it

If you like to play necromancers or shining crusaders, the mod undeath might be of interest for you. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40607/?

The questline is rather shot but very well made, presents options to either thwart the evil guys or become a lich. Also, very stable, never experienced a CTD or any problem in general with it.

Also, very obviously my favourite mod. ;)

Absolutely, Hunterborn is one of my favorites and like you said other mods work well with it.  I like running SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators alongside.  Skyrim just seems wrong without it.

The one Mod i can't live without anymore and that's probably actually motivating me to replay Skyrim again and again is "Alternate Start". Probably coupled with "Timing is Everything" so i can tailor what quests i want to trigger and which not. Pairing those two together has probably impacted my Gameplay more than anything.

But yeah, beside those, the whole immersion-package adds depth for me. Of all the mods i have running, 60 of them are for immersion only. It can be big things like the city-overhauls and incosequential NPCs or little things that change the idle banter of the Guards and townsfolk. More Inns and Taverns beside the Roads, more travelers on the Roads. It's not a single mod in that regard but the whole package.

The Dev Aveza skyship, simply love this stuff, this is everything I really want in a mod. A flying house, customizable, cool looking, simple and functional. I always make sort of a pirate/bandit character too, so it's perfect for me.

The best fun I've had with it was during the Dark Brotherhood quest, on the Emperor's murder, I came down with the ship on the side of his boat and blasted my ship's cannons at it until half of the guards on the deck died while my followers boarded the enemy ship and fought the rest of the Imperials. I creeped behind the fight and got in the cabins, killed the Emperor, and we got the hell outta there. Awesome.

Also, fighting dragons if you are an archer on the skyship is simply the best. One time it glitched too and the dragon just landed on the deck, best fight evar.
