Suludi Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I'm not giving up yet. I think I did cry for help in this forum before but right now, I can't find my topic. So, once more: I have a gamebreaking bug in my total conversion esp, and after st least fifty hours of work, I'm quite reluctant to kick it in the bin. The problem appeared when I rode around in my new land, then got off my horse and went for a swim. When I went back to my horse to ride on, nothing happened. Without warning, the activation function had crashed and written itself into the esp, not the savegame. From this moment on, I couldn't ride, couldn't craft, couldn't open scripted doors. when I go back to playing Skyrim with this plugin activated, the bug transfers to Skyrim games as well but disappears when I deactivate the esp. No savegames are affected but when I run savetool.exe with a save on the corrupt plugin, I get this as "active": FunctionMessages 0SuspendedStack1 0SuspendedStack2 0unknown_uint32 00000000unknown0count 0QueuedUnbinds 0Version 5WaitOffset_1_count 0WaitOffset_2_count 0WaitOffset_3_count 0UpdateOffset_1_count 31UpdateOffset_2_count 7UnknownstringsCount 1unknownBBs_1_count 0unknownBBs_2_count 0unknownBBs_3_count 0unknownBBs_4_count 0unknownCCcount 0unknownDDcount 4unknownEEcount 1unknownFFcount 33unknownGGcount 0unknownKKcount 2unknownLLcount 0unknownMMcount 0unknownOOcount 0unknownPPcount 0unknownXXcount 0 I don't know what this means but it doesn't show up in my "normal" game. If anyone can help me, I'll be forever grateful.

Veladarius Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 My suggestion is to open the esp in TES5Edit and look for entries that you know you didn't make and delete them, just make sure to back it up first.
b3lisario Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Same as Veladarius, I'd delete stuff from the mod using tes5edit until the bug dissapears
Suludi Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! I can't believe I didn't try this before... apparently, my esp had messed up dozens of activators. Deleting the entire "object activation" category in my plugin FIXED IT. *worships you forever* Of course, I accidentally wiped my entire screenshot files and all my other mods saved only at /Skyrim/ because my Creation Kit fucked up again, had to be reinstalled and simply murdered my entire game in the process but IT WORKED!!!!! *dances*
