Rebeginning My Journey To Oblivion..

So looking around at all the lovely work people have done with Oblivion has made me want to return to it, but i've found that while it is difficult to return to games like Fallout 3, Skyrim, and other such games, it is a (seemingly) impossible task to try and gather together many of the best mods from over the years for this game (mostly due to the fact that many of them were taken down )

 

To make it a tad easier on myself i would like to ask everyone just what mods/compilations/overhauls should i try shooting for to get the best this old beast of a game can offer.

 

Also to add a bit of context as to why i feel its so difficult to round up stuff for Oblivion i came across a Russian overhaul/compilation called Oblivion Association, and while it seems like the perfect combination of all the best mods, however it is in Russian.. a language i can't speak. This made me kind of depressed because, again, that pack looks seemingly perfect. I've also noticed a bunch of the bigger/better mods in that perticular pack are no longer readily available for download.

 

So yeah, any and all help would be absolutely wonderful.

Awesome, thanks! I've made a good bit of Moddin' progress since i made the post, and have already got my game to a very nice playable level. I must say the work people have done for Oblivion over the years simply amazing.

I gave it a look, and yeah, though it does look very promising i think i'm going to steer clear for now. Pretty much everything else that's been linked (besides the sex stuff) i've already integrated into my game, and then some. However i've already had to do a lot more troubleshooting than i'm used to, and that is with mods that are supposed to work together perfectly; i can't imagine what it would be like with trying to mix them with FCOM atm.. =P

If you want a decent overhaul mod without having to deal with things like FCOM, get Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul. Mostly uses scripts to alter level lists and the like, so it's quite stress-free....

Wat? only if you don't know how to install it. I've used it for years and I never have CTDs.
