Strangely, if I play Skyrim using the SKSE loader in windowed mode, the entire cache of HDT parts shake like that! It's REALLY fucked up when you try the vagina HDT used by UB7b. They don't do it in full screen, only windowed. Why I had to record in windowed is I have only got Camtasia to record from.
Duval99 Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Clearly the word here is not 'realistic' for non-stylised body replacers but 'natural' i.e. following within the highest percentile range of a bell-curve distribution graph. Yes, in real life there are those with massive mamms and those with tiny tittehs but they would be outliers on that graph. Depending on one's personal experiences, one particular body replacer will appear more natural than another. Then personal taste comes into it based on sexual preference and importance of other attributes (eg. should they be more athletic due to swinging a fuck-off big pig-sticker around all day etc). Until someone models a body based purely on objective, empirical data from the results of a comprehensive global study on female body shapes and proportions then this will always come down to subjective preference and will, frankly, remain irrelevant bickering. Rant aside, I've always been partial to UNP but have recently been playing a character using the newish Demonica/LB3 body and really quite digging it.

I have actually taken great pains to study the female figure for over half my life(22 years) now, thank you very much! Seriously though, I have spent a lot of time pouring over tons of online imagery of various female shapes and sizes to use as reference for Venus. Yes, some like fat girls, some like skinny girls. But overall, I think we all can agree there exists a common yet still oh so imperfectly perfect shape that somehow appeals to all admirers of the female aesthetic. In basic terms, if you like girls, you will like the look of such a girl. This girl would possess all of the particular attributes which repeat most commonly among the world's female populace(the things that would show up on your global study of girlie parts). These attributes become an institution, if you will; defining consciously and subconsciously what a nice looking woman fundamentally IS. An ass, for example, that is round, firm, has "gravity" folds(where the cheeks fall slightly on the back legs as a result of gravity pushing them downward), has an actual crack, and STILL isn't bad to look at. I don't mean amazing wahpow, I just mean not bad. All of my artistic ability for digital sculpting went into shaping Venus with such attributes in mind. That means if you DON'T like the way Venus looks(on at least one point along the weight slider), then either you like some unusual type of chic or I'm not as good a sculptor as I think I am. Maybe it is the latter, and I'm the one who's blind. That would certainly explain why only a minority of people have taken to Venus. I mean if it was so amazingly great, none of its current shortcomings(minimal outfits support, no full body tbbp, etc) would matter. Others would help me create that stuff, and it would become the only body that people use for Skyrim. What a load a shit that is. I feel like I did my best though, whatever the truth is. That's enough for me to always be proud of it.

Reason I didn't bother with Venus is probably the same as others, the upper body of Venus is the look of a porn star past her prime which are not what people who seek "realistic" bodies go for. As for why Venue is not more popular, there is just too much porn body replacements and as latecomer Venue brings nothing substantial to the table. At this stage of Skyrim life cycle, people are looking for stuff that pushes the technology envelop, like Dream Girl, Lady Body and soon CITRUS. All these bodies address "realism" by improving on the structural shortcomings of earlier bodies rather than just shifting existing stuff around.

A past her prime porn star?? You know, I'll bet you are just like those 6 other "professionals" I had to global block over at Nexus. They were quick to offer their opinions on how useless they thought Venus was to Skyrim players. But they never actually downloaded the mod to try in-game. I know because modders can see exactly who downloads what and when if they make a comment also. You do however bring some good discussion points to the "table." I agree Demonica is a very good body. I've been testing this fairly new body the past 2 days in comparison to Venus. Here's how both girls look on my machine: Okay, what do your eyes tell you? Demonica is very good. Especially if you like Rachel Weiss--the cartoon version. You can see it right there. So, why not choose Lady Krista's lovely gal as your complete female replacer over Venus? Because for one, this little envelope pusher doesn't replace anything but a single slot on your race menu. That means Susanna and Hroki will never have this look. Nor will any other female in the game, save for the one you are playing as. That makes for an awful mismatch unless you're using Skyrim to emulate Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Personally, I want realism for Skyrim, not cartoons. I also like scapula plates and hands/feet that don't look like a manniquin's. Why don't you download Venus AND TRY IT, wr3zzz? Maybe you really did download it, though. Maybe Venus really doesn't look as good on your machine as it does mine. If you did, I apologize for doubting you. I will tell you all that most ENBs and certainly that x117 pedophile shit skeleton won't make Venus look as good as a defaultly lit Skyrim will. The body was designed on a fresh install without any mods active because such was considered the most coomon configuration. If Venus doesn't make your Skyrim experience better under such circumstances, then you gave it a fair shot. That's all I could ever ask. But I do ask it. That's not too much, is it?

This body with HDT weighting would be a very viable alternative for someone who likes a UNP body but thicker/curvier. I'd also suggest a "no pubes" option so people could use other textures and not have purple pubies. I use MO so I just load the Venus textures then whatever else below that (in the left pane) so the pubes and stuff still have color.
Para Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 many body replacements are realistic in their way because the are many different bodyshapes in real life. I'm using UNPB because on weight 0 it looks pretty similar to my real body. All other replacements just have too big boobs...

My own characters use 7BO, the default for everyone else is UNP, but I have vanilla, UNP, UNPB, and 7B armors and such installed, too. I'm probably going to also add some CNHF 2.5 versions of some of the heavy armors. +1 to the UNP UV or whatever; can mishmash armors all over the place. It actually feels more "realistic" to have armors that don't always matchup to the exact body mod(but the skin obviously has to, if it's showing). If I was using bodyslide, I'd make different armors with a different body shape, etc.

Let me phrase my professionally qualified opinion better to help you understand why your "product" Venus has not have as much success as you thought it should. Normally I wouldn't bother but I have been surprised by the high level of general maturity and willingness to help on this site so I thought I should reciprocate. Why hasn't Venus taken the modding community by storm as UNP or CBBE or even garnered the kind of praises or support as Dream Girl or Lady Body? In the case of UNP and CBBE, the success of both bodies is almost entirely attributed to being first movers. By the time Dream Girl and Lady Body arrived the market has already been segmented by various derivatives of UNP and flexibility of CBBE+Bodyslide. Dream Girl was released months prior to Venus and its modest success already indicated that there is no more large demand for a new general body type which Venus is positioned. At this point of Skyrim's life cycle only two obvious niches still have pending demand. Those looking for even more realistic characters and those looking to push the technical boundary of Skryim bodies. The former is essentially people looking for better sculptors which is where Lady Body really excelled and I don't fault Krista for wanting tight control to maintain her artistic integrity. However, art is subjective and not a mass market product and Lady Body did not even get modest support until relaunched as a custom race. The later is about problem solving such as CITRUS+xp32 skeleton 2.0 where the teams are looking to construct a high poly body "solution" that can meet the challenges of HDT Physics with the versatility of Bodyslide and OS. Hopefully I have provided enough so you can see things with clear eyes. Lastly, ask yourself honestly how do you want to define success for Venus. Venus still has some comparative advantages but it is going to be a small niche product. Elite modders are usually two types: engineers looking for problems to solve and artisans looking to express their visions. Neither groups need market validation to fulfill personal satisfaction. If your objective for Venus was to produce a successful product defined by the number of endorsements, downloads or third party mod support then my "professional" conclusion is that the product missed its launch window. PS: It is generally not a good idea to insult or taunt potential customers if you are looking for support of your product. That is for creative types who neither care nor need validation for their arts, or at least they pretend to.

Sadly there aren't any smaller butt mods for females that I've seen, which is really a shame because small butts can be really sexy too. Those are pretty good and look like something you'd actually see walking around town. As for the more common (in reality) less perky and softer breasts, that's not really possible with the game's limitations but some modders have tried to at least make it an illusion with textures, and it usually looks way better than BBP animations. You probably wont find any good hanging breast simulators either, again because the game is limited. Also, what's with all the drama on a fuckin porn site lol

Call me crazy, but the subject of "realistic body" conjures up images of bodies that you "could" see in real life on a regular basis. UNP is just that Skyrim body. You should be able to pull off something close to UNP (in shape) with BS2, but it wouldn't be as high quality as an actual UNP body is. I only mentioned my girl to stress the point that I'm not your average gamer you'll run across on the 'net. For one, I am older than most here. I am definitely not your stereotypical gaming nerd by any stretch of the imagination.

Cause as far as I'm concerned, all of the most prolific body mods seem to create or attempt to create a fairly accurate depiction of body types that do actually exist in reality. Otherwise, we'd likely be repulsed by it, no?

Venus @60-100 ist the perfect body mod, if you like sporty and busty ladys. Is it realistic? Of course not, because the average girls are fat pigs, like the average guys. But who wants to play that?

A very slender body can still be fleshy and not just skin on bones. Also slender skeletal structure does not define one's physical prowess. There are many feats of strength not directly proportional to muscle mass. Bruce Lee has a very slender body too and I doubt anyone would dare to accuse him for being anorexic or question his toughness.
