Hi all,

I need help to translate the Schlongs of Skyrim mod to all Steam languages + chinese.

I have already done the easy part, the MCM menus and some messages.

The list of available languages:

  • CHINESE
  • CZECH
  • ENGLISH - needs a grammatical review, not a translation
  • FRENCH
  • GERMAN
  • ITALIAN
  • JAPANESE
  • POLISH
  • RUSSIAN
  • SPANISH
The English file: Schlongs of Skyrim - Core_ENGLISH.txt

Thanks for your help

EDIT: Updated english file. It was a reorder of lines, I didn't add new strings.

EDIT: Updated english file. This time I made a couple of edits because the debug spell has changed its location:

$hl_debug_spells	Get SOS internal status information for this character.\nThis information can be used in bug reports to help us understand what might be going wrong.

Italian Translation of "Schlongs of Skyrim V0.30BETA"

Saro' felice di correggere il testo in caso di errori, di ortografia e non, eventualmente segnalati.

Grazie! ^_^

Installazione: Decomprimere l'archivio e sovrascrivere i files gia' presenti in data/

o usare NMM scegliendo "NO" e poi "Yes To all"

(Ovviamente serve aver installato prima Schlongs of Skyrim)

I've added the Chinese language to the list due to recent (and quite interesting) events involving some mods from LL.

The Chinese language doesn't seem to be a supported language in the Steam platform, so I am not sure how you chinese people manage the translations.

I've looked at the Body Change mod. It has a patch "Bodychange Simplified Chinese" with a translated BodyChange_ENGLISH.txt. And I thought on doing the same.

Ciao Tiranno, ci sono dei piccoli errori di ortografia, ma cose minimali (forse dettate dalla fretta.. ;) ) nel complesso è ottima.

Una cosa, io avrei lasciato proprio "schlong" (ormai è come un marchio) o al massimo lo avrei tradotto proprio con pene.. d'altrone è quello che è :D

se vuoi ti mando un PM con la mia versione corretta.

fammi sapere

un saluto!

If i start translate that to finnish language will You add that to mod?

Ops I missed this post somehow.

Got a couple of questions.

Is the Finnish language supported by Steam / Skyrim? I mean, will the game understand the "Schlongs of Skyrim - Core_FINNISH.txt" file?

Do you use any other mod translated to finnish? Like SkyUI or so

I've double checked the German translation, corrected some typos and found a (imo) better translation for "to bend".

I still have one question: What context has "afflicted"? Because there are some varations for a German translation, with similar, but still diferent meaning. For now I took the one, that was the best choice imo, but maybe there is a better one )

€dit: Found something more, may still be unfinished ;)

Thanks! I'm using this revised version for german if nobody disagrees.

The afflicted thing is the name of a race used on this quest http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Only_Cure

For SOS is just the race name in its MCM settings.

There are dialogues where you can get the translation. For example in quest DA13 / Player dialogue / DA13AfflictedFateBranch

Hmm, that's tricky then, because the word is inflected by its context.

So "Afflicted Refugee" means "Befallener Flüchtling", but if "he is afflicted", it's "Er ist befallen".

and if he says "I am one of the afllicted" it's "Ich bin einer der Befallenen".

So, hf with that ;)

I proof read it for the English version of it. The only thing you could change grammatically is the line:

$hl_schlongification_enabled    Schlongification is the proccess that allows to assign schlong shape/sizes

to

$hl_schlongification_enabled    Schlongification is the proccess that allows the assignment of schlong shape/sizes

or

$hl_schlongification_enabled    Schlongification is the proccess that allows you to assign schlong shape/sizes

Typos? I don't make tyspos! ^^

Your translation for bend is better, I wasn't really happy myself. I wanted to use "krümmen" at first but wasn't sure about the length and if it interferes somehow. If the word length is not a problem, I would recommend "krümmen".

I had put "Afflicted" on the backburner during the translation, because I use the English client and was a bit unsure about the context. And it stayed there, because I forgot to ask about it, hehe

But since it is used as a race description, in German we could use "Befallene", what do you think, Mister-X?
