Toastbre4d Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I currently have problems setting up my Ningheim character for Better Vampires. I have done everything described in the troubleshooting section of the mod's website, to no avail. The Problem is that my character doesn't change to the vampire Ningheim race when turning into a vampire, which causes the scripts of Better Vampires not to kick in. I can feed, I am debuffed when stood in sunlight, but the mod still says that the BV scripts are not running, even when I'm flagged as a Vampire andUndead and all that. I checked TesVEdit and Better vampires wins all conflicts and Mod Organizer says the PlayerVampireQuest script is supplied by Better Vampires, too.Halp!Greetings, Toastbre4d
dashipper Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Hmm. I'm not sure I've ever had a problem with the two before. Try forcing your character into the vampire race via the console and see what happens: player.setrace ningheimracevampire. You may have to reset/restart better vampires and sanguine vampiris or whatever it's called afterwards.

dashipper Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 After changing your race to the vampire race in the console, reset better vampires the way the MCM/website tell you to. If that doesn't work, try pushing the bettervampires.esp to the bottom of your load order and see what happens. There's a perk that it changes and if some other mod changes it it can cause BV to break.
winny257 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 "bazaba" is right, without "Race compatibility mod" nothing works!it does not matter whether you have installed this, but it plays a major role if the "Ningheim race" has been integrated into this mod. if this is not the case then your Ningheim race will always have problems.check if this is race integrated. it looks like for me Ningheim is not included. I was able to get it to work for the most part, but occasionally Harkon and pals would not register me as being a part of their faction and would attack me when entering the castle. Other times I would feed and then everything would break down. Wouldn't be able to feed anymore etc. In the end I deleted that character and went back to using the vanilla races. Custom races are cool, but with ECE/RaceMenu I can make the vanilla races look however I want them to. Too much effort making custom races work for me.
