LordZulten Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Okay so long-story short, I used UNPB+BBP, Bleak ENB, and about 255 mods, consisting of most of the mods from here (Bad, I know) and tons of outfits/followers.I recently got this torpedo boobs issue, and can't really seem to fix it. I got some awesome support on the chat, ((SHOUT OUT TO cell and ahegao-san and Groovtama! )) but couldn't solve my issue. What I'd like to know is:Favorite body preset! - commendable clothing mods for that presetFavorite mods in general (LL or Nexus))Skyrim setups worth trying? (Such as SkyRe and others)I can tell you that I will reply to as many of you as I can, and a lot of that replying will consist of, "Yeah I tried that and (hated/loved) it!" or "I've never heard of that, and I (will/won't) try it out!"All input is appreciated! and I have about 1 hour of compressing to go before I restart fresh! HELP MEEEE!((Subbed))
afa Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Mod Organizer, SKSE, SkyUI, Sexlab, FNIS, Arousal, DD asset, DDi, DDextension, Fus ro Doh, HDT High heel, HDT, Sexlab Defeat (or Submit with DD progression). These are my "baseline" mods. Body is a mess, they all have their ups and downs, functionality, versatility, and taste involve.
Guest NeonFirefly Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Apart from the obvious essentials like SKSE, SkyUI and the unofficial patches, some of my essential mods include some well-known standards like Convenient Horses, Frostfall, iNeed (just like Realistic Needs & Diseases, but with fewer scripts), Immersive HUD, A Matter of Time, Wet and Cold, Footprints, MFG Console, Screenshot Assist, Gildergreen Regrown, Lore-Based Loading Screens... list goes on, but that's what I got off the top of my head. That doesn't even include my endless piles of visual enhancement mods like SMIM, Realistic Water Two, Better Dynamic Snow, Ruins Clutter Improved, Vivid Landscapes, Project Parallax, et cetera. Then we've got ENBs to think about. My current faves are Mirage of Summer, Poupouri First Seed, Somber, Opethfeldt and Saraan Suum. I tend to avoid mods as major as SkyRe, especially since that one invites all sorts of incompatibility issues. I don't feel like Skyrim really has a "definitive" setup overhaul like Fallout 3 and New Vegas did. However, I do use SPERG, which is a simple but excellent perk overhaul, in conjunction with Better Leveling and the Skyrim Community Uncapper. Now, as for body type, that's a matter of personal taste. Personally, I use SeveNBase, because I like its mix of curviness and athleticism, and its compatibility with a huge amount of armors and skin texture mods. The Demonica body is the most realistic you'll find, but it's extremely limited in customization options, and currently has no compatibility with BBP or HDT, as far as I'm aware. So for now, I'm sticking with SeveNBase, with UNPB as a close second. For some awesome 7B armors, check out Shocky's massive conversion compilation.

I typically use some sort of enb with tons of visual enhancements as well. I did try Skyrim community uncapper once, but I think I will try it with some of the other mods you listed. Skyre was cool, but I found the same issue of being incompatible with a lot of my favorite mods. Can iNeed be disabled without uninstalling it? I used one like Realistic needs, but I couldn't remember the name. I hated getting into sticky situations where I was basically stuck unless I disabled it. It became tedious and annoying really fast. I think I will give CBBE with HDT a try this go around. My favorite was UNPB but I am intrigued with these physics options! I just think it is going to be a long learning process. As for Mod Organizer, the only complaint that I have is that I won't be able to manually install as I like to do. :/

Try as many things as you can, that's the best way to find great mods. As for MO, it's perfectly possible to manually install mods. You won't be able to use an MO mods if you don't launch the game through it, but you'll still be able to use any mods you installed manually or with NMM if you launch with MO. Not sure why you'd want to do that, but you can. It gives you tons of options.

nutluck Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 My first question would be are you going for immersion? If so mods like frostfall, wet and cold, brighter torches etc are a must. I won't talk about graphic mods as those is more a matter of personal taste. I personally like UNP body for example and fair skin texture but there is a lot of great ones out there to choose from. To make things more challenging and less, die and just reload to last save to try again. I like mods that have things happen other than death. Death Alternative, Arachnophobia Expanded, Defeat/Submit, mods that instead of kill you makes things hard by capturing you or stealing your stuff giving you set backs. Then iHud, a matter of time, trade and barter, more hud, custom camera, Auto Unequip ammo, a quality world map, Racemnu/ECE, Alternate start, Timing is everything, run for your lives, when vampires attack, convenient horses, and helmet toggle are all mods that no matter what kind of game I was playing I wouldn't play with out.
LordZulten Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 I want to go for immersion this go round. I have frostfall, wet and cold, and iNeed as of now. I did like unp the most, but I am trying CBBE this time to see how I like that. I am considering SD this time, instead of submit (Which was my personal favorite). I also wanted to try Estrus Chaurus and a couple pregnancy mods. How stable is this Arachnophobia mod? I was looking into it at earlier stages but I saw it as potentially annoying and maybe not for me. I am definitely interested in it if it has cool features.iHud is worth looking into. I haven't really heard of some of those, such as a matter of time, trade and barter, etc. In fact, I have only used Auto Unequip ammo, quality road map, racemenu and alternate start. Convenient horses I had but never understood.

Convenient horses I had but never understood. Defeat is adding a lot in the new updates but it is still in beta, eventually it will have a bunch of events like Death Alternative but more sexual in nature. Arachno is fairly stable, it still has a few bugs and it too is still a WiP and looks like it might soon have a optional tie into Death Alternative as well. As for the others a brief description of them so you know. a matter of time - adds a nice in game clock, date, time, season etc very immersive and can be toggled on or off with a hot key. trade and barter - lets you change the merchants some, like city ones have more gold, wearing a helm increases price etc. A very nice little mod that helps make the merchants in skyrim seem a bit more alive with the economy. more hud - This gives you information when you hover over a object. Like hover over a plant and it tells you if you have any of them already and how many, it also tells you any known effects you have discovered for it. Same with weapons, plus it shows if the damage is better or worse than your current weapon etc. Handy for compulsive looters. custom camera - gives you a lot more control over the camera views in the game. Not to the level of free camera but close and a lot more stable. Plus I like how you can have it change camera view when you are sneaking for example. Timing is everything - this one lets you adjust the levels of when some events can happen in game. Like if you have dawnguard DLC set what ever level you want for when random vampires attack cites or even turn random vampire attacks off completely. Same with dragons, or change when you can get level restricted quests like deadric quests etc. run for your lives, when vampires attack - these are similar mods, the make NPC's other than guards or obvious warrior types to run away from dragons or vampires when they show up instead of fighting and typically dieing. This helps keep NPC's from being killed during those events which I personally always found annoying. helmet toggle - pretty much what it sounds like. It lets you toggle the helm graphic on or off. You still have it on, but you can toggle it so it is not displayed. So if you like seeing your characters hair or face you can toggle it off and still have the benefits of wearing a helm.
DeepBlueFrog Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I was going to reply to this thread and instead, got involved into a more detailed blog post about my setup (too detailed to post here). Here is the link if you want to take a look. http://www.loverslab.com/blog/60/entry-507-skyrim-setup-in-2014/

Okay, I'm definitely adding all of those except helmet toggle, because I can take that off, and timing is everything, because I don't mind it. Also I will probably wait on the Arachno one until it is further into development. I really appreciate the input! I look forward to trying these mods!
nutluck Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 you're welcome. Other than that I mostly just use texture mods for the world, armor/weapon or bodies. Then some mods here like Radiant Prostitute tweaked etc. For immersive mods others pretty much covered all of them. Frostfall, wet and cold, footprints, real shelter, ineed, ihud, no snow under roofs, etc. Only other mods I use is follower mods and there is some really great ones of those.

Here is the link if you want to take a look. http://www.loverslab.com/blog/60/entry-507-skyrim-setup-in-2014/ You have a setup pretty similar to mine, actually. I think I will give your ENB a try and I will review more of the mods that you use when I have time. (Gotta go to work for now :/)
Taskmaster Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I'm going to try out this iNeed and Wet and Cold. I think I will stick to the NMM for now, because I am most comfortable with it. I want this install to be good and not another learning experience for me lol Please reconsider, and go MO. I honestly feel it's worth the time to figure it out and use it. Time spent on the front end to save you an extremely large amount on the back end, when it comes to troubleshooting, stability, restarting, customization, etc.
LordZulten Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 I'll look into it again. I know a bit about how modding works now and it's safe to say I can keep this install clean.
gvman3670 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 As for Mod Organizer, the only complaint that I have is that I won't be able to manually install as I like to do. :/ Screw manual installs. I will never install manually again (besides a couple things that need to be).

I like to manually do some things, because it saves me some steps in many cases. Such as when I don't download from nexus.

I like to manually do some things, because it saves me some steps in many cases. Such as when I don't download from nexus. I only manually install stuff that goes in the root folder, but I don't install anything at all into the Skyrim/data folder. To do so would defeat one of the best features of Mod Organizer. Not to mention the ability to have multiple profiles for mod testing and multiple playthroughs.
LordZulten Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 S.T.E.P is always a good choice. I did download that, but I didn't realize that I had to install a bunch of additional mods as well, and I had already got most of the mods that I wanted by that time.
Askan Vulrel Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Requiem. My favorite mod of all time. It's a huge roleplaying overhaul that makes the game way more like oldschool RPGs. Rather than either you or your enemies having overpowered amount of health, it's got realistic damage all around. Being hit by a greatsword is like being hit by a greatsword. Rather than being a jack of all trades, every skill starts off as 5. You can't really use any skill until you put a perk into it, but they give you three perks right off the bat. Makes it feel more like you're roleplaying your character, instead of this god-like being that can do everything. Those are just some examples. It's really a great overhaul, and I'll almost never play Skyrim without it. Dragonborn Requiem compatibility patch Civil War Overhaul (plus its Requiem compatibility patch) Immersive Patrols (Requiem compatibility patch) Wyrmstooth (Requiem compatibility patch) Falskaar (Requiem compatibility patch) Undeath (SL mods) Sexlab Sexlab Defeat Sexlab Spouses Enhanced Sexlab More Nasy Critters (plus everything that comes with it, depending on the character. If playing a male, I only get it for the female werewolf anims) Sexlab Solutions (if female) Sexlab Trainers (if female) Sexlab Romance Sexlab Dangerous Nights (if female) Sexlab Werewolves Sexlab Sex with Thieves (if female) Sexlab Enchantress (if female) Sexlab Dangerously Nude (if female) (Mods I'm using for my current female Bosmer druid/huntress) Sexlab Animal Sex Tame the Beasts of Skyrim II (plus its compatibility patch to Animal Sex) Plus all the mods above, besides Undeath, and Requiem. I'd also like to start using Sexlab Breeder for female characters, but I can't seem to get it to work.
LordZulten Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 I'd really like to try this Requiem mod. I have heard a lot of good things about it. I wanted to hear from someone who played it if it was actually stable for the most part or if it has a lot of crashes. For now, I have these mods: Immersion/Gameplay: Frostfall Falskaar Wyrmstooth Undeath Alternate Start iNeed (Which I really like) Wet and Cold Lock Overhaul Functional Bags Convenient Horses Amazing Follower Tweaks Paradise HallsCutting FloorPublic BathhouseCollege Days Sisterhood of Dibella Realistic Room Rental Trade and BarterHelgen Reborn Organized Bandits of Skyrim ASIS (AI overhaul) SkyTEST (creature AI, which is really decent/hard) Bottomless Pit (Haven't tried and I've been using it for ages) Complete Crafting Overhaul Arrows and Bolts fixes (ABT) Character:Cbbe w/ a nice skin replacer (I think it's just called CBBE skin replacer), including HDT physics. Several clothing mods, including BAMM. I believe bodyslide counted close to 800 lol. I opted for XCE instead of RM, this time around and I am pretty satisfied with it. Companions:Malise Tauriel (Haven't tried) Gabby the pastry chef (Haven't tried) Alicia (Haven't tried so I figured I'd give it a shot) Rigmor (Haven't tried) Interesting npc's Khaliza of Glaine SL mods: Devious devices DD - For the masses II Gags SFX SL StoriesSanguines Debauchery (Which I will probably uninstall AGAIN in favor of Submit) Defeat Devious Regulations Deviously Helpless Devious Captures (Which just adds devices) Estrus Chaurus Beeing Female (Pregnancy Mod)TDF Prostitution (Which I am not a big fan of, however Radiant is really buggy) SOS SL Aroused SL Theft and Seduction SL Nude Creatures SL Warmbodies (for Frostfall)Alternate Start LADL Captured Dreams Angrims Apprentice Sacrificial Spriggan PSQ (Which I haven't tried yet) XaZ Prison Overhaul HYD Slavegirls Slaverun (Which I haven't seen yet) I know I have a lot more, but that's quite a bit to read in itself.
Askan Vulrel Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 So far I've never had a problem with Requiem. Sometimes the compatibility patch with Dragonborn gives CTDs, however. I think SkyTEST might be unneeded with Requiem, however, as Requiem enhanced creature A.I. on its own.
