Outfit Studio: Any interaction with mesh creates gaps

Let me preface this by apologizing if I've posted in the wrong place. As this is such a unique/specific problem I

couldn't really think of where would be the most relevant to post.

also i had earlier created a similar post but now I have waaay more details.

The Problem

Whenever i load a mesh into OS, it is offset or scaled. This creates a mesh gap at all seams (neck, wrists, and feet)

It does not matter what mesh I load. I have even loaded CBBE_Base as an outfit onto CBBE_Base (CBBE Advanced) as a

reference.

I have three examples to further clarify.

Examples

For example, if I generate the Caliente Advanced body as usual everything works fine.

But if I load it onto itself (as explained above), Sliders -> Conform All. and then save the project...

The generated nifs have the mesh gaps.

Another example. If I save a project, and then overwrite the generated base nif with one that was orignally working

(e.g. the one I imported as an outfit) the body works fine at max weight. But the generated low weight nif has the

mesh gaps. Therefore all weights less than _1 including _0 have a progressivly increasing gap.

Last example. This is the closest I've come to circumventing the issue. Say I want to copy weights to a body. Obviously

this doesn't work in bodyslide without creating a gap. So I imported the both meshes into Blender, used a script to copy

the bone weights, and then exported the resulting mesh. Everything works at this point. The second I try to do anything

with it in bodyslide, the problem from example two pops up.

Conclusions

So my conclusions from all of this (and correct me if I'm wrong) are the following:

- The problem is happening within Bodyslide/Outfit Studio. Example three shows this.

- The problem is not with the nif itself. Example one shows this.

- The problem has nothing to do with skin partitions (I get the same partitions on output)

- The problem is consistent and repeatable (I get the same exact gap each time, no matter the mesh)

- The problem is a giant pain in the ass.

So, at this point I don't really know how to test this any further. Hopefully somebody here knows either

the answer, or at least what I can do to figure it out.

Many many thanks and likes galore for anyone that can help.

I have tried it with a clean install and it still occurs. However, when I import an outfit and do nothing with it the problem does not occur. Thanks for the help.

I was getting neck gaps like this, was messing around with it some today to try and figure out what was causing it. My problem turned out to be mismatched skeletons. I had configured OS to load the xpmse skeleton and forgot that I went back to xpms skeleton in my game data. Once I pointed the config back to the normal xpms skeleton in the bodyslide\res folder, the last 3 outfits have been ok. I was even able to load up previous projects and resave them and the gaps went away. Hope this helps someone else. going to go play with a few more, hopefully it is taken care of.

Holy shit I think that's it. Thank you so much.

I just looked and I am using xpmse in game. So maybe creating the body using the default xpms is what's screwing it up. I'll make an edit after I've checked.

Edit: Nope didn't fix it :(
