Z0mBieP00Nani Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I get something similar pretty often. The way I get around it is to load a previous save inside a building, like Breeze Home or a shop or inn and then once I'm in the game I load the save I was trying to start from origonally. At least that usually works for me.
germanicus Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 There was some unrecoverable error in loading you script(s) in Restoration Ritual Spell quest. You can try to solve this in several ways: 1. Reloading previously save might solve this problem. 2. Reload the previous save and using the console, the quest can be set to an earlier stage where the faulty script does not occur: setstage MGRitual04 10. By doing so, the script should terminated, but it would restart the Restoration Ritual Spell quest. And since the script is prepped at stage 20 and starts at stage 30, setstage 200 to complete the quest is not recommended. Alternately, you can use console code: completequest MGRitual04 to move the duplicated quest entry to completed section. 3. Load previous save and type in the console command; set MGRitualRestBook to 0. 4. If you don't have previous asves, you can fix it in Tesedit5 using this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PwODYFxRds
...0... Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Seems the USKP have a conflict with MGRitual maybe wrong compatibillity patch ? Maybe wrong spells patch? Have you activated the fnis for spells? Logout in a single cell without npc's then repeat what you did see and save right there see if it crash again. If so its prolly some patch that is not the right one? Patches can crash your game maybe disable and see what happen? Im no expert on this so pls don't burn me for wrong advice
Spyder Arachnid Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 MGRitual is the Restoration Ritual Spell quest from the College of Winterhold. After you complete it, it spams the crud out of your papyrus log. Only way to stop it from spamming, is to give yourself the quest again. No idea why it does it, but it does. Just one of those little annoyances. The crash when loading a save might be caused by memory issues. Have you tried loading a previous save, like in an interior (a safe zone or something), and then try loading your main save? Usually that works, cause it is less load. If that works, then like I said, probably a simple memory issue.
Uriel Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Loading a safe save, then loading failing one is not a safe solution. Skyrim is kinda buggy here too.
Lendova Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 Tes5edit not helped at all. Boss marks all DLC (dragonborn, heartfire, dawnguard) for tes5edit+cloak.esp (cloaks of skyrim). Tried to edit both of them with it then tried just the cloak.esp. (have a backup from every bsa, esm etc) I did not completed any restoration quest nor visited Winterhold or used any restoration spell (during 30 hour of playtime, lol ). Not installed any spell mod. Sadly, nothing yet.

So some mods overload memory and the game crashed unrecovreably. The easiest, but longest way is to turn off some mods, one by one, starting with those that eats up your game memory. And then clean save with save cleaner. ANd then other following steps you already know.
Lendova Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 Dont tried everything, but after a lot of time i changed my mind then reinstalled the game and started a new game to try out some interseting and new mod for me. The advices help to stabilize my new game (had constant crash at a point and some random later). Thank you all for the tips and helps! +like for everyone, if i have nough (how much i can spend in a day?) edit: technial subforum dont have "like" option?
germanicus Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I'm glad it finally works for you. As you can see, "likes" are up again.
Dubhorizon Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I only encounter those if I'm on a gameplay of many hours into the questline. I've read it has to do with how many changes you've done to the world of skyrim and scripts running of course. The thing is, If you load another savegame and WHILE in game you load the one that CTDs it will load properly. I also read it's a bug with the game engine itself.

You - "The thing is, If you load another savegame and WHILE in game you load the one that CTDs it will load properly." Me - The game will load, it is true, but not properly because it will load registered error(s) written in the script and that will cause more errors (later on, as you progress through the game). Also, if you load another save while been playing the game, you will lost present save regardless saving.
